Building A Business Empire From Scratch In Another World

Chapter 31: 31 : Awakening

Over the past three weeks, Felix has been busy training all the employees to ensure they perform perfectly.

The chefs, in particular, have been undergoing intense training with Chef Gideon, who is very strict but effective in familiarizing them with the menu.

In addition to work training, Felix has been dedicated to exercising and even dragging the others to join him in early morning workouts.

With the combination of high-quality food and regular exercise, everyone has seen improvements in their physique, with Brixton standing out as the most muscular of the group,he became more burly,Felix didn't understand why this guy would suddenly gain such muscles.

As for Felix, he has also seen significant changes in his body, gaining more muscle and even developing faint six-pack abs. Zephyr has also shown improvements, becoming taller and more toned.

The girls have not been left behind, with their skin becoming more radiant and beautiful.

--------------------

Currently in the Edel District, Felix is entering through a six-story building where he had purchased a mansion. The building is nearly deserted, as not everyone has the means to buy property in this exclusive area.

Felix walk towards one of the desks placed across the room.As Felix approaches the desk, he notices a young girl dozing off with one of her hands supporting her chin, bringing a smile to his face.

Felix stood in front of the desks, observing the girl sleeping with a silly smile on her face. He shook his head and lightly knocked on the table, startling the girl awake.

"Who... who?" the girl murmured, rubbing her eyes as she tried to focus on the person disturbing her beauty sleep.

"Hello, Miss Clair," Felix smiled as he waved his hand in front of her eyes. This young girl was Clair, who had sold the mansion to Felix when he first arrived.

"Um, ugh! Who are you? And what do you want?" Clair said with a yawn.

"Miss Clair, have you already forgotten about me? That makes me quite sad," Felix said, pretending to be hurt.

"Huh!" Clair was taken aback for a moment. She took a closer look at Felix and was silent before finally recognizing him.

"It's you! Mr. Felix, right?" Clair exclaimed.

Felix chuckled and nodded. "I thought you had forgotten about me."

"No, no, no, Mr. Felix, how could I forget about you? You were my first client, after all," Clair said with a smile as she stood up from her chair.

"So, how have you been doing? Do you like the mansion?" Clair asked.

"Yeah, I've been doing well. I also quite like the mansion, it's perfect," Felix answered.

"So, what brought you here? Are you looking to buy another mansion?" Clair asked eagerly with shinning eyes.

Felix's lips twitched at Clair's question. "No, Miss Clair, I'm not here to buy a mansion."

"Oh, what a pity," Clair's eyes dimmed with disappointment.

Felix's lips kept twitching. Did this girl think money grew on trees?

"So, if you're not here to buy a mansion, what do you want?" Clair asked.

"Miss Clair, didn't you mention before that besides selling houses, you can also assist with hiring staff to manage the mansion?" Felix inquired.

"Oh, so that's what you're looking for. Yes, what I mentioned earlier is true - we do provide those services," Clair confirmed.

"Well, Miss Clair, I would like your help in hiring staff to take care of my mansion," Felix requested.

"Alright, let me know what you need so I can find the right people," Calr said as he pulled out a piece of paper, ink, and a quill.

"I'm looking to hire around fifty people - cooks, cleaners, gardeners, and coachmen. I also need experienced child caretakers," Felix explained. Calr took detailed notes of Felix's requirements.

"Is that all you need, Mr. Felix?" Calr asked.

Felix thought for a moment and then nodded, "That's pretty much it."

"Okay, Mr. Felix, give me three days and I'll find the perfect candidates for you," Calr said with a professional smile. "As for the salary, you'll need to set the amount, but it won't be cheap."

Felix agreed, "Don't worry about the salary, Miss Calr. I want the best and most professional staff, so I'll double the standard rate."

"Don't worry, Mr. Felix. I'll make sure to deliver satisfactory results in three days. Just be patient," Calr assured with a smile.

"Thank you, Miss Calr. I'll be on my way then," Felix said, nodding.

"Goodbye, Mr. Felix," Calr waved as Felix left the building.

The reason Felix needed to hire staf is to take care of the mansion because the restaurant was opening soon, and he wouldn't have time to manage everything, especially with the children. They needed help with the carriages too, as they were now well-off and could afford a coachman.

Felix couldn't imagine the owners of the most luxurious restaurant in Brigdemoor city driving their own carriages - it would be embarrassing.

With these thoughts in mind, Felix shook his head and headed back to the mansion.

-------------------------

Time continued to slip by as another five days passed. During this time, Felix and the others followed their usual routine of waking up early, doing their morning workouts, having breakfast, and heading off to the restaurant to train the staff. The hired workers had mastered their duties and responsibilities, while the chefs had become experts at cooking each dish to near perfection.

----------------------

"Tomorrow will be the opening day for the restaurant," Felix announced to Trinity, Gwendolyn, Brixton, Zephyr, and Nixie.

Currently they were all gathered on the training ground at the mansion, showing faint excitement in their eyes.

They had been eagerly anticipating the restaurant's grand opening.

But before that, I have something something to show you guys ", Felix said ashe pulled out a small crystal clear stone from a box on the ground.

The stone was the size of a fist and flickered with starlight, looking particularly beautiful. The group looked at the crystal with curiosity and confusion.

