Chapter 152: Lacking in Points

Chapter 152: Lacking in Points

In the Thundergod Academy, Wang Ling went out of the Student Records Hall after confirming that he was back and was already an inner circle student.

Some of the staff and students were shocked to see someone who left three years ago and come back as a Grand Saint. They looked at him like he was some kind of mystery.

However, Wang Ling paid them no attention. Also, he had them informed of Bai Xue's cultivation and had then registered her early on. They attested that she was already a half-step grand saint cultivator.

They easily did so as Bai Xue could easily be observed as she slept/cultivate on Wang Ling's shoulders. As he left the Student Records Hall, talks surfaced about him and Bai Xue.

Bai Xue was some sort of star who appeared three years ago and won her freshmen competition with a landslide victory. She not only moved faster than anyone else to defeat everyone as quickly as possible, she even beat them down so much that some of the students run away.

It was a glorious sight for Bai Xue, but because she left as soon as she came. The name Bai Xue did not stick for so long. But some people still remembered the day when the white fox single-handedly played with everyone.

Wang Ling did not know of this story. Because the only story he got from Bai Xue was the summary that went like this, "I beat them all up." That was it.

After visiting the Student Records Hall. Wang Ling did not go to the [Thunder Dome] where the competition was held. Instead, he went to check the items in the Thunder Treasury.

Wang Ling entered the treasury that looked like a palace grand hall than anything else and checked the items it was selling.

There were a lot of signs that led to different places that advertise different items. He looked around and saw the area where they showcase the ores they are selling.

He entered that place and it didn't even take him a minute to locate the Everchanging Holy Stone. Wang Ling saw a big signboard that is showcasing the Everchanging Holy Stone that was a block with an approximate size of 7 inches wide and 4 inches in height.

The Everchanging Holy Stone looked like an overgrown diamond. But its color was that of a pearl. It was pretty to look at and it was oozing with qi that is quite like angelic qi but because it was more impure, it was a different type of qi.

It was holy qi. The qi surrounding the pearly white Everchanging Holy Stone was holy qi.

Wang Ling became happy after finding the Evrchaning Holy Stone. But after seeing its price, he was left speechless.

[50,000,000 points for a single ore?] Wang Ling sighed as he could feel his pennilessness. The second highest item in the treasury ore room was 30,000,000 points. The Everchanging Holy Stone was the kind of stone that was level of its own.

Wang Ling really wanted to just up and leave, but he knew that the 50,000,000 points was the cheapest he can gain this item. Academies would usually assign fair prices in their items and sometimes lower than the market value it supposedly has.

He did not know how many points he can get for completing a mission in this academy but he was sure the good ones would have some restrictions placed upon them. Wang Ling needs to move so he can rake in points.

Thinking things through, Wang Ling remembered his old methods and started thinking of ways on how he can exploit the system of the Thundergod Academy.

Currently, he has around 26,000 points. He needs 50,000,000 points and he was far off his current target.

Wang Ling began to think and as he formulated a plan. He walked up to the Thundergod Academy's Mission Hall and indeed, the missions that give 5,000,000 points needed him to be a Grad-A student.

Knowing this provided two vital information. The first information would be that he cannot go out and try completing a mission. The second information would be those Grade-A students must have a lot of points.

Those at the very top must have tens of millions while those lower than them must have millions of points, and then lower should have hundreds of thousands and so forth. Wang Ling showed a devilish smile, he finally made a simple yet effective plan.

First, he went to find a lodging in the outer circle of the academy. He picked one of the cheaper ones that have no array set up around it and left Bai Xue sleeping inside. He was not worried about her safety. Those at the outer circle were either foundational phase or nascent soul phase cultivators.

Try something with Bai Xue and the best you will end up is an intact corpse.

Wang Ling wandered around and left Bai Xue to her own devices. She was cultivating so he also lined up some stellar crystals around her to help her raise her qi.

Wang Ling went into the inner circle and took a walk around. But he didn't had the time to marvel in the sights of the academy. His thoughts were merely in the idea of doing what he had to do at the fastest and most efficient way possible.

Walking up towards the dome-like structure that was near the center of the academy. Wang Ling was presented with a stadium that was large enough to contain a small scale town.

There were streams of people coming and going. There were more people coming in than out and as he entered, the more the excited shouts of the students was heard and the sounds of an explosion echoed out.

Bang! Boom! Bam!

The sounds of punches and someone crashing into something was hear. It was clean and audible, and most importantly, it was an exhilarating sound.

"Nice one senior Tang Tian, you can do it."

"Senior Huang Tianlong beat senior Tang Tian to a pulp!"

Wang Ling heard a lot of commotion outside. As he entered, the fighting had actually already finished and as he stood with the crowd. There was a huge circular stage in the middle of the dome.

The circular stage was hundreds of meters large. It was made from [Black Shell Ore] an extremely hard item that can withstand the hit of a dominion realm expert with ease.

It became clear. The Thundergod Academy that saw as an academy that strives for power advocates the act of fighting to the limitations.

Wang Ling watched as three more students at the True Saint Stage fought with one another. The people fighting were not actually people of the rankers.

They were mere students who wanted to fight and settle some differences.

Time passed and noon came. Wang Ling stood with the crowd, watching and as the sun reaches its peak. Everything became livelier as two students of the same cultivation walked out of the path that led inside the dome.

Wang Ling had information about various rankers on the board.

The rankers of the Roaring Thunder Board final stepped out and got ready to face one another.

Both of the rankers present in the stage and as they stood there, Wang Ling leaned forward as he commented, "Let's see what you guys can do."
