My name is Gentle Moon. It is a name I gave to myself some time ago.

I could still remember several months ago as if it was merely yesterday. At that time, I was merely a blessed creature happily living in ignorance among my family at the mountain.

My family consists of myself, my husband, and several children both of us have. Although life at the mountain is difficult, everyday is fulfilling.

Because most of our children will soon reach adulthood, we decided to bring them with us from our dwelling and taught them how to hunt the creatures in this mountain.

It is a decision I will come to regret for the rest of my life.

With both of us walking together at the front, passing through the familiar path we have passed almost half of our life. We soon found a target suitable as both of our children's prey.

Looking at the unaware boar in front, we pointed at it as our children fought together to hunt their prey. As they fought, we guarded them from behind in case something wrong happened.

Soon, that boar is killed and both of us just watched our children eating their prey while merely watching.

After walking around for some time looking for another suitable prey for our children to hunt, we decided to rest as we couldn't find any at all.

Both I and my husband decided to stand at the different end of our hunting group to protect our children in the middle.

As I sat while looking at the surroundings to check on any dangerous predators, I heard a booming sound I will always remember in my nightmares.

*BOOM*

Hearing that explosive noise, I turned my head toward its source. There, I could see my husband being smashed by a heavy block of spiky things.

Looking at the minced meat that was once my husband, I cried aloud in grief. My children, hearing the noise I made, stopped resting as they glared at my husband's killer.

There, an erect ape is standing while touching the weapon that killed my husband. As its hand touched that heavy spiky thing, it suddenly disappeared.

My children, thinking it is a suitable time to avenge their father, immediately rushed toward that erect ape. That is when my true nightmare came.

Upon seeing my children rushing at it. The erect ape continuously summoned that spiky thing as it squashed and killed my children one by one.

Looking at that bloody view, I instinctively ran away to escape.

Remembering the children I brought with me today, I screamed at the remaining one to disperse and run away.

But, instead of running away, I could see them trying their best to block that ape while giving me time to escape.

When I turn my head, I could see the bloody view of them trying their best to buy me enough time. That is also the time when I came to hate my weakness.

Just like that, I traveled alone on these cold unfeeling mountains. Sensing the hunger on my stomach, I searched for food until an extremely tempting aroma came into my nose.

Following that aroma, I could see a familiar fruit hanging from a tree hanging in the middle of ruined forests seemingly caused by the fight between powerful beasts.

Looking at that tree, I woke up as I remembered something and prepared to run away in fear.

This tree is a place both I and my husband once stumbled into while hunting. At that time, we could see a gigantic snake coiling around that tree as it guarded the fruit hanging there with all its might. Both of us saw that snake killed anything daring enough to come near its treasured fruit. At that time, the aroma coming from that fruit is not as tempting as it currently is.

Sensing as the snake is currently missing from the tree, combined with my empty stomach and the tempting aroma. Instinct took over me as I climbed the tree and ate the fruit hanging on it.

Once I finished eating it, I immediately felt extremely full and ran away in case that snake decided to return and saw the missing fruit. After several days passes, I feel a bit weird as something awakened inside me after eating that fruit.

Whether it is a curse or a blessing is unknown. But, at that time I gained something called sapience.

I gained increased intelligence.

I realized the concept of myself.

I finally truly realized the concept of grieving and losing my loved ones.

With that additional emotional burden, I traveled for an unknown amount of time. Without any direction nor any will to live.

Until one day, I found myself attacked by a bear at the same level as me. But in my current weakened state, I have no chance of fighting against it.

'Is this how it ends?'

Thinking like that, I closed my eyes as its massive paw struck toward me.

Not feeling any pain even after a while and hearing the sound of fighting nearby, I opened my eyes. There, the bear is fighting against a handsome male which soon defeats it easily.

As I looked at the lone male slowly approaching me, I could sense the same aura as me coming from him.

'We have both experienced similar things.'

It Is the first thought I could feel when looking at him. And so, I decided to follow him around after asking for his consent.

