Chapter 50: Tricky's Very Hard Dungeon

Chapter 50: Tricky's Very Hard Dungeon

Harvard tossed aside the letter the small boy had given him and walked into Lost Incarnate Stronghold.

It had two towers on both sides and a large staircase that led to one of the three dungeons. All three dungeons had to be completed to enter into the Dungeon Competition. Unfortunately, he didn't have a guild anymore.

"Recruiting for our guild! Our 4th member died!" Three beaten up ghost adventurers stood by a table and screamed. A few people laughed at them.

"It's the Palatin Guild. Ha, they suck! How many members did they lose now?"

"They started off with 10 members, and are now down to three! They should be called the extinct guild! Because they're all going to die!"

"I'll join you," Hamlord wiped off the sweat. "How many dungeons have you completed?"

"Just half of one!" The man holding the lance and the shield said. "Ugh, however, aren't you Hamlord! We-we can't let you join! You might curse us!"

"It's either I join, or I kill you," Harvard cracked his knuckles. He seemed serious, but he was obviously not kidding! He needed to get into the dungeon competition to lead the battle against the Krakens! He had a feeling he was extremely important in the battle versus the Kraken, but looked down and saw a golden seal on the table. Strange, was someone trying to tell him something? "What do you say?"

[You have been invited to join the Palatin's Guild?]

[Join? Yes / No]

[Since you are the only member of Snow Lilly's Guild, it will be dissolved?]

'Yes!" Harvard said, "Now, you three! Tell me about yourselves! Why are you all so small and pathetic looking! I want all the details!"

###

[You have entered Tricky's Hard Dungeon]

[Dungeon normally requires party of 10 to enter. Are you up for the challenge, which has led to death for 599 Ghost Adventurers?]

[Bonus experience times 2 for completion of the Dungeon with such a small party! A pathetic small party!]

'Yes,' Harvard smiled and looked back at his three party members. "Don't worry! It will be fine! All we have to do is complete this dungeon, and the next dungeon, and the next dungeon in 30 minutes! Then we can secure the 150th spot!"

"It-it took us three hours last time to find the right treasure chest to even enter the boss room," A beautiful pink haired girl with pigtails and blue glasses said. She had on a wand tied to her back and a large white bandage around her head. "Every wrong treasure chest you open, you have to kill one more monster!"

Harvard smiled and shook his head. It shouldn't be a problem with stealth eye. He walked into the room with the treasure chests, over 100 of them, and then turned around and checked out his party.

[Feisty Lisa] (She's the one with pink hair)

[Level 38]

[Class 1: Ghost Orbswoman (Healing Class]

[Class 2: Orbswoman II]

[Reputation: Terrible at healing]

And

[Grinning Sword-Master]

[Level 39]

[Class 1: Ghost Lancer (Tankish)]

[Class 2: Ghost Lancer II]

[Has a long range attack he uses to draw in enemies]

[Reputation: Terrible at protecting]

And

[Hot Yummy] (Female)

[Level 38]

[Class 1: Respected Final Archer!]

[Class 2: Overwhelming Beginning Archer]

[Reputation: Always wears a mask]

Harvard smiled and was glad he at least found a guild to join. They might not be the best teammates, but he was certain he could make it work. He had yet to try out the skill Magnificent Party, but the prompt for it seemed pretty exciting.

[Magnificent Party - Increases all of your teammates attributes by 5% for two minutes in exchange for decreasing your agility by 5%]

'That's a scam!' Harvard coughed. "There is no way I'm using that! Wouldn't that be like asking for something to kill me!"

Harvard sighed and looked down at the hundred chests and just decided to use Stealth Eye and ultimate Tracking together.

The three behind him looked terrified of each treasure chest, and he soon found out why.

[Trap Chest]

[Opening this will cause an explosion]

[Five people have died from this trap]

'Ouch,' Harvard walked to the end and found one chest that didn't say trap on it. It looked like all someone needed to completely open each chest without dying a miserable death before they could have children was use a simple tracking skill.

"Didn't you guys have someone with tracking?" Harvard opened a chest and took out a key. He opened it up slowly so the trap wire wouldn't explode the key - this was because he used Stealth Eye. He smiled, and turned around with Stealth Eye still activated and for some reason could see through Hot Yummy's mask and hood, but not her face.

'So-so beautiful,' Harvard felt like he was looking at the most beautiful woman he ever witnessed, but then looked down at her cleavage and got disappointed. He couldn't see through her shirt liek he hoped. He also told himself anyman would do the same! Wouldn't one of his three sons on the way do the same? "Ugh anyways, now we just fight the boss right?!"

