Almighty Summoner System

Ban stared at the sprawling Rogue Red Termite in the ground.

Seeing its state, he could not help but feel pity for it. However, unlike the Red Termites that don't attack people on the get-go, Rogue Red Termites are just like the Demon Ants, killing people the instant they see them.

Just like what happened earlier, this Rogue Red Termite even had the gall to ambush him. He thought that it's just justified that he treat it back that way.

He does not consider himself a saint, even more so after he experienced what happened two years ago. He already decided by then that he would get revenge, no matter what.

Seeing that the Rogue Red Termite doesn't have a use anymore, Ban was just about to cancel the Blood Contract when he noticed little Eva was staring at him with a pondering gaze.

"What is it, little Eva?"

Krrr! Krrr! Krrr!

Eva made a dozen or so hand gestures as she explained what she had in mind to Ban.

Ban listened and analyzed carefully what she was trying to deliver and Ban could not help but tilt his head after realizing what she meant.

"Hmm? You don't want me to cancel its contract? Why?"

Krrr! Krrr! Krrr!

Eva nodded her head as she made hand gestures again.

"I see! That's actually true. While there might not be any penalty for canceling a Blood Contract, according to its description, I might experience some pain while doing so."

"Alright! I'll let it stay inside the Beast Tattoo for the time being. I could also see the Beast Tattoo effects this way."

Eva reasoned that they might need the Rogue Red Termite in the future and it's not necessarily good to dispose of it this early. She said that Ban should at least give it another chance.

Ban nodded his head in approval of Eva's suggestion. He did not think deeply about it and his mind focused on the word 'revenge' for what it had done earlier.

Ban now realized how inhumane he treated the Rogue Red Termite before, milking it dry to the last drop.

However, Ban did not entertain such thoughts any longer as he knew that he was never a perfect kid, to begin with. He does make mistakes sometimes and he's just glad there's Eva now that could help him with things he could not analyze carefully.

Ban felt amazed by the thinking Eva exhibited this time, he knew that Summoned Monster does have their own feelings and thoughts but he never thought his Beast Summon has this high of an intelligence.

According to the Adventurers, the higher the intelligence of a Monster and a Beast, the stronger they are compared to the others. After all, intelligent Monsters and Beasts could think for their own.

He could not help but give Eva a gentle pat in the head while thinking about it.

Eva closed her eyes as she basked in the feeling of being patted by Ban.

A while later, Ban decided to store the almost dead Rogue Red Termite inside his Beast Tattoo for it to heal its injuries.

According to the [Book of Techniques] All About Them, this kind of injury that is caused by their own Bullet Strike Skill should be able to regrow back after two weeks. It also won't grow magically as, during this time, they need to be constantly eating minerals to help with the healing process.

However, Ban won't proactively heal the Rogue Red Termite but if he does manage to find some suitable minerals, he might feed it to heal faster.

The body of the Rogue Red Termite glowed for a moment before it was sucked away by the Beast Tattoo that was situated on Ban's chest.

Ban stroked it lightly for a moment before he proceeded deeper into the cave.

After an hour, Ban collected another 22 Pieces of Red Cave Rock and he now has 62 pieces in total. Ban thought that it was not enough as he planned on earning two Gold Coins from this quest alone.

He's now only 38 pieces away from his goal but there was a problem that stood in his way.

He could no longer see anything around him, as they were now very deep inside the cave. There's no longer any light that could reach here and he only relied on Eva's skill to reach this point of the cave. And with the 15 minutes cooldown of that Skill, he thought that he could not rely on it that much.

He then recalled the Rogue Red Termite that he stored inside his Beast Tattoo and its passive skill that allowed it to see in dark environments.

An idea struck his mind as he gazed at Eva beside him. "Little Eva, during the time I used the [Skill] Possession, what did you feel?"

Eav thought for a moment before she gave hand gestures as her answer to Ban's question.

"Nothing in particular? Just the feeling of being not in control with your body?"

"I see, it should be alright then!" He rejoiced as he planned on using the possession with the Rogue Red Termite.

However, thinking about its 4 hours cooldown he hesitated for a moment. The [Skill] Possession could be treated as a lifesaver. If ever they got to a point where Eva could no longer fight, he could just let her possess him and he would be able to gain one of her [Skills] in random.

After thinking it over, Ban finally decided to abandon his idea. No one knows of the future and he couldn't help but think of the worst-case scenario.

And besides, he's also not sure if he could get the Rogue Red Termite's passive [Skill]. Who knows what will happen and he's even more afraid of wasting the [Skill] Possession that way.

Ban just released a heavy sigh as he waited for Eva's [Skill] Sensor, cooldown to finish.

After another hour, they managed to find another 15 pieces of Red Cave Rock. He now has a total of 77 Red Cave Rocks, 57 more than the Quest Requirements.

Ban wanted to go deeper again but considering the time he spent here, he estimated that it might already be noon outside.

He's also afraid of encountering a group of Red Termites if he ever goes deeper.

He could only sigh in defeat as he decided to go return with 77 pieces of Red Cave Rocks in his possession.

However, what he didn't know was that by completing the Quest with 77 pieces of Red Cave Rocks, he will be garnering the attention of one of the influential persons of Eagle City.
