Chapter 1631 A Killing Tool

Chapter 1631  A Killing Tool

Inside the ice cube. Grey was fully conscious, he was trying hard to stop the miasma from corroding his body. He could feel his mind wavering, a sign of the miasma as well. This miasma wasn't normal, hence its outrageous ability to attack not just his body, essence, but also his mental energy. If his body is badly corroded, he could still fix it, but the moment his consciousness is corroded, then it's all over. This is something he knew about, so he did everything in his power to keep himself awake, and at the moment, the only thing keeping him conscious is the pain he is going through from his flesh constantly falling off and regrowing. All his muscles were being broken down and then regrown at a frightening speed. This was a painful situation, but this is the only solution he has to keep himself awake and sane. If he lets his body heal up quickly, his consciousness will not be able to fight against the corrosion given the short time. So he planned to keep himself awake by treating his light element like a switch that goes on and off. His muscles would be destroyed by the miasma, and he would use the light element to heal them, just to stop using the light element so as to allow them be destroyed once again, using the pain to keep himself awake. In that state, time didn't seem to matter to Grey as a second turned into a minute, and a minute into an hour, and an hour into a day. He lost track of time, and entered a state of constant repair and damage, going through excruciating pain with each turn. He was completely clueless about what was happening outside the ice cube. ….

"What the hell is this? You call this cooking, you pig!" "Well at least I am willing to try. You couldn't even set up the fire properly, you dumb fuck!" "Your entire brain is filled with water, and I'm disappointed I allowed myself to become friends with someone like you." "What the hell are you even talking about? I saved your life a few days ago."

"If I knew you were going to give me this piece of crap to eat, I would've preferred if that Squid ate me." "Klaus, don't think I won't beat you up."

"Rey, even if I were a corpse, you still don't stand a chance to beat me… Hahaha!!" "Fuck! I'll kill you!" Alice looked on as the duo were about to start brawling like enemies. She sighed, and said, "Klaus, Grey's ice cube is thinning out again. If you don't reinforce it, it'll give our location away, again." "You can't even do one thing right." "At least I always finish at the appropriate time, unlike someone I know.. Haha!" Klaus laughed in a manner that infuriated Reynolds. "It was just one time!"

"Haha! That's what they all say." "Fuck!" The duo were about to start once again when a fireball exploded in their middle, forcing them apart. The duo, who seemed to be on the verge of killing each other a few moments ago, turned to Alice.0

"Are you planning to kill us?" "Yeah, what's that about?" Alice's eyes twitched and her face turned serious as her voice turned cold, "Are you two really thinking about doing this?" When the duo saw her expression, they snapped back to their senses. "Oh! It's you, we thought it was someone else." Klaus shivered, "I'm going to check on Grey." With that statement, he disappeared from the scene, leaving Reynolds alone with Alice. Reynolds felt like he was betrayed after Klaus disappeared without even trying to help out. "Since you're in such a good mood to fight, why don't we spar?" Alice asked with a bright smile. To others, Alice looked like a beautiful gentle lady with that smile on, but to the boys, whenever they see that smile, it's like they were staring at a demon crawling from the pits of hell and coming straight for them. Even Grey does as much as he can to avoid sparring alone with her. "I'm going to check on Klaus to make sure he's properly checking on Grey." With a lightning speed, Reynolds disappeared from the scene, not daring to stay there any longer. Whenever they've sparred with Alice from the time they knew her, it has never ended well. Even after they've grown to become stronger, they are still always reminded by her superior strength when they just started out, and they find it difficult to remove that image of her from their heads. "Hmph! I thought as much." Alice knew that the boys were all afraid of her. Well, given the fact that she was able to completely bully them with her strength for well over a year, and being the only girl in the group, she's overly protected by the others. Meaning, if one of them dares to accidentally hurt her, the person is basically digging his own grave. From what Alice knows, even though neither Klaus and Reynolds had visited while she was training in seclusion, they were actually seen once close to where her Faction was located. Even though they've denied it, she knew they went over to have a conversation with her supposed partners.

She chuckled at the thought of how her boyfriend started acting a bit differently when she came out of seclusion. It was only after a few days together she was able to convince him not to worry about them, that they were just being overly proactive and didn't mean any harm. Luckily, Grey didn't have the time to visit him, if not, he would've been scared shitless. ….

In the cave. The entire cave has turned into a place for the dead. Literally every living thing in there is dead due to the gas exuding from the ice cube. When Klaus arrived, he saw that the miasma had thinned down considerably. He furrowed his brows as he looked at it. Reynolds appeared behind him and locked his brows as well. "The ice is getting destroyed at a faster rate. This isn't good, is it?" Reynolds looked at Klaus. Klaus shook his head. One has to know that Klaus has one of the toughest ice creation abilities out there. Even Alice's Seelie paled in comparison to Klaus, yet his ice was being thawed out within the space of a day. During the first period, it could last for at least three days, but after a week, the time was reduced to a single day. During one of the times, Klaus wasn't around since he didn't expect the ice to thaw out so soon, so their location was exposed to a few Magical Beasts, luckily no Gnome was around. The bunny leader indeed picked a good spot. All the flowers in the cave were dead, and even the walls of the cave looked like it had aged by over a hundred years. Klaus reinforced the ice cube and walked out, standing some meters away from the cave. Alice came to join them, and seeing the situation, she had a worried look on. "Don't worry about that guy, at worst he's just going to look like a corpse, but he will be alive." Klaus consoled her, not that his words were comforting since he seems to be implying Grey wouldn't be able to keep his normal appearance. "Do you even want him to recover?" Reynolds couldn't help but ask. "Of course! How else do you think we'll be able to safely leave this place without him?" Klaus looked at Reynolds like he was a moron. Without Grey, they would technically be trapped here. And if the top experts of the Gnome world returns, then they could as well just hide here for the rest of their lives. They were still discussing this when they felt a powerful wave of energy burst out from the ice cube. Klaus turned to look at the cave and remarked offhandedly, "You see, he's even on the verge of breaking through."

After his statement, he seemed to freeze, realizing what he just said. Not just him, even Alice and Reynolds were a bit shocked at the current development. Void appeared and without a word, he unleashed his space domain. 'Space lock.' This was one of the abilities of Void's space domain. It could seal the entire space, making sure nothing enters or exits the space. It was different from how he usually uses his domain which makes use of the spatial element to keep people trapped in a particular spot no matter how much they run. A space lock can be broken by someone on the same cultivation stage as himself, but his normal domain can trap even someone two stages above him. ….

Inside the ice cube. Grey was still going through excruciating pain, but at the moment, his consciousness was very clear. In fact, it was stronger than anything he has ever felt before. 'This miasma is too strong. I need a means to store it, if not I can only release it.' The miasma was so powerful that Grey was confident it could kill a few Late stage Sovereigns. At the moment, Grey seriously needed to kill one, the First Prince of the Gnome world, and this was his best shot. He couldn't stay too long in the Gnome world since he knew those who were in the God's tomb would be leaving soon. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
