Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

Chapter 144 Pillow Guardian

"You are supposed the be asleep currently," Mia muttered with a pouting face as she stepped inside the room.

"The same is true for you. My body is well rested due to the gaming pods." Zack replied as his sister came over and sat beside him.

She then rested her head on his shoulder before closing her eyes. She had taken this position many times yet this one was comfortable for her.

"Zack, I think something is wrong with me."

"Why?" Zack asked back while frowning as he heard Mia sigh. The next moment, a purple window similar to his appeared in front of him.

Name: Mia

Zack rubbed his eyes twice to make sure that what he was seeing was not a dream. After making sure that it wasn't a dream, he looked at Mia's face.

His sister had already pulled her head away and was giving him a sad smile.

"I don't know what I am supposed to do with such a status." She said before making her status window private and removing it.

If Mia hadn't been awake at the time of the status page appearing, both Zack and Emma would have seen her status. Mia was not comfortable with anyone else knowing her status due to the abnormal number of question marks.

"Do you have any skill or spell, Mia?" Zack asked with a serious look as his sister shook her head. Sadly, he didn't have any skill that he could give her and let her use to see whether she had mana or not.

Zack had a few theories about the question marks but none of them had any solid facts behind them. All he could do was sigh while looking at his sister.

"Go sleep, Mia. We will talk about this tomorrow morning." Zack suggested as Mia nodded and suddenly laid down on his bed.

She then closed her eyes and tried to fall asleep. Zack blinked his eyes in confusion as he looked at his younger sister sleeping on his bed. There had been a few instances where they had used to sleep together but that was something in the past.

'Well, I am not sleeping anyway so it doesn't hurt to lay down beside her.' He sighed before going to the opposite side of the bed and lying down.

The bed was large enough for five people to sleep in it without touching each other so Zack and Mia had plenty of space with them.

The girl was asleep within a few minutes of closing her eyes while Zack wore the VR glasses and entered Hikari once again.

'I need to find a suitable dungeon to check the working of the team.' Since it was still night inside the game, Zack decided it was the perfect time for him to go dungeon hunting.

Originally, he planned to go to the eastern edge of the kingdom where the border between the Heridor kingdom and the Eizenburgh kingdom was situated.

He wanted to visit one of the dungeons yet searching blindly was going to lead him nowhere. Instead, he went to the library of the capital and snuck inside through the back door.

The entire thing was completely dark as Zack lighted his index finger on fire, knowing very well that the entire place would go on fire if the flames touched a single book or shelf.

He quietly tread through to the reception of the place where a wooden podium stood straight. Zack immediately extinguished the fire and placed his right hand on the wooden book.

[ Please choose the category of the book you are looking for: ]

'Dungeon.'

[ Please select the name of the book or some details to help in finding the book: ]

'The Dungeon Zone Guide.'

[ Sell the book or copy the data? ]

'Copy data.'

A mechanical voice resounded inside Zack's head as numerous pieces of information filled his head. The podium was a very overpowered artifact that was considered at least a mythological grade by the players.

It would allow anyone who placed their hand on it to search through the entire library to find the things they needed. As long as a librarian was present in the library, no one would be able to use the artifact.

Nobody knew about its true properties anyway since inspect couldn't be used on it. Zack then silently left the place the same way snuck inside while thinking about all the information which had appeared inside his head.

He was now able to see which dungeons were present around the borders and what type of beasts they had. Depending on that, he managed to choose a dungeon that he liked and thought was a good challenge.

'But before that, I have some things to take care of in real life.' Zack logged out once again and lifted the glasses off his face.

He then sat up to see Mia's mouth being slightly open as drool came out of her face. The scene brought a smile to his face as he moved down from the bed and walked towards the top of the mansion.

With a deep breath, he summoned Chastiefol as the golden spear appeared directly in his hand.

[ A sub-form of the seventh form has been unlocked due to the constant exposure to new surroundings and the lazy responses of the guardian. ]

[ Pillow Guardian(sub-form): A red-colored pillow exactly like the replica will be summoned on the usage of the sub-form. The pillow can fly in any way you want and offers the ability to store fire-type attacks inside it. ]

Zack raised his eyebrows while looking at the sky. He could already expect the Phoenix to be lazing around in its place.

'At least I don't have to suffer while flying on the spear.' Zack thought with a sigh as he summoned the newly unlocked sub-form.

A giant red Phoenix appeared in front of it, looking like an overstuffed stuffed toy. Zack didn't say anything and climbed on top of the Phoenix.

He then willed the toy to fly forward as it took off and rose in the air.

'Off I go to find some humans to see their behavior.' Zack thought before he shot forward at the speed of lightning.