"Wow, big bro, what's that? It's so beautiful," Nixie exclaimed, stepping forward to get a closer look with sparkling eyes.

"Big brother, let me see it," Trinity said suddenly, reaching out for the crystal. Felix handed it to her, and she examined it closely. After a few seconds, her eyes widened in shock.

"Is this an awakening stone?" she asked Felix, astonishment in her voice.

"What! An awakening stone?" Zephyr exclaimed, clearly shocked.

Felix looked at Trinity and Zephyr with bewilderment, wondering how Trinity had known what the stone was.

Zephyr's reaction indicated that he also recognized the awakening stone. Felix narrowed his eyes as he observed them both. Not everyone is familiar with what an awakening stone looks like, although most people have heard of it. The reason for this is that awakening stones are rare and only mages and powerful factions possess them.

Even if you wanted to purchase one, it would require a significant amount of money and connections.

"It seems these two are more than meets the eye," Felix thought as he studied them.

"What's an awakening stone?" Brixton asked, scratching his head in confusion. Gwendolyn also appeared puzzled, unsure of what an awakening stone was.

Zephyr took a deep breath and explained, "An awakening stone is a rare and magical stone used to test and awaken one's mana affinity. It determines if someone has talent in mage cultivation and reveals their specific affinity to the elements. It's not something that can be easily purchased, as it is both rare and expensive."

"What!" Brixton and Nixie exclaimed in shock, their astonishment evident in their eyes. Though Gwendolyn's face remained expressionless, the shock in her eyes betrayed her emotions.

Felix confirmed, "As Zephyr said, this is indeed an awakening stone."

"How did you manage to get an awakening stone, big bro? Zephyr mentioned it was extremely expensive and rare. With the amount of money we have, I doubt you could afford it," Gwendolyn questioned. Trinity and the others turned to Felix with suspicion, especially Trinity, whose clenched fist emitted crackling sounds.

Felix nervously gulped and adjusted his collar, noticing Trinity's clenched fist.

"I purchased it from the black market. The price wasn't too high, and the seller seemed to be in a hurry, so he sold it to me cheap," Felix explained nonchalantly.

Of course Trinity and the others couldn't believe of Felix lame excuse, but they knew everyone had secrets.

"Let's just focus on the fact that we have an awakening stone," Felix said, dismissing their suspicions with a wave of his hand.

The group agreed, realizing that how Felix got the stone didn't matter as much as the fact that they now had it in their possession.

"So, who's going to test it out first?" Felix asked with a smile.

Everyone hesitated, nervousness plastered on their faces, except for Trinity, who was quite calm. Even Gwendolyn, who usually had a stoic expression, looked nervous.

Seeing no one step forward, Felix shook his head, " The if no one is coming then I'll go first".

With that he placedhis hand on the awakening stone and closed his eyes, the surrounding suddenly fell silent as they watched.

After a few minutes, the stone began to emit a bright light that grew more intense. Flames and lightning erupted from the stone, surprising everyone.

As Felix felt a mysterious force entering his body, he was overcome with a sense of comfort.

Suddenly, a loud shout interrupted the moment, and Felix opened his eyes to see the flames and lightning surrounding the stone.

" Bi..g b .ro you have dual affinity: Fire and Lightening".Zephyr said in a trembling voice.

It was not only him Trinity also had a shocked and daze expression on her face.

" Wow big bro you are such a monster to have dual affinity" Brixton also said in amazement and shock.

" Ha ha ha my big bro is a Mage ha ha ha" Nixie burst into uncontrollable laughter. Her eyes flashing with intense excitement.

Felix shook his head when he saw Nixie jumping around

" Ok who is next " Felix said as he looked at everyone.

" Me me me " Nixie immediately raised her hand with deep expectations in her eyes.

" Ok come " Felix said as he handed the awakening stone to her and stood aside.

Nixie took the awakening, taking a deep breath to calm down she placed her hand on the awakening stone and followed what Felix did previously and closed her eyes.

After a few minutes, the stone reacted, emitting bright lights and cyanswirling energy. A gentle wind blew through the training ground.

A few moments later Nixie opened her eyes and looked at the awakening stone with a lost expression.

" Big bro what element did I awakened" She asked.

" Congratulations Nixie, you have affinity to the wind element" Felix smiled.

Nixie eyes were wide open, " Wow " She exclaimed in excitement," Ha ha ha ha! From now on I Nixie Morningstar is a Wind Elemental Mage " .

" Ok Gwendolyn come it's your turn " Felix said as he handed the awakening stone to Gwendolyn.

Gwendolyn nodded expressionlessly but her clenched hand betrayed her nervousness.

She took the awakening stone, placed her hand on it and closed get eyes. Five minutes passed.

" Why does it feel cold?" Nixie said as she rubbed she her shoulders,it was not only her the others also felt a slight chill in the air.

" Look at Gwendolyn" Felix smiled.

Nixie looked at the awakening stone and found out that frost were quickly covering the awakening stone and spreading across Gwendolyn hand.

Gwendolyn opened her eyes and looked at the awakening stone with excitement evident in her eyes.

" Congratulations Gwendolyn, you have affinity to the Ice Element " Felix smiled.

Gwendolyn smiled and nodded, if she said she was excited then she was lying, she was really excited.
