0057 – Regional War

After a night of intense battle, Athena's overall strength can now be considered truly enhanced. Last night before sleeping, she used the skill of tranquility and ate a mutated orange, so when she woke up this morning, she didn't feel any fatigue at all.

At the moment the regional battle began, a medal appeared in Athena's hand. The medal was silver, with nothing on it, more like an iron plate. At the same time, their system panel popped up with a map, marking various areas, with two prominent areas on it.

One was the blue area where region 003's players was located, and the other was the red area where they were currently situated. But now, both of these areas were losing their brilliance rapidly as the barrier disappeared, turning into ordinary areas at a fast pace.

Between the two areas was a desert, surrounded by dense forests. Compared to the open desert, the forest was certainly better for concealment.

In both areas, there were dense clusters of red dots representing each person, and after three hours, these red dots would all disappear, leaving only the top ten on the map.

As soon as the barrier revealed an opening, Athena and most others quickly dashed towards the nearby forest, trying to find places with fewer people and avoiding being with the majority.

While running forward, Athena didn't forget to look back. In their region 004, one person chose to stay behind. The reason she noticed him was that he had turned into a clump of sand, blending into the desert and disappearing.

Even within their own 004 region, there was no absolute tranquility. There was a short and unsightly man surrounded by countless flies. As he ran, the flies dispersed in all directions. But they mostly targeted relatively slender males and females like Athena. Attached to each person, he himself ran in another direction, intending to hide.

The person chased by the flies didn't intend to sit and wait for death either. He abruptly changed direction and rushed towards the unsightly man, but there was a certain distance between them. Unless something unexpected happened, in general, he wouldn't be able to catch up.

Athena just glanced at the direction the fly-ridden man fled and didn't bother with the flies buzzing around. With everyone successfully dispersing, as she successfully turned a corner, Mikmik emerged from her shadow.

With an extremely cunning angle, Mikmik lightly leaped up and slapped towards the fly. However, Mikmik controlled the force well and didn't kill the fly outright. The fly lay weakly on the ground, still moving slightly. Athena grabbed a leaf from nearby and wrapped it around the oversized fly.

Observing her surroundings, she indeed found a good hiding spot. It was between two large rocks. She threw the fly into it. The place was good in every aspect except for its small space, making it difficult to move around. She placed some straw there and from a distance, it seemed as if someone was hiding there.

Athena placed an explosive ball under the grass. The explosive ball she made was very unstable; even a slight disturbance could easily trigger it. Because it was of inferior quality, there was also a chance of failure. It all depended on that person's luck. After doing all this, she dashed off in another direction.
