Chapter 6058: This Is Priceless
Chapter 6058: This Is Priceless
Li Qiye did a full round but didn’t fancy anything. Although some of them were rare and could only be found here, he didn’t need them.
“You don’t like anything, Young Noble? How about this helm, left behind by an old geezer after Immortals Slaughtered?” The owner didn’t give up.
“I have no lack of treasures like it.” Li Qiye smiled and shook his head.
“Then is there anything you would like to sell?” The owner tried a different route: “You can pawn something here for ghost coins. My price is the fairest in the entire market and I take just about anything.”
“Are you sure you can accept anything?” Li Qiye smirked.
“Of course.” He enthusiastically said: “I will have the best price out of anywhere, Young Noble. I’m not boasting or anything but if I can’t offer a competitive bid, no one else can. Moreover, I do straight coins, no debt or anything. Money is just a number to me.”
“Just a number?” Six-style doubted while looking around at the small shop.
“Of course, but I will not take in any of your crappy treasures.” He still had no love for Six-style.
“You sure know how to make it interesting. Looks like your wealth is considerable.” Li Qiye smirked.
“Young Noble, I’m not just bragging.” He patted his chest and said: “It’s this simple, you take out an item and name the price. I will pay immediately as long as it is worth it.”
Li Qiye’s smile widened as he casually took out a primordial light and said: “I just happen to have this dao source, how much do you think it’s worth?”
He stared at the rays emanating from the sphere in disbelief. His jaw nearly dropped to the ground.
“Go on, what’s your estimate?” Li Qiye was amused by his reaction.
He looked like a fish out of the water; his mouth was wide open as if struggling for breath.
After a while, he finally breathed in and swallowed his saliva. He turned red and said: “This... this....”
He couldn’t utter a coherent sentence.
“This, this, what is the estimate?” Li Qiye smiled.
“This is priceless...” He had no choice but to give up, unable to state a starting bid.
“Looks like I have to go somewhere else. Where’s another good pawn shop in the market?” Li Qiye shrugged.
“No one else is as competitive as me.” He looked awkward while attempting to show bravado.
“Forget it then.” Li Qiye waved his hand helplessly.
“Young Noble, well, do you have anything cheaper? Just take out the cheapest item and I will give you a price, I know you require some ghost coins. It’s inconvenient not having any at the market.” He said, changing his tune completely after seeing the priceless item. All of the circulating ghost coins at the market together were still nothing.
“I don’t have anything.” Li Qiye chuckled.
“Sigh, that’s too bad.” He lamented, unable to strike a deal despite having the fortune to see a once-in-a-lifetime esteemed guest.
As he pitied himself, a visitor came into the shop. His imperial aura still oozed outward despite his best attempt to hide it.
He wore a white-jade mask of the cold affinity. The chilling gaze from the eyes beneath the mask could cut or freeze people.
A shadow could be seen behind him but it had a majestic dao aura instead of a ghastly presence. Nevertheless, people still viewed it as a reaper capable of dragging them to hell.
“Six-style Emperor.” The middle-aged man’s eyes became murderous after seeing Six-style.
“Jade-faced Emperor.” Six-style’s expression soured.
Jade-faced was one of Phantom’s six emperors. He only had two dao fruits and was the weakest.
“We meet again.” He said.
“Indeed.” She uttered coldly.
He took a good look at her and said: “Looks like the rumor is true, your cultivation is gone.”
“And?” She didn’t back down.
“There’s no honor in killing a mortal, but I suppose I can’t spare you given our history.” Jade-faced sneered.
“How bold you are now when you would have been a victim to my blade absent Lightwatch Emperor’s inference.” She retorted.
The two were enemies and since Jade-faced only had two dao fruits, she hunted him down like a dog. Alas, the powerful Lightwatch from Phantom saved him.
The situation had changed since it would be all too easy for him to kill a mortal.
“Haha, that’s in the past.” Jade-faced said: “I’m wondering how to kill you.”
He stared sharply at her, seemingly thinking about the best method.
