Chapter 390 In His Trap

CHAPTER 390

"Andy…"

"Oh dear, what is it?"

"You know I…"

"Hmm," she nodded and began cracking her bones, getting ready to hit him."

"I'm innocent," Liu Xueyi blurted out in defence.

"Now tell me what part of making love to me with the door open with your father outside, being innocent when you threatened me?"

Gulp!

"I was only teasing. I wouldn't do that," he chuckled lightly, hoping to ease off the weird dangerous tension between them.

"Oh hon, you were teasing but I am serious. One must learn that there are consequences to every action."

Her wicked smile grew but before she got the chance to lay a finger on him, he pulled her by the hand, causing her to lose her balance and fall into his arms.

Taking her distraction to his advantage, Liu Xueyi claimed her lips quickly, silencing any protest with his kiss.

******

Having the repercussion of their actions hit them strongly, Sun Wu Jang trembled with rage.

Within a few days of the news being released, rather than Liu Corporation taking a big hit it actually rose as most persons sought to do business with them.

"Idiots! Scoundrels!" He hollered, flaring his nostrils as his chest rose and fell with great effort.

"Father I..." Sun Yichen's words were instantly swallowed when his eyes met his father's anger.

"You were sure this would make them bend to our will. Now they are most likely not going to sign a business deal with us," he explained.

"I understand your anger father."

"No, you don't. You gave your word that you have Liu Xueyi in your grasp. Holding his secret against him would make him yield. Now not only did you succeed in making him popular, but you also helped in taking them to the top."

He lowered his gaze in understanding. Sure, he did not calculate this outcome which was a big mess on his part.

He was sure that since Liu Xueyi had kept his secret hidden, he wouldn't want to risk it coming out for reasons best known to him.

Who would have thought that rather than fret and do his bidding he let things move swiftly?

"He is definitely not going to do business at all with us after this. First Jingyi annoyed him, now you kidnapped his woman as I am told and thirdly you blackmailed him and then went ahead to release it."

He huffed. His hands raked through his hair as he turned about to face the glass wall in the office overlooking the road.

"This can't get any worse now, can it?" Sun Wu Jang lamented.

As much as he wished to lash at his son, he knew Yichen was way better than his brother and was one who had good air about him.

Mistakes did happen but what would be wrong would be him wasting time punishing the latter over something that was already too late.

"We need to find another means to get through to him. We can skip Liu Corporation for now and aim to partner with other industries and firms."

"As you wish father," Sun Yichen agreed and did not make a hint of argument.

His way had led them to a definite loss. He was willing to try something else.

Ignoring his attentiveness or not, Sun Wu Jang continued, "That way, when we get to the top and stretch out our hand to him, they would have no choice but to accept and who knows, the tables may turn. We would be the one calling the shots by then."

"I wouldn't think about that if I were you?" Sun Wu Jang's brows drew together at the familiar voice and he turned around.

Just in time, Su Mei walked majestically into his office, with the sound of her glass heel clicking against the tiled floor in the office.

Her eyes, sharp, held the glint of an angry woman, bringing forth her wild and ruthless nature in her red and black body con halter neck gown she was putting in.

Placing her bag in her left hand she threw back her hair from her right shoulder as soon as she got close to the chair her son was seated on.

"Mother."

She cast a cold gaze at him, remained quiet and focused on his father instead. There were a lot of things inching to leave her mouth to him but now was not the time.

The last time she acted bitchy a bit, she was the one who faced the brunt of the matter.

"Su Mei," Sun Wu Jang let out softly while keeping a slightly pissed-off expression on his face. "What did you mean by what you said?"

"Isn't it obvious by now? Haven't you figured it out?" She asked, placing a hand on her hips as she stuck one leg out and rested her weight on one leg.

"Figured what?"

"I guess Yichen is growing daft to sit here and listen to you, dream big when none of these is going to happen."

"What do you mean," both men questioned, standing at full attention.

"Exactly what it means. The business partners from Sun's Enterprise are all pulling out from the projects. Everyone wants to be with Liu Corporation now. Little to none wants to partner with us."

"What!" Sun Wu Jang bellowed as he walked closer to his desk and with growing hatred burning deep in those eyes of his, he peered into his wife's eyes.

"You are kidding me, right?"

She scoffed, shrugging her left shoulder and tsked. "You think everyone likes to play? Unlike you who takes pride in doing that."

BAM!

"Shut up!" He yelled at her, slamming his palm on the table as an added effect.

To his surprise, the only reaction pulled out from her was a smug grin plastered on her beautiful face as she stared him in the eyes.

"Are you done?"

He blinked, shocked, to say the least by her response.

"You should know by now the people you are dealing with, Yichen." She swept her gaze over her shocked son and waited for him to stare back at her before pulling away to look at Sun Wu Jang.

"The second Liu Xueyi did not bite into your trap, you should have known you were playing into his game and not yours," she emphasized.

"I…" Su Mei lifted her palm and hushed him. She did not like excuses and he was no exception.

"Wait for the news. Unless something is done, I believe Liu Xueyi would be making plans to ruin us. What shall we do?"
