Chapter 415: It's You!
"It's you!" Annabelle exclaimed, surprise written all over her face.
Azmodeus lightly chuckled. "Yep, it's me, ol' stalker of mine," he said. "Now, what say we find some place to sit down, eat, and talk about a few things of interest."
"Things of interest…?"
"Yes. Now, if you know of a good joint to find some grub, then bring us there."
"There's the school cafeteria, but hey! You still never told me why you grabbed me like that—"
"Everything can be explained when we get to that cafeteria; I am absolutely famished right now, so eating takes priority," Azmodeus said as he gently grabbed Annabelle by the wrist and led her around campus.
"Hey! Stop that!"
As the odd pair traveled around the campus toward the cafeteria, they attracted the stares of many students. Moreover, they whispered and fabricated rumors among themselves, especially when they saw an unfamiliar, handsome man walking around with one of the campus belles, who just so happened to be 'claimed' by another. Specifically, it was the son of the Saberspire Empire's Emperor, who had supposedly had his eyes on her since they were kids.

"You're telling me that slut is strolling around campus with another guy?!" shouted a young, expensive-looking man as he cracked a table in half. "Tell me exactly who would be audacious enough to do such a thing while I'm here!"
A different young man frantically approached the young nobleman and smacked his face against the ground. "Of course, Young Master Issac!" He then went on to describe in great detail everything he knew about the man known as Amon. It could basically be summed up in one word…
"Poor!" Issac exclaimed with an evil grin. "This poor bastard from the middle of nowhere thought himself to be big sh*t, so he arrived in the capital just a few days ago. He then amassed some paltry wealth by selling goods that he likely stole. Moreover, it was through some miraculous methods that he managed to get into the academy without an ounce of credibility or background! Am I getting this right?!"
"O-Of course!" the groveling young man fervently agreed. "You're always right, Young Master! There's not a time when your unparalleled mind doesn't come through in the end—"
"Okay, okay, that's enough," Issac waved his hand dismissively. Still, his mood had definitely improved compared to before. After all, anyone who managed to get into Eternal Jade Academy was usually someone from a powerful background. If this mysterious red-haired man had a stronger background than him, he would have had no choice but to back off. However, now that he had learned Amon was just a dirty pauper, things changed. "I will torture this man who doesn't know his place!" he declared boisterously. "Bring him to me right away! I have graciously decided to personally teach this idiot the ways of the world!"
Hurriedly rising to his feet, the young man said, "I will do just that, Young Master! My gang and I will rough him up a bit in front of Young Lady Annabelle, then we will deliver him to you!"
Issac's malicious grin widened. "Very good," he nodded. "Go ahead, then! Give me that little sh*t!"
BAM!
The young man didn't need to be told twice. He was already halfway out the door by the time Issac finished waving his hand in a domineering manner. Left alone inside his opulent dorm room, Issac's mind stirred with evil thoughts as he tossed around ideas, all revolving around just how he would punish the one who dared to hang around his woman.
Meanwhile, in the public cafeteria, surrounded by hundreds of conversing students, Azmodeus sat on a bench with a circular table in front of him. Yet, instead of his lunch companion being on the opposite side of the table, she was right next to him. Moreover, she was munching down on a steak sandwich like no one was even there.
Discomfited, Azmodeus asked, "Isn't that like your fourth sandwich?" to which Annabelle responded, "So what!" with her mouth still full, not caring about any sort of table manners. Azmodeus looked down at his modest chicken salad, then over to her stuffing down a large sandwich in a single bite. "Are you sure that you're a princess of the Mountainrider Empire?"
"Mhm! Mhm!" Annabelle didn't even bother chewing before speaking as her brows furrowed and a pout appeared on her stuffed cheeks. To Azmodeus, it seemed like she was saying, "What's that supposed to mean?!" though it was hard to tell with just munches and crunches. Exasperated, he gave up on the matter and let her do whatever she wanted. She's a growing woman anyway; she can do as she wishes, he thought as he watched her scarf down another sandwich. Yes, definitely a growing woman, alright…
While taking occasional glances at her eating, he saw her ample chest sway all around, with even her uniform struggling to contain it. Maybe that's where all the food is going— before even finishing that thought, he saw the stuffed chipmunk send him a dangerous glare, which might as well have been a death threat. A bead of sweat formed on Azmodeus's forehead as he looked away awkwardly.
When Annabelle finally finished eating and seemed to have resolved whatever was irking her, Azmodeus brought up the main matter of importance. "What say we become acquaintances, Miss Annabelle?"
"Hmm?" Annabelle looked up at him but accidentally saw his true appearance, which caused her to blush a little. She forced herself to look away and regain her bearings, then swiveled her face back to his. "What does that even mean? Why don't you just ask if we could become friends—"
"You wish to be friends?"
"That is not what I meant—"
"Fine, if you insist so, then I will be your friend," Azmodeus said with a warm smile, momentarily blinding her and leaving her speechless. Yet, as if to take advantage of the moment, he said, "Say, as friends, don't you think we should work on things together? Like, say, the upcoming Academy Duo Tournament?"