"Impossible! You-you found it on the first try! How is that possible?!" Feisty Lisa dropped on her knees and started bowing. "Great Leader! You are giving us a chance to see the light!"

"You coming! We got like 30 minutes to defeat 3 bosses, and get through three trap rooms. Get off your knees and come with me!"

"Why do I feel like he can see my face," Hot Yummy shivered and walked towards the boss room. "The man that sees my face will be forced to marry me. I really hope he doesn't have some special ability. My father will come here right away if he did."

###

[Tricky's Dungeon Boss Rom]

Harvard expected to fight a normal boss, but instead just saw a small statue floating in the center of a large round stage with four bridges.

The bridges were collapsing fast, so he sprinted across.

He tried to get his team to follow him in time before the bridge collapsed but they were too slow. In fact, it seemed almost impossible for anyone besides Harvard to get across the bridge in time! In fact, he wasn't supposed to at all! They were supposed to fight the boss from the entrance.

"How is he so fast?"

"No wonder there is a rumor going around he conceived with three sisters," Hot Yummy crossed her arms. "Ugh, Harvard, just destroy that statue before it awakens! You don't know how evil that thing is!"

Harvard scratched his head and looked at the small statue and brushed some dust off of it. How was this thing the boss? It was really just a statue that had joyful eyes and was sort of fat and cutely chubby. He tried to put in his inventory and sighed. 'Damn it, it's too cute! Do I really have to destroy it?'

This inner conundrum kept playing in Harvard's head before the statue's eyes started to glow and an evil laugh began to come out of it.

"Hahaha! In one minute, you shall all be doomed! My curse is about to activate, hahaha! Just stand there across the bridge and watch you foolish mortals!"

[Trick's Conqueror Statue]

[Turns into Trick the Conqueror's first form]

[Powering up: 56 seconds remaining until it's ultimate form is achieved! There is nothing you can do to stop it from a distance! Hahaha!]

[System information: Destroy the statue before the boss spawns, and you will complete the dungeon.]

"Huh, doesn't that seem too easy?" Harvard slashed through the statue before it broke to pieces. He wanted to smack himself in the face. It shouldn't be this easy!

[You have been blessed by Trick's Conqueror!]

[Agility - 5]

'I don't get why blessings do bad things while curses do good things. Wait, I'm a ghost! I get it now! A curse would actually help a ghost! Why didn't anyone explain this to me!'

Harvard sighed and watched a bridge reform on the other side of the dungeon.

"So, time for the second dungeon!"

"Kiss me!" Harvard smacked away Grinning Sword Master's hand and then they walked to the second dungeon, and made it in 5 minutes to the boss. Grinning Sword Master then jokingly tried to hug Harvard before he smacked his hand away before he even moved. "You're so fast!"

Yup, Harvard made it up to the second dungeon's boss in 5 minutes. He was bound to catch up to the other team.

"Oh crap, this one looks a lot harder," Harvard watched a painting on the ceiling slowly start to come to life. A large monster instantly came out of the painting and towered above them. "Let's go! Turn on the Boss Fight Music!"

###

"No word from Harvard!" Snow Lilly struggled to pick up her coffee with trembling hands. She thought she'd be tied up by her captor Great Styles, but her captor really just wanted someone to talk to because no one in his guild truly understood him. "That bastard! This is the third time you sent him a letter! Doesn't he care about his bro?"

"You're a girl? Why do you keep calling yourself his brother," Great Styles, the number one on the ranking board, tossed a sugar cube into Snow Lilly's coffee and then stirred it. He just went out and gave Lograms to some beggars in order had qualify his team as first for the Dungeon Competition. However, on the way back he killed the beggars and got his infamy up to 20,000. That was right when he went to the bar and captured Snow Lilly in order to once again raise his infamy.

In fact, it was possible to accept both black quests from gaining high infamy and normal quests if you bordered on 20,000 infamy. However, these type of men who wanted infamy were normally despicable. Great Styles kept talking, "You're a very pretty girl. Why would you hang around with that jerk?"

"It's because he's the only one that truly lets me spread my legs open and watch television at the same time."

Great Styles blushed and looked down at Snow Lilly's legs. He instantly turned beet red and tried to not stare. However, he couldn't do it.

"It's just a leg," Snow Lilly laughed and pulled up her dress kind of masculine like. "What? It got something on it."

"AHHHH! Damn it! Get me Hamlord soon or I'm going to go crazy!" Great Styles took a deep breath. "Damn it! Little Styles! Give him this fourth letter and make's sure he gets it! Otherwise, Snow Lilly's finger is being sent instead!"
