Quest 74- Outside Orario- The Empire, Tenolán
From a distance, riding to the city, Cirrus could see the capital. From afar, it reminded him of Sorshana a bit, but with even bigger-looking walls.
When finally arrived at the entrance, it didn’t take too long to enter the city. The city itself looked vastly different up close than Sorshana did with its architecture. Its structures were as if the Aztec empire had never fallen and evolved with influences from Rome, Spain, and... America?
Several of the buildings were carbon copies of one another, but as they went into the center of the city, the buildings had their distinct looks.
"Heh... It's pretty amazing!" Cirrus said. "Ooo! Churros! Oi, how much!"
"10 valis!" said the street vendor.
"Oh, can I get some too?" said Phi.
After looking around for a bit, they got to an inn and began to look for any information.
The group left in pairs, with Cirrus going with Nox, of course, and Artemis with her captain, and so on.
"Hmm… this city is pretty impressive. It's very lively, with so many bright colors." Cirrus said with a bag full of food he bought from vendors.
"Hm! Hm! It's so pretty here!" Nox said, wearing a cloak.
While walking through the city, Nox and Cirrus paid close attention to the people talking.
"Have you heard Lord Tezcatlipoca has started to invade more of the east?"
"I heard some Familia in the south is building an army!"
"The dwarves in the east have been making some high-quality potions as of late!"
"Rakia is trying to take our lands again! Hahahaha!! Without their magic swords, it's really sad. They just keep throwing men with no strategy!"
"Are you going to watch Lady Quetzalcoatl’s match? It’s with the Enmascarado Serpiente fighting El Toro!"
There were a lot of things going on in the city, most of which were here and there.
"Haaa… I hope Artemis is doing better than us." Cirrus said.
"Well, let's hope being a goddess can get you places… hey, I have an idea!" Nox said, looking at Cirrus with a look in her eyes.
Somewhere else in the city, Artemis was going to meet a goddess.
"Hmm… it should be here?" Artemis said, looking around the streets.
"Is it there where the large crowd is at?" Rethusa said, pointing at it.
"Ah it is! The sign says, Encantador Sol’s Lucha Libre!"
They push through the crowd and enter the building to see people wrestling with one another and leaping through the air, hitting each other.
"ONE! TWO! THREE! THE WINNER IS EL TORO!!!!"
"Uraaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The crowd erupted into cheers as a goddess wearing wrestling attire entered the ring. The goddess had ombre hair with golden hair that slowly goes into a vibrate wavy green. She kept it back in a ponytail. Her eyes were as bright as the sun and her skin was sun-kissed. She had a healthy tan.
"Do you all enjoy the match!!" she shouted from the top rope, her abs glistening from the sweat.
"WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"LADY QUETZALCOATL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The crowd was deafening to Artemis and Rethusa.
"They must really love her, huh, Lady Artemis?"
"Yes very. Let's wait until she’s done."
They waited until the matches were finished, then she went back to meet Quetzalcoatl.
Knock! Knock!
"Who is it?" the goddess shouted.
"Lady Quetzalcoatl, it seems you have a fellow god wishing to meet with you?"
"… Let them in!"
The door opened, and Artemis entered the room. Rethusa stayed standing next to the guard.
Quetzalcoatl could feel the fierceness in the blue-haired goddess.
"So, what is your name?" Quetzalcoatl said, looking at Artemis.
"My name is Artemis; I was hoping you could help me if you can?"
"Artemis, huh? I heard you were a master of the bow! One of the finest in all of heaven! But didn’t you stay in the wilderness? What brings you here to the city?"
"Well, I’m actually looking for a goddess, or more accurately, hunting them before they do more damage."
"Oh? Is she part of that Evilus I heard about? "
"Yes, she unleashed a monster down in the southwestern part of the continent. Several towns and villages were destroyed, even a few kingdoms. "
"That is a shame. What of the people? There are some survivors, right? "
"Few. Much of the land was poisoned, so the people couldn’t even come back and resettle their land."
"Well, what’s this goddess’s name? I'll do my best to help! I can't let this goddess do harm to innocents!! However, before that..." She gets up and walks to Artemis, and places her hands on her shoulders. She stood a whole foot taller than her, with a mischievous smile. "I would like to have a match with you! I heard from Hermes that you are proficient in Pankration. I would like to face it myself!"
Artemis couldn’t help but make a difficult expression as she would have to fight her to get her help first.
'I'll make you pay for this Hermes!!!’
