Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 61: Chu Yang

Chapter 61: Chu Yang

The night passed by peacefully and Qing Yi go up the moment the sun appeared and went outside the small wooden house to finish the sorting of herbs she had started yesterday.

"Hm… Seem some people are coming this way…" coming out of the small wooden house, Xuan Hao looked across the river as he looked over at Qing Yi absorbed in sorting all the herbs she gathered.

"Guess I will just go and take a look… Qing Yi, I will go out and take a look at some people who just arrived, I will be back shortly!" Saying so, Xuan Hao unsheathed his sword and flew in the direction where the people were coming from.

"…" Qing Yi only nodded slightly, completely ignoring her master leaving. The herbs she had gathered were just too important…

"Hah… Hah… I-I think I finally managed to lose them!

Somewhere not far away from the river where Xuan Hao and Qing Yi were currently located, a young man ran through the forest as he constantly kept looking over his shoulders. Making sure that nobody was following him.

He had been running for the last two weeks and had finally managed to gain some distance between himself and his pursuers.

"No matter what, I have to make it to the ravine! As long as I manage to get the spirit herb there, I should be able to breakthrough and recover!" Narrowing his eyes, the young man's azure eyes suddenly swept over the bushes a few meters in front of him as he suddenly stopped and brought forward a spear strapped onto his back.

The spear shone with a deadly light as the sun peeked through the leaves above, allowing the spear to look even more intimidating than it had before.

Rustle~

A rustling sound came from the bushes in front of the young man as several black clothed individuals came out with their weapons already drawn.

"Chu Yang, you can't run anymore! Hand over the Devil-Immortal jade and we can make sure that you will die without any suffering!" A tall man with slightly darker clothes and a small red star on his shoulder came forward and told the young man known as Chu Yang.

"Hmph, do you think I don't know what that jade is for!? And do you honestly think I would just hand it over without a fight?" Not saying anymore, Chu Yang rushed at one of the black clothed men that had moved in from his left and stabbed him through the chest. Killing him in an instant.

"CHU YANG!"

Swoosh!

Not wanting to stay and listen to the black clothed man's tantrum, Chu Yang used the opening to hurriedly dart out of the encirclement that had been set out and dashed towards the ravine with the spirit herb.

"Catch him!"

Hearing the voice of the leader of the black clothed men, Chu Yang jumped over a nearby river and darted towards the ravine with all the speed that he could possibly muster.

Swish~

Feeling an arrow encased in a thick layer of qi passing by close to his head, Chu Yang felt a slight shiver go down his spine as he barely managed to dodge to the side.

Looks like the black clothed men would not give him a chance to talk again and would just kill him on the spot… Even if they were asked to bring him in alive, it looked like they didn't care about that anymore…

Well… Rather bring back his dead body than letting him get away.

"Almost there!"

Rushing through the forest, Chu Yang felt inwardly happy that the ravine with the spirit herb in it was located in a spirit valley. The denser than usual qi between heaven and earth, made it harder for his pursuer to lock onto his position. Truly a blessing in disguise!

"There it is! The ravine with the spirit herb, just like I remembered!" Chu Yang finally came to a stop in front of a ravine deep inside the spirit valley.

Normally, a place that deep inside of a spirit valley would be filled with all kinds of herbs, but strangely enough, there was not a single herb in sight. Not even a single Mortal Grade Herb could be seen in the area surrounding the ravine…

Chu Yang did not notice this abnormality and instead just excitedly jumped into the ravine as he rushed towards a deeper part of it.

Not even 10 seconds after Chu Yang jumped into the ravine, several black clothed men appeared where he was standing before entering the ravine.

"Hm… Why did he enter the ravine? Is he trying to corner himself or did he just make a mistake?" The black clothed man with a red star on his shoulder asked curiously as he glanced at his subordinates curiously.

"My lord, he might know about a place to hide inside the ravine or some secret pathway!" One of the black clothed men replied to the leaders curious question.

"I see… That Chu Yang is indeed quite slippery, so he would most likely have something planned! Be careful when you enter and look out for any sneak attacks or traps that he might have set up!" Nodding at what his subordinate said, the leader cautiously moved into the ravine together with the other black clothed men.

In the sky above, Xuan Hao curiously observed the entire chase scene as he wondered what to do and how to best impress the young man called Chu Yang.

The reason for this was simple.

"Talent of 57…"

Other than that, Xuan Hao also thought about the trouble that his "new disciple" carried with him.

But it was not really a problem and even if there was a bit of trouble, there was no way it could be any more than what Qing Yi had already brought…

From what he had heard from the people chasing, Chu Yang had stolen something from them that would apparently help summon a great demon or something… Chu Yang could be considered a good person by taking the demon summoning thing from the demon worshippers in black clothes and all…

"Ah, looks like the black robbed men cornered the little guy" Looking down and seeing the black robbed men surrounding Chu Yang, Xuan Hao smiled cheekily as he decided to take action and safe his future disciple.
