Chapter 112 - Preparation
When he was searching for zombies around the Village of Kawayan, Nile managed to find a gas station.
He returned to that part of the village and took some gasoline that was stored inside the gallons.
Nile took a few gallons and let Maximo and Croco carry some. After Croco evolved to the middle stage, the spikes on his back could now be folded just like the blades on his arm.
Nile was planning to use gasoline as a way to create a massive explosion and fire on the zombie pets' path.
Along with his two pets, Nile brought the gallons full of gasoline outside the village. He searches for an ideal spot a thousand meters away from the village to hide the gasoline.
If there's none, Nile would dig some soil to plant the gasoline under it. He doesn't want the gallons of gasoline to get trampled by the hysterical animals and fierce zombie pets, after all.
Nile returned to the village and took another batch of gasoline before putting them again a thousand meters away from the village.
After placing them to their desired spot, he puts a sign in each and every one of them so that he could spot them even at the distance. In total, he planted 9 gallons full of gasoline to the ground. He made sure that they were planted in an open area so that it would be guaranteed that there are zombie pets that would travel there.
He doesn't know if the zombie pets count had risen or fallen from the past few days since he last saw them. All he knew is that they would soon become his Apocalypse Points and Stats Points.
The Nile then returned to the village with his two pets. He found a towering tree that is suited to be a sniping location, immediately, he chose that tree to be his sniping spot.
Before he climbs the tree, Nile browses through the System Store and goes on a shopping spree.
He still had a total of 220 Apocalypse Points at the moment and he was planning to spend them all to support his killing spree later.
He bought the Auto Collect Talent that cost 10 Apocalypse Points. The Auto Collect Talent was a talent that all of the System weapons automatically possessed.
However, unlike the auto collect function that only works with the weapons obtained from the System Store, the Auto Collect Talent allows Nile to still collect the dead Apocalypse Virus automatically even without using a System Weapon.
The reason he bought this talent was simple, it was for the explosions of Gasoline later. The gasoline was not an item that came from the System, so the Apocalypse Virus killed by it would not be automatically collected. However, with the Auto Collect Talent that he had just bought, Nile would no longer have to worry about it.
He also changed his clothes to the peak level of clothes. He bought a black hoodie, black underwear, and black pants. The clothes cost Nile 60 Apocalypse Points in total.
During this event, the Mission that the System issued as a reward of a whopping x2 of his earnings.
During the previous emergency mission, Nile had earned a total of 400-500 Apocalypse Points, and that was still the first wave of the zombie pets horde. Meaning, if he could still earn that much this time, then after the mission's completion, his Apocalypse Points would automatically multiply into two, making it 800-1000 Apocalypse Points.
That's just his estimate and it might go more than that. So he doesn't have the problem with spending all his Apocalypse Points now.
The Nile also bought two clothes for Maximo and Croco. Although he said clothes, it was actually just a thin Level One° armor that covered their body. However, just like Nile's clothes, these armors were also peak Level One° clothes. Meaning, if there's no Level Two°, they could be considered safe.
The two animal's clothes cost 25 Apocalypse Points each. So far, Nile had already spent 10 A.P for talent, 60 for his clothes, and 50 for the two animal's clothes.
Nile browsed and searched for some items that he could use. He purchased 5 boxes of normal Exploding bullets and 2 boxes of Advance Exploding bullets. That cost him a total of 80 Apocalypse Points.
Nile still wanted to search for more but he could no longer think of anything he should do. He still has 20 Apocalypse Points left.
Using the remaining 20 Apocalypse Points, Nile bought three sets of food, one for him, one for Maximo, and one for Croco. It was already 3 pm, and he thought that it's already time to have a satisfying snack.
Nile then climbs atop the towering tree. Maximo and Croco were left under the tree, they were always ready, waiting for Nile's instruction.
Nile looked towards the direction of the previous village and observed its surroundings intently.
After a while, Nile saw the rising dust covering the field that they had trampled on.
The frantic animals and fierce zombie pets were getting closer every second. As they got closer, the three he was currently on were shaking a little due to the tremor produced by the horde at the distance.
Nile observed around and spotted the women he met yesterday. They are now at the huge tree and it seems that they have chosen to hide as they opened the cover of the bunker before going inside.
Nile nodded his head and felt satisfied that they had listened to his advice. He didn't see their move as cowardice as he knew their strength well. Maybe that Warya could cope up, but without a decent weapon, she would also get devoured by the zombie pets easily.
In the other part of the village, the people were confused by the continuous light tremor of the earth. They didn't know why they were feeling uneasy but it definitely doesn't feel good. Unconsciously, the evolvers had now held their weapons one by one tightly, while the non-evolvers worried about them.
Nile didn't tell them about the incoming zombie horde as he felt that he doesn't have the obligation to. They would be able to survive if they are strong, and they would perish if they are weak.
Such is the truth of this world.
Nile retracted his gaze and focused again at the zombie pets horde in the distance. He retrieved the Sniping Slingshot, as well as one box worth of ammunition from the System Storage Space.
The ammunition he took was only a normal exploding bullet.
Nile felt that the best things are best served last. He felt that way towards the advance explosion bullet. The explosion they caused previously was beautiful, Nile must admit it.
Even more so that in every explosion, there comes a wave of Apocalypse Points running his way.
Nile held the Sniping Slingshots handle on his right hand tightly. He then attached the box of exploding bullets on his right wrist, for easy and fast bullet loading.
The first wave of animals chased by zombie pets had finally come into Nile's view.
He took out one exploding bullet from the box and loaded it in the slingshot's pocket. Slowly, he pulled the rubber along with the bullet to charge the slingshot's firing speed and strength.
Nile's target was the gallons of gasoline he just semi-buried earlier. After making sure that he would hit the gallon, Nile excitedly released his grip on the Sniping Slingshot's pocket.
