Chapter 47: Two shamans fight
Chapter 47: Two shamans fight
Felix could see the tense air around the shamans, Catro and Landers were also pretty grim as they watched the black bear army, the generals of the lion tribe couldn't say anything as they kept their guard up against any attacks from the bear generals who wore armor made from Dark Hex Iron.
The lion shaman's body was shaking due to the poison and the bear shaman immediately attacked using his spear trying to take advantage of the moment the poison was going strong!
Felix looked on and knew that something was wrong, such a smart person like the lion shaman wouldn't have let himself be poisoned like that, right?
The lion shaman smiled as his aura started to strengthen suddenly, he grabbed the spear with his hand and the poison that was running along it started to burn as lightning engulfed it.
Lightning started to appear along the shaman's body as the lightning bolt scar that he got on his forehead started to glow with a deep yellow color.
Siracha Enoch, the lion shaman was a man with a lot of experience, even though he grabbed the spear and let the poison enter his system that was only because he wanted to let the bear shaman let his guard down so he could use this new technique of his!
Lightning Hex energy was running wild in the air as Siracha activated his technique, Felix could feel the power running through the air even though he was quite far away from the battlefield.
Lindo even muttered:
"Our shaman's technique is so strong!"
Felix looked up at Lindo, you stated quite the obvious.
The bear shaman got flustered as he saw Siracha using such an advanced technique, while he was capable of something similar his technique wasn't as strong nor as mastered as the lion shamans.
A lightning infused fist attack found itself towards the bear shamans solar plexus as he couldn't hold on to the spear anymore after that attack it clattered to the ground.
It was obvious how strong the punch was from the bear shaman's pained expression and the fact that he dropped his ancestral weapon to the ground without even trying to get near it anymore.
Siracha picked up the spear and looked at it up and down, suddenly he threw it at extreme speeds as it was infused with lightning skewering the bear shaman's shoulder while pushing him 10 meters backward!
While the shaman fight was going well it couldn't be said the same with the normal army.
While the generals were equal in destructive power the black bear generals had armor that helped them endure better so it became a fight of attrition.
Felix could feel that things weren't going well for the lion army, while on the surface it looked like a fight between equal powers if it wasn't for Landers who held on 5 captains on his own things would have been tricky, it couldn't be helped, the lion tribe was currently fighting on multiple fronts while also mostly having recruits because most of its fodder was used to the ancestral sacrifice.
Felix knew that he could be useful on the battlefield with his stealth abilities but he couldn't move anymore let's not even talk about fighting, he also didn't know many people here and even though he knew he could be useful here, he decided to sit still and wait for the shaman to finish his fight then interfere, he already did his best in this situation.
Siracha cracked his knuckles as he looked at the bear shaman's shaking form, the bear shaman cracked his shoulder back into place as he placed his hand on it, a dark green energy seeped into his wound healing it quickly.
The bear shaman cracked his neck as he took back the spear that was inserted in the ground behind him and took a stance as his aura intensified again, his eyes turned red as he glared at Siracha and said:
"It seems I will have to use 120% of my strength."
Siracha laughed as he shook his head and put up two fingers, this gesture puzzled the bear shaman and he couldn't help but ask:
"2 what?"
Siracha looked into the bear shaman's red eyes as he said:
"I was using only 20% of my strength."
The lightning current around him turned red as his aura intensified again:
"Now I'm using 30%, see if you can withstand this power."
The bear shaman blinked and then one of his arms was severed, the spear fell to the ground again and he shouted as he held his stump while falling to his knees due to the pain:
"AHHHHHHHH!"
Siracha shook his head as he looked down at the fallen bear shaman and pointed at his forehead:
"It seems you couldn't handle 30%, what a pity."
The bear shaman could feel his life flashing in front of his eyes as his soul left his body and his brain splattered on the earth behind him, his body exploded into a shower of gore afterward as the lightning from the attack entered inside and transformed it into a bomb.
Felix could feel a strange energy in the air that was calling to him, it was the soul of the bear shaman!
Felix looked around but he couldn't actually see it, but he could sense it, suddenly he felt a pain in his forehead as the lives in the corner of his vision jumped to 8 in number then reached 9 in one fell swoop!
His head started to hurt as he felt the voice of the bear shaman attacking his soul!
"Hmmm? This isn't the ancestor's place, the small cat took my soul?"
Suddenly Siracha appeared near Felix as he placed his hand on his forehead, he inserted a part of his soul into Felix's soul space annihilating the intelligence from the black bear shaman's soul but the impact from the small battle severed the connection between Felix's body and soul!
Felix's body had no pulse and it was getting cold fast, Lindo's eyes widened as he looked at the lion shaman and said:
"Wh... why?"
The lion shaman shook his head as he could feel life returning to Felix's cold body, his ability was rather handy...
Felix's stump regrew as his body reattached to his soul all of his injuries disappeared as his stamina returned to the peak and one of his new lives disappeared returning the headcount to 8.
Felix could feel that while the black bear shaman's soul was bereft of intelligence it was still not under his control, it was currently rampaging randomly inside his mind space and doing god knows what, but it seemed it didn't influence him nor did it hurt his soul.
Siracha smiled as he patted the awakened Felix which scared Lindo even further, he looked down in his arms to feel that Felix's body had heat again and his pulse returned!
He also saw that his severed paw was back!
"Was this the power of someone chosen by God?" Lindo Thought.
Felix got down from Lindo's arms as he nodded at the lion shaman and asked:
"What should I do now?"
The lion shaman caressed his chin as he thought a little bit about it before saying:
"The bear shaman's pure strength is way above yours, you could use it as a whetstone to grind up your soul and sharpen it while you fight it, when you don't have any more use for it absorb it into your soul, I'm not sure if you gained all of the benefits from absorbing a shaman entity yet but you should see it in the future."
Felix looked towards the battlefield as his eyes shined, if he fought there directly he might be able to get his lives back to 9.
He was getting used to the death feeling so he could endure it if it happened again, that meant some doors opened to his fighting style if he could kill his opponent while using one of his lives it would be worth it!
Felix's body disappeared as he started a rampage in the fodder's battlefield easily slashing through the necks and body of the weaker black bears, while the generals all had Dark Hex Iron armor that didn't mean everyone got it, the armor was hard to manufacture and it would take a lot of refined Iron to create the armor.
The stronger captains had one while all of the generals had it.
All 5 captains who were attacking Landers each had their armor on, that was the reason they were able to tie him down and make him unable to help the others or kill even one of them up till now.
Felix felt that he helped the fodder battlefield well enough as the blood dripped from his claws and seeped into the earth, he looked towards Landers's direction, he knew that one well-applied strike from the battle breathing technique could break through the armor.
Felix's body disappeared again as a thunderous sound could be heard coming towards Landers's direction. Landers could feel danger coming towards him but not towards his body, it was towards the enemy that was currently launching himself to his side!
The bear captain's eyes widened as he looked at his chest and saw a gaping hole appearing through his armor where his heart was supposed to be.
He fell to the ground and breathed his last the next second.
Felix didn't appear until he was a few hundreds of meters away from the battlefield as he breathed in and out roughly, while the shaman's soul didn't do anything for his body's strength, he could feel that he got an overall better control after his lives increased.
The shaman shook his head as he looked at the battlefield of the generals and said:
"I guess they lost already, we have to settle things down."
The moment the shaman entered the generals' battlefield everything was done for the black bears, they have lost!
