Chapter 460: Chapter 460 - Elite Vengeful Harpy
Chapter 460: - Elite Vengeful Harpy
[You have killed SpeedGang Lv. 219]
[You have obtained Elite - Vengeful Harpy Monster Soul Stone Lv. 215]
"Polly, do you think you could grow wings if I gave you this Monster Soul?" he asked.
Polly looked puzzled, shaking her head slowly. "Master, I'm not sure about that... But... we could try it."
Broken's gaze shifted to the carriages of the Horde of Hell guild. "So, it seems SpeedGang lost something precious here-a Monster Soul Stone of an Elite-grade monster, level 215! This is no ordinary item."
And it wasn't just the Monster Soul Stone. SpeedGang's heavy armor had also sustained significant damage, not to mention his sword. It was clear that SpeedGang hadn't properly maintained his equipment before facing Broken-leading to the complete destruction of his weapon during the fight.
This outcome was also a testament to the sheer effectiveness of the Durability Drainer skill from Gravestone Greatsword, which had truly proven devastating this time around.
SpeedGang had lost a lot in this battle. On top of that, he was now forced back to the Temple of Resurrection, inevitably delaying the progress of his guild. They'd have to either wait for him or somehow regroup, setting their journey back even further.
Broken stood there, waiting for a response from those still inside the carriages. He was certain they hadn't yet realized that SpeedGang had dropped the Monster Soul Stone.
What would they do now? Would they lose their tempers entirely, seeing their Divine Champion defeated so thoroughly by Broken?
The carriage doors of the Horde of Hell began to open, one after another, and soon the passengers descended. Dozens of players emerged, each fully armored and ready, weapons already in their hands.
From the largest carriage at the front, a boy in a black mage robe and a girl with the appearance of a demon stepped out. They were Galactron and Akiko-They were also the Champions of Gluttony.
"That idiot SpeedGang, how could he lose?!" Akiko shouted, her voice filled with frustration. "He was so careless! I'm sure he underestimated his opponent! He even lost his sword-this is really pissing me off!"
Galactron walked slowly, Akiko by his side, with dozens of Horde of Hell members trailing behind them.
Akiko clenched her fists, her voice rising in anger. "SpeedGang should've just stuck to shielding, that stupid fool! But no, he had to master offensive skills too, always biting off more than he could chew because he can't stand anyone who ticks him off. That idiot!"
She turned to Galactron, her frustration boiling over. "Galactron... now tell me, what are we going to do? War? Just give me a straight order, don't mess with your cryptic talk! War or not? I'm sick of warning you-you're no different from SpeedGang. The only difference is that he's an idiot, and you're the opposite. But both of you do whatever the hell you want! Ugh, I'm losing it!" she screamed.
The other members of the Horde of Hell shouted.
"We should burn this town to the ground and kill everyone in it!"
"We must avenge SpeedGang!"
"Yeah, we are the Horde of Hell for a reason-we don't know the word mercy!"
"Kill them all! Tear down every building, turn every corner of this place into ashes!"
"Death, chaos, destruction-that's what they wanted, and that's exactly what they'll get!"
"Everything burns today, no exceptions!"
Broken stood still, his gaze fixed on the crowd advancing towards him. Maylock had once told him about their Guild Master-a remarkable individual, not only wielding an exceptionally powerful class and skills but also possessing a keen mind for battle strategy.
But if it really came down to war, Broken had plenty of plans in place to handle them. And he was ready to use every last one. At the very least, he could take down the guild members swiftly, saving the stronger ones for a more challenging fight afterward.
From what he could tell about their Guild Master's class-a Necromancer-this would likely turn into a clash of summons, a battle to see whose creatures were more formidable. Would it be their necromancer's minions, or Broken's own?
He continued to watch as the Horde of Hell advanced, their Guild Master leading at the front. It was obvious they were all enraged; he could see it in their eyes, the fury they were ready to unleash upon the city.
But no-Broken would not let a single one of them lay a finger on Slumdon Town.
He was prepared to summon Blackthorn if necessary. This was going to be a colossal battle, and he didn't flinch at the thought of it. Even if it meant facing all of them alone, Broken was unafraid. He was ready to defend Slumdon, no matter what.
Broken noticed someone emerging from the direction of the city gate. A faint smile crossed his lips as the blonde woman ran toward him, coming to a stop at his left side.
"Hi, I'm allowed to join you in this battle now, right?" Ivana said.
"Hi, yes, Ivana. I could definitely use you against opponents like these. Are you ready?"
"That's not even a question I need to answer," she replied. "You should already know the answer to that. I've never backed down from this kind of invitation."
"Thanks, Ivana."
They exchanged a brief look, smiling and nodding at each other before turning back to face their enemies. Side by side.
The sky rumbled, thunder echoing through the air. Suddenly, a mage with flowing blue hair descended gracefully from above. She landed elegantly to Broken's right, smiling softly.
"I'm here for you, too, Broken," Elincia said.
In the distance, an archer came sprinting toward them. As he drew near, he adjusted his sunglasses before speaking.
"Broken, I know I said we wouldn't start a war, but when it comes to our friends, none of that matters. We care about you more than anything else, so we're here for you," Maylock said.
Gradually, more allies began to gather-Jovina, Toberry, Freya, and Charmelyn, who
materialized as if from nowhere.
Livelywood arrived soon after, brandishing his sword with a confident smile. "Broken, you know I'm always up for a good fight! Count me in!"
A massive black bear thundered toward them, letting out a deafening roar before pounding its massive paws on the ground, positioning itself at the back.
A girl appeared above, gliding through the air and leaping from one transparent platform to another before dropping down near Broken. She crossed her arms.
"I'm only here because everyone else is. Not because of you, you stupid jerk, Broken!" Melliandra shouted.
"Wait... wait for me, I want to join too..." From a distance, an old man in mage robes could be seen running toward them. "I want to join too..." He managed to make it to the front of the line, but suddenly he tripped, stumbling to the ground. He coughed, "Oh, this old man is too old for battles like these."
"Stupid old fool, you should be lying on your deathbed instead!" Jovina called out loudly.
"Khi khi khi..." Goldrich stood next to Broken. "My apologies, I got a bit too eager. But don't worry-I'm still useful."
Both sides now stood poised, fully prepared for what was about to be an enormous battle. It was clear that the fight ahead would be nothing short of monumental, with neither siden/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
willing to back down.
