Chapter 19: You What!?

Chapter 19: You What!?

"Hmmm, that is very strange," Captain Aleia said with furrowed eyebrows as Hael turned to look at her.

"The only place that is so backwater would be Sector Z.

But sector Z is not snowy. It is actually a flaming hot desert, and that is why it is so backwater. It is not fit for human life. A place that is snowy and also primordial. I've never heard of it.

Probably one backwater place in one of the sectors. Or even in the Eldritch territory..." Captain Aleia mused to herself before turning to look at Hael.

"You should be able to find it, if you grow up the rankings enough to have access to the sectors' information. And that is the Major rank.

Only then will you be able to find your way back home. Guess you won't be eating grandma's porridge for a while..." Captain Aleia said, booing at him as Hael kept his deadpan expression.

"So Captain Aleia..." Hael called out.

"Uh-huh?"

"Um, can you drop me off now? I can see you're a very responsible and busy crew captain. I don't want to add to one of your headaches by disturbing you with my own matter.

So I think it'll be the best option for both you and me, to kindly drop me off here, and I should find my way back home. Don't you think..." Hael said with the biggest smile he could fake as he watched Captain Aleia, who was currently fiddling with a strange rectangular device.

Suddenly, she pointed it towards his face, and a bright flash of light illuminated Hael's eyes, causing him to snap them closed.

"What is that?" Hael asked, rubbing his eyes which stung a little.

"And...Done!" Captain Aleia said as she threw the rectangular device back into an opening in the front seat.

"Um, what is done?" Hael asked, feeling a strange feeling of danger suddenly assaulting him.

"I just accepted you as my personal intern..." "

YOU WHAT!?" Hael asked with shock as Captain Aleia turned to look at him with a sinister smirk.

"I just accepted you as an intern. Even though some, mostly awakeners around my level, would prefer to call it, houseboy!" Captain Aleia said as Hael stood rigid in his seat.

"But why!? I never asked you to. How can you do that? Without my permission..."

"Dummy, I am a 2nd core awakener expert who is also a captain rank in the revered Orcano military group. To accept an intern, who is an ordinary mortal, all I need is to fill a form, which I already did, and also submit the picture of whoever I choose, smiling.

And you just smiled when I took that picture, smiled so brightly even. And like that, my request was immediately accepted.

It actually used to take around 48 hrs or even more, but guess you're so lucky..." Captain Aleia narrated on as Hael slammed his back on the seat in exhaustion and simply stared blankly at the top.

"Just what do I do to deserve this, revered moon petal.." Hael asked as he sat there blankly.

"Dummy, not many people get lost and find such very high ranking person to take them in. Being an intern means a roof over your head, food in your belly, and um, very good training to make you at least quarter as successful as I am.

You're actually in luck for a person in your situation. Most who move from sector to sector end up becoming beggars and thieves and end up in prison. Your case is an exception..."

"I just have a single question..." Hael said opening his eyes as he looked at her scrutinizingly.

"Ask away, Kiddo..."

"How many people have asked to be your intern before and how many have you accepted?" Hael asked as Aleia sorted.

"Countless have asked, but I have accepted none. Why would I bother? It'll be a waste of my time, and I kinda prefer to live alone in my small house than have some trash come disturb my peace..." Captain Aleia said with a smile as Hael's eyes furrowed even more.

"So, why did you suddenly accept me then? Considering the fact that I don't even want to be your intern. It's like you're forcefully kidnapping me, something very unusual of yourself, according to what you say.."

"Hmm, why did I accept you? That's a really good question with a very simple answer. You try to run away from me, with every small chance that you get. And that triggers my competitive spirit to make sure you're mine, forever!!!" Captain Aleia said as Hael looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"And also due to the fact that we're so similar..." She completed as Hael smirked. "Similar? There's not a single thing similar about us..." Hael shot back at her. How was he in any way similar with this...monster. Who is definitely unstable and in need of a healer to cure her strange dual personality..."

And then Captain Aleia turned to look at him, specifically his face before smiling brilliantly.

"The color of your hair, and eyes. They are a natural blue, just like mine..." She said as Hael looked at her in confusion.

"Don't tell me I'm the only guy with blue hair among the desperate interns that came to ask you to accept them..."

"Actually, no. Some idiots among them even specifically dyed their hair blue just so I can find them more pleasing to the eyes, but all I see is a group of clowns...." Captain Aleia said as she suddenly swerved to the side, causing Hael to fall back on the seat, as she entered the large beautifully designed astral blue gates before stopping and exiting the car.

KNOCK

KNOCK

KNOCK

BANG

The sound of knocking could be heard as Aleia turned back and saw Hael scratching hard against the door's glass door, and slamming his shoulder on the glass door.

"Seriously you can't open a car's door?" Captain Aleia said as she walked forward and opened up the car, and Hael walked out of it, turning to look at the gate which was automatically closing by itself..

"Don't even think of escaping. The law officials would only return you back to me if you were caught wandering around..."

"Tch, who is thinking of escaping. I'll face this head-on like a man..."

"Hmm, and is that your Orcano Military organization?" Hael asked looking up at the gigantic mini-skyscraper..

"No, this is my house..."

"WHAT!?"
