Chapter 61 Forging, Crafting, and Alchemy
Silphie's breath hitched, and a shiver coursed through her.
"Priestess!"
"Priestess! Are you okay? What have they done to you? Why do you look so weak?" Violet's voice quivered with concern.
Silphie turned to her kin, struggling to find her voice. With great difficulty, she managed to utter a single word. "S-s . . ."
Violet leaned closer, brow furrowing. "S . . . ?"
"S-starving . . ." Silphie gasped, collapsing into Violet's arms, her strength finally giving way.
Violet's eyes widened in shock. "Huh? Wait! Did they starve you?! Those bastards!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with indignation.
Before anyone could react, Von appeared beside them in a blur, twirling gracefully as he landed near Violet and Silphie. "My dear, sweet Silphie Priestess," he cooed with a wolfish grin, "here's some bread and milk. Eat to your heart's content."
Von hadn't even finished speaking when Silphie snatched the food from his hands, devouring it with the ferocity of a starved animal. She gulped down the milk, not caring for appearances, before turning her innocent eyes back to Von, blinking sweetly.
"Is there more?" she asked, her voice soft and sickly sweet.
Von blinked in surprise, then burst into laughter. "Of course, Priestess, here—"
Before he could even finish his sentence, Silphie grabbed his bag and rummaged through it, snatching up every bit of food she could find, munching noisily with zero concern for decorum.
"Ah, Priestess, you should really mind your manners," Violet said with a sigh, trying to maintain some semblance of order.
Von simply shrugged, still not sure how to react, as Cappy fluttered down to land on his shoulder. "Well, she is just a kid, after all."
While they clamor around Silphie, Horizon, Lydia, and Nyx were busy exploring the boss's treasure room. It was a treasure trove, filled with chests, glittering gems, and the remains of those who had fallen before them.
"Look, Horizon!" Lydia called excitedly, holding up a chest overflowing with gemstones. "There are so many precious stones here! Amber, amethyst, agate, bloodstone, pearls—you name it! This could easily fetch 50 to 100 gil per stone, maybe more."
Her eyes gleamed as she continued her inventory. "But that's not all. Look at these! Alexandrite, aquamarine, diamonds, emeralds, rubies—these are worth anywhere from 1,000 to 5,000 gil each!
"Oh my, it gets even better. There are exquisite stones here too. Celestiline, Eternite, Sacred Element—these beauties could go for 10 000 to 50 000 gil. We've hit the jackpot." Enjoy more content from empire
"Don't even think about pocketing anything, thief," Nyx warned with a sharp glare. "All of this belongs to me."
Lydia rolled her eyes. "Why you? Shouldn't this haul go to Horizon? He's the leader, after all."
Nyx smirked. "Same thing. I'm Horizon's master."
Horizon ignored their banter, more focused on the task at hand. His eyes scanned the room until they landed on a particular corpse dressed in an eye catching green robes. Judging by the satchel strapped to its side, it had likely belonged to a herbalist.
Without wasting another time, Horizon rummaged through the herbalist's belongings and pulled out an [Alchemy Tome]. His eyes lit up as he examined the contents.
"This guy was a master herbalist," Horizon murmured, flipping through the pages. "There's a wide variety of common to rare potion recipes here."
Nyx leaned over, curious. "Let me see . . ." She scrutinized the potions, her brow furrowing. "These aren't common in Drakha. It's possible they have different recipes here."
Horizon's mind raced at the possibilities. Over the past year, he had read every books and tomes in Nyx's lair, learning life skills that most players in Eternia couldn't even dream of acquiring. A smiled tugged at his lips as he thought of making his own potions and items.

He was still a Beginner in these craft, mainly because Nyx was notoriously stingy, refusing to let Horizon borrow her cauldrons and materials.
But that was about to change. Soon, he would have his own home and workshop, and he planned to have Druger set up a Forging, Crafting, and Alchemy studio for him.
"I think I like what's brewing in that head of yours, boy," Nyx said, eyeing Horizon with a grin.
Horizon's excitement was on his face. "I was just thinking—if the potions here aren't available in Drakha, and the potions in Drakha aren't available here, then I'm going to make Drakhan potions and sell them for a lot of gil!" Gold, more gold to fill his lair!
"Good thinking! It's likely the same goes for Drakhan equipment and items," Nyx added, a toothy grin creeping onto her face.
Horizon nodded, his mind racing with possibilities. Equipment in this world was categorized by tiers: Bronze, Iron, Silver, Gold, Epic, and the most coveted of them all—Legendary. Legendary Equipment was so rare that even lords and kings of the greatest kingdoms struggled to obtain it. In fact, there were probably fewer than ten known pieces in existence.
Legendary gear wasn't just hard to come by—it was harder to claim than ruling a kingdom. But for those lucky enough to acquire it, the rewards were beyond imagination. The attributes of Legendary Equipment were astronomical, capable of turning the tide of any battle.
A single warrior clad in Legendary Armor could hold their ground against hundreds of players in equal stats, effortlessly overpowering them with the sheer power of their gear. One piece could change the course of wars, shatter armies, and crown champions.
It was the stuff of legends, quite literally.
And Nyx had secured all of Drakha's Legendary recipes, and by extension, so had Horizon. The only problem? His Forging skill wasn't anywhere near the Grandmaster level required to craft such powerful items. Worse still, he didn't have access to the rare materials necessary for the job.
The ingredients to forge Legendary gear weren't just rare—they were nearly impossible to find. Each recipe called for an array of exotic components, many of which existed only in the most dangerous and inaccessible parts of the world.
