Building A Business Empire From Scratch In Another World

Chapter 53: 53 : Jarvis

The crowd gathered around, taunting the Elf, but his expression remained calm and stoic. He didn't flinch as the shirtless, burly man mercilessly beat him.

" Since you are too stubborn and won't yeild then it is better to kill you otherwise you will let me lose a lot of customers" the shirtless burly man suddenly said as he reached out and took out a long machete a few meters away.

The onlookers' expressions suddenly shifted to ones of joy and interest as they watched.

Anticipation gleamed in their eyes as they gazed at the Elf, like livestock waiting to be slaughtered.

The shirtless, burly man raised the machete, ready to behead the Elf.

What the others didn't notice was that as the man swung the machete down, the Elf's expression changed.

Emotions finally appeared in his eyes, but it wasn't fear - it was relief. Yes, there was relief in the Elf's eyes. His lips slightly curled up as he closed his eyes, as if he was already waiting for it.

Just as the machete was about to land on the Elf neck.

" Wait!" A slight loud voice sounded.

The shirtless, burly man quickly stopped in reflex, the machete just inches away from the Elf's neck. If the voice hadn't sounded out earlier, the Elf would have had his head chopped off.

The onlookers had disappointed expressions on their faces as what they were expecting didn't happen.

They were anticipating the Elf's head to be lying on the ground with blood and gore spilled everywhere.

The muscular man without a shirt turned to face the person who told him to stop. Felix strolled over to the shirtless man with a smile on his face.

The man scrutinized Felix with narrowed eyes, looking serious. He attempted to gauge Felix's strength but quickly realized he couldn't read him at all.

" You are the one who told me to stop?" The shirtless burly man said in a cautious tone.

Felix nodded, still smiling, his lips curled up. The shirtless, burly man kept a cautious eye on Felix, while the onlookers watched with curiosity, wondering what Felix was up to.

"What do you want?" the shirtless man asked.

"I want to buy him," Felix said, pointing at the Elf kneeling on the ground. The shirtless man and the onlookers were surprised. The Elf was beaten and bloody, not the typical choice for buyers.

"You want to buy him?" the shirtless man asked, seeking confirmation.

"Yes," Felix nodded. The Elf looked surprised, not expecting anyone to want him in his current state.

"What's the price?" Felix asked casually.

The shirtless burly man took a deep look at at Felix, hesitated for a moment and answered," 1,000 Gold Coins, since he is already in this state I'll give him to you at the price of a 1,000 Gold Coins ".

Felix nonchalantly nodded, with a flip of his hand, a small bag appeared on his hand and he threw it to the shirtless burly man.

The shirtless burly man eyes slightly widened in great shock but he quickly concealed it, he looked at Felix with a respectful look on his as he slightly bowed to Felix.

It was not the shirtless burly man who was shocked, there was quite a commotion among the onlookers when they suddenly saw a bag appeared on Felix hand.

"Please Sir, wait for a moment. I'll grab the slave scroll," the shirtless, burly man said to Felix as he quickly entered the shop.

Onlookers stared at Felix in shock, some with greed in their eyes as they looked at the silver ring on his index finger. But they quickly came back to their senses, they knew anyone with a ring like that was no ordinary person.

A few moments later, the man returned with a black scroll and handed it to Felix.

As Felix opened it, he saw mysterious runes and symbols inscribed on it, with a captivating drop of blood in the center that seemed to fade in and out.

This black scroll was known as the slave seal, holding the life and fate of a slave in its hands.

With a slight smile, Felix made the slave seal disappear from his hands. He nodded at the man and the Elf who was also present, then turned and walked away without saying a word.

The Elf, kneeling on the ground, watched Felix leave before slowly getting up,a fe secondsater he struggled to stand up and followed him.

The shirtless burly man and the onlookers watched as Felix and tge the Elf disappeared from their view.

After a few minutes of walking, Felix suddenly stopped, causing the Elf to do the same. Felix turned to the Elf and with a flash, the slave seal appeared in his hand.

