Chapter 173 Sigurd’s Strength
Cedrick and Sigurd weren't aggressive in the first minute of their fight. They threw punches and kicks to feel their opponent's strength.
"This Sigurd guy is not weak." Karl muttered with a frown. He noticed that Sigurd wasn't doing his best when he was attacking Cedrick. Although Cedrick was also conserving his strength, he felt that Sigurd was hiding his true strength.
"I feel that too, but Cedrick isn't weak either. We don't know what will happen if they give it their all." Conrad remarked.
The spectators cheered as they watched the match. From their perspective, both fighters were almost equal in terms of strength. Among them, only the elite soldiers noticed what was truly happening.
'It looks like this guy is also injected with the serum. There is no need for me to hold back.' Cedrick thought to himself as he increased the power behind his attacks. His punches and kicks became heavier. Loud smacking sounds even echoed every time he launched an attack.
Pa! Pa! Pa! Pa!
However, Sigurd was like an impregnable shield. He managed to block his attacks effortlessly. He didn't even show a reaction after receiving all those heavy blows.
The crowd cheered even more intensely when the fight reached a climax.
The noise in the training facility attracted the residents of Last City, making more people come to watch the situation.
Finally, after over five minutes of exchanging blows, Sigurd ended the fight after he knocked down Cedrick with a liver punch.
PA!!!
"Argh!" Cedrick groaned as he sat down in pain. He gritted his teeth while clutching a spot in his stomach. 'That hurts! It feels like a hammer was smashed into my liver!'
Everyone shivered when they saw Cedrick getting knocked down by that punch. They could tell how strong it was from the loud sound it produced.

"You're saying that Arlan is overseeing a match between his best fighters?" Lieutenant General Rivera revealed a look of interest as he followed Krizia to the training facility. He also heard a report from his men about this matter, but Krizia gave him more detailed information. He was near the facility when this started so they quickly arrived at the training facility. There were already a lot of people watching the show when they arrived.
"Cedrick lost?" Krizia was stunned when she saw Cedrick sitting on the ground while groaning in pain. This person was one of the best fighters under Arlan's command and only a few people were stronger than him.
"You know those people?" The commanding general asked, trying to get more information from her about Arlan's subordinates. He didn't have much information about Arlan's people and he was curious about their abilities.
Krizia understood his motive right away, but there was no need to hide this matter. Arlan wouldn't have told them to hold the challenges in the training facility if he planned to hide their strength. "The guy who lost is one of the boss's best commanders. His strength is even above those professional fighters in the UFC. He is also the best strategist in the organization after Miss Winter. As for the man who won, I don't have much information about him since the boss just introduced him to us today."
Lieutenant General Rivera was surprised by her words. There was actually a guy who was stronger than professional UFC fighters among Arlan's subordinates! "Aren't you exaggerating, Miss Krizia?" He chuckled jokingly.
Krizia shook her head. "Not at all, general. Look, there's another challenger. Let's move closer. You'll see if I'm exaggerating or not if you see them fight."
Krizia brought the commanding general to where Arlan was standing.
"General, you came just right in time. I want to see the progress of my subordinates' training so I sent someone to test them out." Arlan said with a smile.
"You mean that guy over there." Lieutenant General Rivera said while pointing at Sigurd.
"Yeah." Arlan nodded his head.
The second person who challenged Sigurd was Conrad.
Conrad's strength was close to that of Cedrick's, but he believed that he was more skilled than the latter.
Conrad was proficient in mixed martial arts. He had some background in Muay Thai and he was even a 7th-degree black belt in Taekwondo. He was also a skilled grappler. However, he didn't have a trace of confidence when he faced Sigurd. He only challenged Sigurd to sharpen his skills.
"That person is Conrad. Among the boss' subordinates, his combat skills alone is in the top 5." Krizia commented in a serious voice.
Arlan smiled when he heard this. He didn't stop her from giving this information to the commanding general. He already treated the general as one of his people so there was no need to hide things from him.
Lieutenant General Rivera didn't say anything. He just watched the fight silently with narrowed eyes.
At this moment, Conrad suddenly threw a spinning back kick. Everyone thought that Sigurd would be thrown away by the force of the kick, but to their surprise, Sigurd just lifted his arms to block it. He was only pushed back by two steps, but it didn't look like he sustained any damage.
PA!!!
After blocking the kick, Sigurd grabbed Conrad's leg and took the fight to the ground. He twisted Conrad's ankle and applied more force into his grip.
Conrad gritted his teeth and he was forced to tap out. "Man, you're good!" He exclaimed while looking at Sigurd.
Sigurd humbly smiled at his words.
The crowd clapped their hands after the shocking victory. Even those who were dissatisfied with Sigurd started to show him some respect.
"That person... where did you find him?" The commanding general suddenly asked.
"Huh? Do you mean Sigurd? He is from a Viking family in Denmark." Arlan randomly said.
"I see. No wonder he is that strong. So he is from a Viking family..." The commanding general didn't doubt his words.
Arlan lips curved upwards as he held himself back from laughing.
