Chapter 5990: Death Wish
Chapter 5990: Death Wish
This young lord of the Ouyang was a desolate god. He wasn’t a big shot in Sin or anything, but having just one sacred fruit made him an unbeatable monster in this area.
He glanced at the crowd and had no respect for anyone outside of the manager of Splendor Square.
“I care not for you lot, I am here to see the ruins.” He declared straightforwardly, not asking for permission. Of course, this wasn’t up to them.
“As you can see, your ruins belong to us now.” Cloudcrossing Mountain Lord laughed.
The young lord had enough authority and power to divide the territories and resources of weaker sects as he pleased. If they were to refuse, he could easily destroy them himself without needing the help of his clan.
“Young Lord Ouyang, you are out of line. Our ancient alliance has rules.” Edge Mountain Crone spoke up.
“Rules are meant to be broken. You have a problem with this?” His eyes turned cold before delivering a palm strike.
“Boom!” The power of a desolate god descended, far too much for the old demon to handle.
Nevertheless, she roared and formed a mudra, summoning a mountain and mustering her strength.
“Bam!” She was sent flying and vomited blood.
Radiant Master hurriedly ran over to help her.
“Anyone else? Waste more of my time and I will start killing.” The young lord declared intimidatingly.
Both women shuddered, unable to handle the might of the Ouyang.
“Young Lord, your clan is stretching its hand too far.” A royal aura appeared before everyone.
“Sky Step King!” His appearance surprised the crowd - the first brother of Ancient Step and a direct disciple of Beneficence Emperor.
He was beaten by Li Qiye recently but was spared. Why was he here again?
“Hmph.” The young lord said coldly: "Brother Sky Step, you have no business here, or do you wish to stand up for this puny sect?”
“It’s a matter of jurisdiction. Your clan must ask us first before acting.” Sky Step responded.
The others exchanged glances. Geographically, the eight sects of the ancient alliance were under Ancient Step’s territory.
Of course, Ancient Step had never cared for the small sects before, leaving them to do as they pleased.
“I see, your sect wants that place too.” The young lord sneered.
“What place do you speak of?” Sky Step feigned ignorance.
“Brother, we both know there may be a treasure emerging among the ruins here. It might not be anything worthwhile, but I don’t mind taking a look.” The young lord said.
“This is our territory, not yours.” Sky Step shook his head.
Radiant Master listened to their conversation and let out a sigh. Her sect had zero input in this matter; they were utterly helpless.
“Your sect’s appetite grew with its power, but we have never been afraid of anyone.” The young lord’s expression darkened.
“And neither have we.” Sky Step said.
“Your courage knows no bounds just because of your emperor.” The young lord snorted.
“The same could be said about you and your father.” Sky Step retorted.
The young lord’s father was a desolate god with ten sacred fruits - a mighty character.
“Is this how you want to play? Our clan is inferior to no one.” The young lord said.
“True, your draconic god is dominant already, not to mention your ancestor Dragonform Emperor in Enigma. You’re right, that’s too much for our sect to handle.” Sky Step said sarcastically.
Although they were mocking each other, Edge Mountain Crone and Radiant Master along with other members of her sect could never meet these named characters.
Dragonform Emperor was from Enigma and could be the leader of its five emperors. This was a testament to the clan’s true power.
“Of course not, your Stone Aegis Progenitor is brilliant, having slain Eldertree Emperor before. May I ask how the progenitor is doing?” The young lord smiled.
Everyone knew Stone Aegis Progenitor had not appeared since that battle, rumored to have fallen to injuries.
“Listen to you fools bragging about your background.” Someone came in and interrupted their conversation.
Edge Mountain Crone and Radiant Master were ecstatic to see him.
“You!” Sky Step faltered, not expecting to see Li Qiye here.
“Who are you?” The young lord stared at him for a second and found him to be a mortal.
“Who I am is not important. Scram now or I will not show mercy.” Li Qiye said lazily.
“This insect has a death wish!” The young lord became livid and smashed him.
“Bam!” He thought the mortal would be reduced to mincemeat instantly.
“Ahh!” Alas, his hand was pulverized, prompting him to bellow in agony.
“It’s you who has a death wish.” Li Qiye smiled and whistled.
“Raa!” The flood tiger lunged forward with one claw raised.
“Impudent beast!” The young lord prepared this time and channeled his power.
