CHAPTER 318 – Dinner 2: A Bit of Chaos

They were shocked by those words. It made the younger generation wonder how such a composed man was when he was little.

No wonder his children were rascals in their own little way.

"Do not be so shocked everyone. Our families had known each other for a long time. We grew up together and as my friend and playmate, I didn't want to leave her."

"So, Gramps, you mean to tell me, you have been in love with Grandma Zihan since you were small?" Liu Chao asked.

And when Grandpa Liu nodded his head, the younger boy responded sharply. "But you were a kid! What did you know of love?"

"And what do you know of sex?" Liu Houyi snickered at his grandson.

The young man and heir to his father's company were no more than four years younger than Liu Xueyi.

Unlike Liu Xueyi who kept to himself, the same could not be said for his cousin who was a well-known playboy.

Although his actions weren't like most playboys, it was still a given he loved to fool around every once in a while, compared to the other family members.

Thus, birthing the name, Liu family's playboy.

With the words said, one would have expected Liu Chao to shut up and brace himself. Instead, he continued.

"I know a lot about sex and women, grandpa."

"Shut up, scoundrel. You know nothing. The act itself should be one of value. The act of making love with one's partner precedes the act of sex alone. Intimacy is one thing you should build with a partner and make every time count."

"But grandpa…"

"Shut up, I am not done talking," Liu Houyi interjected.

"Fine," Liu Chao grumbled and fell back into his seat sulking.

"Take your grandmother and me for example. She is the love of my life. I do not need to spread my seed everywhere to achieve true love, connection and desire. I have all I want right here."

"That's the old generation," Liu Chao commented.

POW!

As soon as he said that, his mother ensured she gave him a sound slap on the head.

"Ouch! What was that for?" the young man inquired as he turned to the side to face his mother.

"Generation my foot. Can't you be like your older cousin? All you do is cause me to worry."

"Mum, Xueyi is a man of his own choosing. I am as well."

"Keep quiet!" Liu Shen hollered, making everyone feel his vibrations.

They were honestly tired of their son's misbehaviour but talking and talking had solved nothing.

In the end, he couldn't see past his own delusions and that was what bothered them.

"Uncle, Auntie, please appease your anger. He is right you know. I am me and he is him. Comparing us would do no one any good. I believe it is a phase and he would come out of it."

"And did you go through that phase too?" His mother questioned.

She didn't want to agree to her son's reason because he was protecting his cousin. That was a shitty thing.

Knowing her son, he wasn't one to mess around even though he had everything at his disposal to do so. That was what proper upbringing and good behaviour could do to a person.

For her nephew, she could not say the same thing. She blamed his parents to some extent.

They should have curbed it when it was first noticed but then when she recalled how stubborn the young man was, she shook her head.

"No."

"How could he when he is as cold as ice to the ladies," Liu Chao blurted out.

Liu Xueyi sent a scroll at him. He was not one to banter with his cousin but the idiot did not know when to stop.

Amidst all of this, one person found the family bantering funny. Andromeda, who watched from her seat, was fascinated by how they spoke so freely even in her presence.

She had a warm feeling about it all. It was satisfying, to say the least.

"At least he is good mannered unlike you," Yu Ai retorted.

"Enough!" Liu Houyi yelled at them. He was tired of how everyone was pointing fingers when he knew clearly his younger son was also at fault for how his only son turned out to be.

"Grandpa, all I can say is, when he meets the one, he would have no restraints and love her fully. Then all of his antics would be over," Liu Xueyi finalized.

"That's if he doesn't think with his erection and can remain faithful to her."

Most of the family members widened their eyes when they heard that voice.

"Chao-Xing," Liu Chao uttered her name through gritted teeth.

Liu Chao-Xing, the elder of the twins and more troublesome than her brother. Unlike Liu Chao, she was more of a quiet-natured person, but that silence was a danger everyone was beware of.

Even with words, she did not fail to kill her opponent without mercy and since they were at it, she decided to drop a bomb.

He could not scold or beat her as she was his senior, whether, by a minute or two or even a day, the Liu family frowned upon disrespect so much.

All he could do was grumble in his seat while his elder sister got the upper hand.

"Not fair."

"Welcome to life little bro. It isn't fair, else you would have been born first."

A sinister smile adorned the corners of her lips as she maintained a straight face and placed a shred of chicken lap into her mouth and chewed elegantly.

Liu Xueyi heaved out a sigh and apologized to Andromeda quietly. "I am sorry, but this is the Liu family sometimes."

Understanding what he was doing, Andromeda dropped her cutlery and placed a hand over his in a reassuring manner.

"It's fine, trust me. At least it isn't as chaotic as what my present family is," she added.

"Okay but know I love chaos at times," he teased.

"Hhehe, trust me, this isn't good chaos to love," Andromeda whispered back.