At first, he seems to be uncomfortable having me around. But slowly we are getting closer emotionally

One day, when I thought I had forgotten that terror filled day where I lost my family and finally found a new love.

He died.

With a blinding light, he who once stood next to me had a bloody hole on his head.

Looking at his sudden and mysterious death, I ran away once more like a coward.

Doing the escaping I am already getting familiar with, I am filled with sadness. This time I ran so much in a panic, I didn't even realize where I was going.

When I was running, I stumbled onto a branch and accidentally entered some hole. The wall on this hole is built using strong and smooth stone without my gap between them. Even after trying to climb with all my might, I couldn't reach halfway through the opening.

Leaving my life to fate, I just sat there in a daze while looking around. A day passed and I could no longer hold my hunger.

Glancing around the depth of this hole, I could only see a plant glowing with a vague silvery light. Without caring whether it is poisonous or not, I ate it before slowly falling asleep.

When I woke up, I didn't know how long it had been. But, I could feel the power flowing throughout me.

Looking at the opening far above me, I tried to jump with my full power and actually successfully escaped that hole.

When I escaped from the hole, I could see a massive forest fire happening around me. After shaking my head to wake me up from my daze, I ran away toward a random direction.

*BOOM*

Not long after I left that place, a massive explosive noise which evoked the nightmare I tried to forget sounded.

The flame and smoke surrounding me dispersed as I could see the figure of an ape floating above in the sky.

Fearing it might've detected me, I ran away even faster. Soon, I ran out of the range of that burning forest.

Hiding myself in a forest area with thick enough plants to hide me, I started looking around.

Nearby my location, there are many erect apes busying themself with cutting the trees around the burning area.

Powered with my increased intelligence due to that fruit and my increase in strength, I secretly started to learn how those monkeys spoke by hearing their conversation from far away.

Merely several days later, I could already speak just like them.

Continuing my journey without any destination, I met with another male. This one is weaker than me by a notch.

He asked me whether or not I wanted to join his group that wished to travel from this burning area and escape to a better place.

As I have no target in mind, I decided to accept his proposal and joined his group.

Walking with his group, we slowly walked further and further from the burning area.

While on our journey, he kept on talking with me and tried to take my attention. I must say his attempt is quite successful as slowly, we developed feelings toward each other.

One day, several children in his group went missing. Feeling his worries, I offered myself to look for them.

Tracing back the path our group took, I could soon see those little guys playing nearby a river without a care in the world.

Giving them a barrage of scolding, I followed the trace of our group with those little guys.

When I returned to his location with the children in his group, I could see him shredded into pieces as a blue tornado slashed at him.

Once again looking at the minced meat that is once my husband. Tears wells up in my eyes.

This time, I will not run away like a coward.

Chasing after the killer, I activated the power I gained from eating the unknown plant in that hole to help me keep an eye toward those two erect apes called humans.

The chase continued for several days until all of use reached an area nearby the sea. Looking as they entered the sea, I asked the others in my group to stay here as I will continue the chase alone.

Following them to enter the sea, I paddled at the top of my power to chase them. Midway, I could feel my speed getting slower and slower due to exhaustion.

That is when suddenly, a mysterious knowledge came into my mind. With that knowledge, I gained the ability to control the tide which seems to come from my activated bloodline after eating the mysterious plant and used it to quickly arrived at the island those two escaped into.

Arriving at the island, I could see the killer of my third husband talking with the killer of my first husband!

He is the one that killed my whole family and also the beggining of my nightmare!

Looking at both of them, I could feel myself losing control and just screamed

"HUMAN!! I REMEMBER YOU! "

With that, I chase after them in madness. Following them through many terrains, I arrived at a tunnel.

In my angry state, I continued my chase and forcefully entered that small tunnel they ran into until I arrived at a hollow opening at the end of that tunnel

Leaping toward those humans hiding behind a curtain of light, I feel myself turning dizzy soon after, before finally arriving at a forest.
