Chapter 192: Elemental Command
Carmen was utterly speechless at Xu Feng's response.
Nevertheless, she knew he was joking, given Xu Feng had been providing ample support to Jeff, helping him ease the burden.
She might be unskilled, but she had witnessed the team that she had partied up with enough to notice how a coordinated team should be.
During the time when numerous Raburles suddenly appeared out of the bush, she had seen Xu Feng subtly buffing Jeff even more without hesitation.
Just based on those actions alone proved to her what kind of person Xu Feng was when the situation was grim and serious.
'He's really one of a kind.' Carmen noted to herself.
Sometime later, Jeff made a war cry, gathering every aggro of the Raburles to focus on him solely.
"As expected of Jeff," Xu Feng commented, not a bit surprised that Jeff knew what to do as an experienced mercenary.
"Carmen, try to summon your lesser elementalist to help lessen the pressure that Jeff will face now." He turned to her and suggested.
"Eh, okay…" Carmen muttered, summoning her lesser Elementalist.
Afterward, she began controlling them, but the Elementalist movement was worse than a toddler attempting to walk on their two feet.

It was wobbling around, and occasionally bumping into a tree.
"..."
Seeing her control was worse than most amateurs, he was starting to understand how even her beauty was not enough to keep her in the team she joined.
"Think of controlling the Elementalist like a car," Xu Feng quickly advised.
"Your Elementalist is the driving wheel, and your mana manipulation is the acceleration and brake. As for your concentration, imagine it being the shifter of the PRNDL."
Alas, Carmen felt even dizzier when she heard his car analogy.
"PRNDL… What is that?" She questioned.
Instantly, Xu Feng realized his mistake. In today's age and day, who the hell would still drive a manual car? Everyone was using AI to drive them from place to place, and he was no different either.
However, he still learned how to drive a manual car, given it gave a cool feeling when being the driver of a supercar.
"Here, try to mimic my movement." Xu Feng decided to show a practical example instead.
He extended his hand, a soft glow enveloping his fingers as he summoned Sacred Fire, a majestic flame that danced and swirled with a life of its own.
The Sacred Fire moved with fluid grace, following Xu Feng's precise and deliberate gestures.
'The control is so smooth…' Carmen watched, mesmerized, as the Sacred Fire dodged and weaved through the Raburles with ease.
Meanwhile, Jeff, who was busy confronting the many Raburles, was infuriated.
He was here risking his life, but Xu Feng was taking the situation as some training camp.
'If you weren't a noble, then I would definitely bash that pretty face of yours.' Jeff begrudgingly cursed silently, heightening his focus on the battle and ignoring Xu Feng's conduct.
A few minutes later, Xu Feng canceled the Sacred Fire and smiled softly, "Do you understand now?"
"Yes, I can see what you did." Carmen held her staff tightly, nodding in understanding.
"Okay, let's see you try again."
Without bothering to respond, she closed her eyes and began taking a few deep breaths.
'You can do this, Carmen.' She reminded herself.
After she opened her eyes, her concentration reached a new peak as she summoned her Elementalist, who responded with greater precision this time.
Manipulating the fire-type Elementalist, she controlled it to form a fireball and shot it toward one of the Raburles, hitting it squarely and causing it to stagger.
"Nice shot!" Jeff exclaimed, taking the opportunity to deal a fatal strike at the staggering Raburle.
"Not bad, Carmen. Now try to control two Elementalists." Xu Feng clasped his hands and suggested. He looked tranquil and calm on the surface, but silently, he was astonished by Carmen's swift learning. With only one demonstration, she was able to grasp the concept and even went above and beyond his expectations.
To be fair, he simply wanted her to control the Elementalist to create a new distraction for the Raburles, causing them to split their attention. In return, Jeff would have an opening to kill those attracted to the Elementalist.
However, his expectation was shattered ruthlessly when not only did Carmen control the Elementalist better than previously, she was even able to manipulate it to cast a spell of its own to assist Jeff.
'I forgot she got to level 6 because of the EXP point.' Xu Feng smiled bitterly, having blundered on this aspect.
Elemental Command, a skill that was available for unlock once a player reached level 5.
The skill allowed the summoner to exert precise control over the summoned elemental, enabling them to cast spells independently. Additionally, its effect enhanced the summoner's ability to effectively control them, granting them the capability to cast supportive and offensive spells.
Despite the skill description and effect, it was easier said than done. Divine World was not a game where if you unlocked the skill, you would automatically be able to use it as you will.
Instead, one needed to take the appropriate time to actually learn the skill and perform the necessary steps to unleash it.
Thus, previously, Carmen who was ignorant of the Elemental Command, fumbled terribly at controlling the Elementalist she summoned.
Yet thanks to Xu Feng's guidance, and her quick learning ability, she was able to mimic and perform the required steps.
Of course, that was Xu Feng's intention from the start, but he forgot that Carmen could also use the Elementalist to cast her own personal spell to disrupt the enemy.
This was something Carmen adapted herself without Xu Feng's subsequent advice.
"So it's like this," Carmen mumbled, loving her new improvement as she attempted to reenact the same scenario, except with two Elementalists this time.
'Ignorant she may be, but once taught correctly. She was definitely not an easy foe to contest again.' Xu Feng commented silently, feeling even more reassured and eager to get her to his side.
