CHAPTER 63

While she got busy with her life and went out for lunch with Liu Xueyi, her stepmother had other plans for their houseworker.

For a while, she did not visit the lady because she needed to conduct her investigation first on her.

Finally, after gathering as much information as she needed, she made her way to the place they had kept her.

"Boss," the men lowered their heads to greet her. "Welcome."

"Yes. Evening. How is our guest?"

"A bit of trouble but nothing we cannot handle," the leader explained again.

"Alright. Take me to her."

Together all three of them proceeded to the room they had kept her and entered.

Miss Long Su remained tied up but no longer was she held against the chair but left to sit on the bare ground. Only her hands and her feet were bound.

"Hello my lovely guest," Fang Mei greeted.

"I should curse today right, for you to come to visit me," Long Su responded sarcastically.

"Hmm. Well, seeing as your tongue remains sharp, I guess you weren't treated so well. I was expecting the men to give you a lovely that."

"Aren't you the devil? Well, do as your conscience pleases you. Wait, I recall," a sinister smile formed on her lips. "You have no conscience."

Immediately the words fell from her lips, Fang Mei stormed her way over to where Long Su was seated and landed a hot slap on her face.

Due to the fact that she was still tied, she could barely dodge the incoming slap and allowed Fang Mei have her way.

"Funny how the cat tries to play the role of a tiger after eating a few rich meals. Do not forget who you truly are and the rotten background you came from. No matter how well you dress, it cannot hide the rags of your past."

POW!

Her face fell a bit from the second slap that was dished at her, sending her body leaning down at her side. Rather than feel sorry, all she let out was tainted laughter.

"Ahh, oh Fang Mei. Lady Lan was just the naïve one. Do as you please. I have nothing to speak to you about."

"Oh no. I know you do. After all, you just said she was naïve. You must know something and that is why you, maid Long, you shall and you will be my prisoner."

She smiled to herself while still keeping her head low. There was something about this lady that struck her as odd.

She could do anything, just about everything to get what she wanted but for the fact that she went through so much length in doing the things that she did, then there was more than what she knew.

Prisoner, huh, she had expected much. Ever since she went into hiding, she avoided the Kai family and Fang Mei.

Sadly, her luck ran out when she ran into Andromeda. 'Ah, young lady Andromeda, I know a lot of thoughts would be going through your mind now. I am sorry. I wish I could help more.' She lamented inwardly.

Shutting her eyes tightly, she lifted her head and body then shifted on her butt. "You know, the police would notice me missing, right?" Long Su taunted.

"Daring. I like that behaviour of yours," Fang Mei said and placed a hand on her waist.

She blinked a smile at her before lifting her head and staring down at her through her lashes. "I am always a million steps ahead of you. I have tailed around your house this past few days and watched. Guess what I have found."

Long Su remained unmoved and stared with so much boredom in her eyes. "I am not particularly in the mood," she smiled weakly.

"Fine. I shall tell you. I found out that even if you were to die today, no one would miss you. No one would notice it."

"I see." She lifted her eyes and smiled. "My life was just becoming more boring until you came."

She leaned forward a bit and responded, "Worry not, Long Su, I shall find ways to make it interesting for you." She stood back up and straightened her spine. "For now, you shall be released."

"Hmm, I never knew you to be this benevolent when dealing with your enemies," Long Su responded, still wearing her smile.

"Oh no. By the time I am done with you, you would understand my benevolence quite well."

"Sure."

"Take her. Loosen the ropes. She shall be watched every time so as to first do two things."

Her eyes raked through the room, landing on everyone present. "We cannot afford for them to start searching for her. So, we would monitor her."

Everyone nodded in understanding and once satisfied she looked at Long Su again. "I shall be watching. Aside from your normal day-to-day life, you are not allowed to interact with anyone. Got it?"

"Fine. Whatever you say. It isn't like I have any opinion on your decisions."

"Yes, but a friendly reminder. Do not try to go to the police either or your situation would be worst."

Without uttering any more words, she snickered at her and turned around. Rather than wasting time here, she needed to make the right calls and ensure things are put in place well.

"Be thorough guys. No mistake," she ordered as she got to their boss and placed a hand on his cheek before letting it slide down from to his chest. "Be a darling okay?"

"Yes, Boss."

"That's more like it."

She took her exit, leaving them to do the needful and ensure their guest, as she rightly called her, was well treated.

If not for situations, she would have had her been taken care of but she couldn't. Now was not the time to act rashly.

Why she was most cautious, was because Andromeda was reported to have seen Miss Long Su.

'Hmm, Andromeda Kai, I shall deal with you when the time comes. Patience they say is a virtue. I shall prove that statement to you.' Fang Mei chanted in her mind as she got into her car and drove away.