The Elf looked confused as Felix smiled at him and then tore the seal apart, watching it burst into black flames and turn to ashes.

As the slave seal was torn apart and burst into flames, the Elf's body shook slightly and a drop of blood leaked from the corner of his mouth.

He looked at Felix with shock in his eyes, wiping the drop of blood from the corner of his eye while still staring at Felix in shock.

Felix smiled at the Elf and said, "You are free." With that, he turned around and continued walking forward.

The Elf stood rooted to the spot, staring blankly at Felix's back, his eyes filled with a mix of emotions.

After a moment, he snapped out of it, looked in the direction Felix was heading, and slowly followed.

Felix shook his head, hands in his pockets, as he strolled through the Slave Market. His expression was calm, lost in thought.

Suddenly, a smile spread across his face as he glanced over at the corner of his eyes and saw the Elf trailing behind him, fifty feet away.

Felix acted as if he hadn't noticed, said nothing, and kept walking. The Elf followed closely, maintaining the exact distance.

To onlookers, they appeared like ordinary people on the street, except for the stark contrast in their attire.

One is in luxurious clothing while the other is in tattered and ragged clothes with bloody marks in his body. The sight was quite strange

The sight drew the attention of passersby.

Thirty minutes later, Felix exited the Slave Market and stopped at the entrance.

A few minutes later a luxurious carriage pulled up, and without hesitation, Felix climbed in.

The carriage didn't immediately leave but waited, a few moments the Elf approached, hesitated for a moment, then entered the in carriage.

Felix smiled as he watched the Elf enter the carriage.

He gazed at the Elf with curiosity in his eyes as the Elf calmly took a seat across from him. The carriage started moving, leaving the Slave Market behind and heading towards the Edel District.

Felix turned to the Elf and complimented, "You're quite clever. You made the right choice."

The Elf remained silent, maintaining a calm demeanor. The Elf following after he freed him shows that he was quite smart,if he haven't followed Felix after he have freed him.

Who knows he might once again be captured and turned into a slave once again, since he doesn't have any strength to protect himself to begin with, so deciding to follow Felix was a wise and smart move.

Without the strength to defend himself, the Elf could have easily been captured and enslaved again. Following Felix was a wise decision indeed.

Curious, Felix asked, "What's your name?" The Elf hesitated before responding in a hoarse, emotionless voice, "My name is Jarvis."

Felix was surprised,he looked at the Elf with a weird look and ask"Do you know someone named Tony Stark?"

Jarvis shook his head, clearly puzzled.

" Never mind I was just asking" Felix waved his hand nonchalantly and then asked again, "What's your full name?".

Jarvis hesitated before revealing, "My real name is Jarvis Aegisbane Ravenshroud, a once High Elf."

Felix was taken aback by this revelation. He looked at Jarvis with deep shock flashing in his eyes.

He didn't expect that this unassuming Elf sitting before him was once a powerful High Elf.

Felix is quite knowledgeable about the Elven Race.

From what he recalls, the Elven Race is divided into different kinds: Wood Elves, Sun Elves, Moon Elves, Dark Elves or Night Elves, Elemental Elves, and High Elves. Each type of Elf excels in a specific element or strength.

For example, Wood Elves are skilled in controlling wood elements and excel in healing magic.

Sun Elves draw their strength from the sun and are proficient in the Fire Element, making them one of the most destructive Elves.

Moon Elves, on the other hand, derive their power from the moon and excel in the Water Element, as well as healing magic.

Dark Elves or Night Elves are natural-born Assassins, masters of the night and shadows, and skilled in using hidden weapons.

Elemental Elves are the second most powerful among the Elven Race and are born with proficiency in a single Element, often reaching Tier 2 Intermediate Mage or Knight status from birth.

As for High Elves, they are considered the Royal Family of the Elven Race, have the highest bloodline and can control three or more elements, including special elements like Time and Space. Their strength is unparalleled, and they hold authority over all other Elves.

That's why Felix was surprised to learn that Jarvis was a High Elf, as he didn't expect a member of such a prestigious lineage to be in a difficult situation.
