Chapter 133 – You have to hold onto your moral bottom line (3)

Ruan Xia didn’t know there was a surprise waiting for her. When Little Wang heard the sound of a car parking, he ran to the front door with his short legs to wait for his dad.

Song Tingshen didn’t stay in the car for long. He already bought this bouquet, which meant he had already decided to give them to her. He picked up the bouquet, opened the car door, and got out of the car.

When he got to the front door, he paused for a moment to contemplate. Right after he swiped his fingerprint to unlock the door and opened the door, Little Wang rushed out to hug his thigh. Little Wang looked up and grinned at him. “Dad!”

Song Tingshen would normally pick him up, but since he was holding a bouquet today, he really couldn’t.

Little Wang looked at the flowers in Song Tingshen’s hand. “Wow!” Then, he ran to the stairs with his short legs and shouted, “Mom, dad bought flowers!”

Ruan Xia was walking down the stairs. She didn’t immediately register those words and continued walking down. It was only when she had gotten to the bottom of the stairs and saw Song Tingshen standing in the living room with a bouquet of champagne roses in hand that she froze in surprise.

What did this mean?

Those flowers, they were probably for her? Other than her, there was only Little Wang and the housekeeper aunty in this home. Song Tingshen obviously wouldn’t give flowers to either of them. So then, there was only her. But, why would he want to give her flowers? Was it because of what happened this morning? No, that didn’t seem right. He was so calm this morning!

Little Wang was still excitedly calling out, “Dad bought flowers for mom!”

It was so nice to have money!

“The flowers that dad bought are prettier than the ones this morning!”

The four-year-old kid was only concerned about excitement. Although he wasn’t sure what he was excited about...

Ruan Xia walked over to Song Tingshen. She didn’t know what expression to show.

Song Tingshen felt awkward too, but his expression looked as calm as always. He stuffed the flowers into her arms and said in a very calm tone, “A child might find it strange if his mom gets flowers from someone that’s not his dad. Little Wang might ask me tonight why I didn’t give you flowers. Still, I want to make my position clear. I’m not angry or doubting you over what happened this morning.”

Ruan Xia understood.

He was only giving her flowers because he was worried that Little Wang would ask him a difficult question. And so, he had simply brought a bouquet before Little Wang asked him anything.

She could understand why he did that. After all, she had originally thought Little Wang was too young to care about her getting flowers. However, it was obvious that Little Wang had feelings about this.

Of course, it was his words at the end that was the most reassuring thing. Ruan Xia felt relieved. Although she knew that based on his personality he wouldn’t be angry and there were no romantic feelings between them, Ruan Xia was still gratified to hear he wasn’t angry and that he didn’t doubt her. Since he had said those words, he probably wouldn’t refuse if she asked him for help.

Ruan Xia’s happiness soared up. She smiled at Song Tingshen and said, “Thank you.”

She didn’t know if it was a psychological effect, but she felt that this bouquet was much more beautiful than those 99 roses!

Song Tingshen thought it over. Before walking upstairs, he whispered to Ruan Xia just in case, “Don’t sell these flowers to someone else.”
