Chapter 6: Dogs a man's faithful companions.
Chapter 6: Dogs a man's faithful companions.
Not long after Wuji left, the disciples of the sect finally arrived, only after the chaos had settled.
"What happened here?"
"Where are the Sect Master and the elders?!"
They searched the area but found nothing except a desolate, burned-out hole.
The ignorant disciples didn't know they were stepping on them.
Wuji didn't kill everyone in the sect; his sole targets were the upper echelon, the decision- makers. Although he despised the entire sect, he couldn't bring himself to Yun Che them.
Not to mention that even without him taking action, the survivors wouldn't have a good life in the future.
The other forces in the region wouldn't let such a fat, juicy piece of meat slip away, especially the royal family, who had been suppressed by the Unity Sword Sect for so long.
With the strongest of these disciples being at the Spirit Profound Realm, most of them wouldn't survive.
So it didn't matter if Wuji didn't take action.
The space in the cave trembled slightly and Wuji appeared.
Inside the cave, Xia Ming and Wang Hai were still unconscious. Wuji aimed his index finger and fired two red plasma beams, which pierced their bodies and ruptured their veins.
"Agh!"
"Ahh!" The pain woke them both.
"Where are is this?" Xia Ming, still with broken bones, could only turn his head.
"It's you!" he exclaimed upon seeing Wuji.
"No! My cultivation!" Wang Hai exclaimed upon noticing his profound energy seeping from his body.
"Why?! Who are you? Why are you so cruel?" he asked frantically, bewildered by Wuji's actions.
"It seems that you've also forgotten," Wuji asked scratching his chin. "Five years ago, do you remember Old Man Yue Gu?"
"You!!"
"I remember now! You are the brat that runs away with the treasure!" Upon hearing Wuji's words Xie Ming instantly understood why he felt familiar when he first saw him.
"You were his disciple!" Wang Hai exclaimed, realizing the connection.
"Correct! Congratulations! You won the prize! Your reward will be delivered right now!" Wuji clapped his hand with a warm smile on his face.
"What... what are you going to do?!"
"Don't worry, it won't take long," Wuji replied, already feeling bored. He had harbored great hatred for five whole years, but when the time came for revenge, he didn't much satisfaction and even began to feel bored after a while.
But he would, of course, he would not abandon his revenge. This wasn't just for him; it was more for his foster father!
"..." Hearing him, both men felt their hearts sink as if they had been dropped into a cold cellar.
Wuji gave them a sinister smile and walked out of the cave.
"Where did he go?"
"I don't know."
"Damn! We need to get out of here!"
"How? We're both crippled!"
"Are we just going to wait here to die? Damn it!"
At that moment, they heard the sound of footsteps. When they looked toward the entrance of the cave, they saw Wuji walking slowly, accompanied by two imposing dogs. Both were jet black and stood one and a half meters tall. Their legs were thin but muscular, giving them a sleek and menacing appearance.
But what attracted their attention was the thing dangling between their legs. It was as big as a horse!
Suddenly, both men had a bad premonition, and an eerie feeling crept over them.
"What... what do you want to do?!" Xie Ming whimpered in pain, trying to move backward despite his broken limbs.
"I am obviously preparing your reward. Don't worry, you'll definitely like it!" Wuji explained with a sinister grin.
He prepared these dogs beforehand, especially for them.
Wuji took out two pills and fed them to the dogs. These animals were typically savage and aggressive, not allowing anyone near them. However, after Wuji gave them a good beating, they became surprisingly obedient. They ate the pills without hesitation.
These pills were something he had accidentally created during casual experiments. They are a special type of aphrodisiac, that works only on animals.
As for why use them now, well you can use your imagination...
Unlike Yun Che, Wuji spent most of his time experimenting and testing his powers, particularly focusing on the pill-refining ability of the Sky Poison Pearl. This in return yielded
him great rewards and accelerated his cultivation speed significantly.
"Please, let us go! We'll do anything!" Xie Ming begged desperately, he seemed to guess what's do gonna happen.
Wuji ignored him, after feeding the dogs he waved his hands, and the wind stirred and surrounded both of them, shredding all their clothes.
"No! Please stop everything except this."
"I beg of you, please Kill me!"
He disregarded their desperate pleading. With a final wave of his arm, the wind stirred, positioning both men favorably for what was about to unfold.
"Oww!"
Wuji swiftly kicked each dog, sending them directly behind each man.
"Wait, please! I can give anything!"
"No please, stop!!!"
"Well, enjoy your reward. Farewell~" Wuji waved at them with a smile, then turned to leave. The air trembled momentarily, and he teleported away.
"No!!!"
"Get away from you best!"
"No not there! Not there!"
"Arghhhhh!"
Wuji didn't stay to watch the show, it was too heavy for him. Once the dogs finished their task,
they would devour both men.
As for the probability of something unexpected happening, Wuji took this into account and set up an explosive formation inside the cave. It would explode in three hours, which is slightly above the estimated time for the drug effect to wear down.
He let out a long breath, even though less than two hours had passed since the start of his revenge. It felt like four chapters had passed-oh, I mean, it felt like a long time had passed. After resting briefly, he teleported once more, this time heading towards the edge of the
continent.
He teleported several times before finally setting foot on a beach.
A salty breeze washed over him, clearing his chaotic thoughts. Wuji stood silently, taking in the sight. This was the first time he had seen a beach since coming to this world. The beach on this word was beautiful, with soft, golden sand and gentle waves rolling in. Palm trees lined the shore, their leaves swaying in the breeze under a clear blue sky. It felt like a peaceful getaway right at the edge of the continent.
"Sigh, I'll come back!" With a sigh, Wuji gave the landscape one last glance before shooting
into the sky.
The Azure Cloud Continent is about five million kilometers away from both the Profound Sky Continent and the Illusory Demon Realm. Even cultivators at the Sovereign Profound Realm couldn't traverse this distance; aside from the dangers along the way, they would deplete their energy before even covering half the distance.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Fortunately, Wuji was a special case. He wielded the power to control space, and his energy reserves and recovery abilities were extraordinary.
Wuji flew for a few hundred kilometers before focusing and using 60% of his energy to
teleport. The space trembled, and he vanished.
When he reappeared, he was over 100,000 kilometers away, surrounded by a vast expanse of
blue sea.
Although the sea seemed peaceful, it concealed far more danger than the land.
Most of the beasts on this planet lived beneath the water.
The planet consisted of 97% water and 3% land, with each continent occupying 1% of the
land. The Profound Sky Continent and the Illusory Demon Realm were relatively close to each
other, while the Azure Cloud Continent was far away. Due to this vast distance, only a few ancient scrolls recorded its existence.
Even with just 1% of the land, the Illusory Demon Realm had a population of roughly seventy billion. One could only imagine how many living creatures thrived underwater.
Splash!
Suddenly, the water splashed, and a huge fish surged from the depths.
The fish was 30 meters long, with gleaming blue scales and razor-sharp teeth extending over
half a meter.
It opened its massive mouth and lunged at Wuji, attempting to swallow him whole.
Wuji glanced at the fish before dismissing it. It was only a late-stage Emperor Profound Realm beast. He increased his speed and soared higher into the sky.
If they were elsewhere, he could have dispatched the beast with ease and turned it into sushi.
However, killing it here might attract other monsters. Who knew if he would be unlucky and draw an even stronger beast?
To play it safe, he decided to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary conflict.
After flying for an hour, Wuji had recovered around 80% of his energy. He then used 60% of it to teleport, leaving 20% reserved for emergencies.
