Chapter 467: Chapter 467 - Understand Your Opponent!
Chapter 467: - Understand Your Opponent!
Goldrich was using his magic staff like a walking stick to help himself rise.
"Eugh, uhuk uhuk... This job is too much for an old man like me. Why are you young folks so busy causing trouble? You should be focusing on building something, or working hard so you don't end up as poor fools like you are now. Khi khi khi."
"Old geezer, stop running your mouth. We're going to take you down quickly this time!" they shouted back.
"Look at this old fossil-shouldn't he be busy preparing his will instead of wasting time playing games?"
"Yeah, he's probably just doing this because, in real life, he's a pathetic and lonely old man." Goldrich clapped his hands, smiling at their taunts.
"Good... good... You're quite skilled at running your mouth. I can appreciate that talent of yours," Goldrich said. "But now, you'll have to prove whether you have the skills to back up that arrogance."
"Shut up! You made the mistake of picking us as your opponents!"
"We know exactly how to defeat a mage! You'll be powerless before us," they responded confidently.
"Well then, let's see if your bark matches your bite." Goldrich responded.
However, the attackers began murmuring among themselves, clearly unsettled by the news of their friends' defeat circulating through their group chats.
"We heard that several other teams were defeated by members of the Ass Guild."
"Stay focused! Don't let that distract us!" another snapped.
"Yeah, and you will all die just as foolishly after this," Goldrich retorted.
The leader of the group spoke up, "Those teams were weaklings-nothing compared to us." "Let's just get rid of this old fool."
Goldrich smiled, clearly amused by their responses. "I really do admire your enthusiasm," he said calmly. "But are you aware that I am the mage with the largest number of spells in Immortal Legacy? And I'm very proud of that. You may think I'm just a useless old man, but let me tell you-my wealth is so vast that I could even buy your mothers and make them slaves in my palace."
"What?!"
Everyone stood in stunned silence at Goldrich's words, their expressions a mix of disbelief and outrage. The automatic broadcast censor immediately bleeped out parts of Goldrich's statement, leaving viewers confused.
"Why so much censorship?!"
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to everyone watching the attack, there was one person secretly overseeing everything, coordinating and allocating forces to counter the invasion. Maylock sat in a carriage with Toberry, Starfall, and Livelywood, typing on his chat screen and monitoring multiple floating screens in front of him.
[Maylock: "Elincia, stop wasting time. Just kill them already."]
[Elincia: "What now? You told me I could have fun and take my time torturing them. And now you want me to finish them quickly?"]n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
[Maylock: "Yes, you need to move quickly and head to Mira's position. Make sure they're all okay."]
[Elincia: "If you're so sure that you matched them with enemies they can handle, why are you still worried?"]
[Maylock: "Yes, I know, but I'm still too worried. Just make sure that none of them die, okay?"]
[Melliandra: "Maylock, you asshole, just tell me if I can kill them already."]
[Maylock: "Yes, Melliandra, take out the support in the party Elowen is fighting."]
[Melliandra: "Such a waste of time. Let me kill all of them, and we can end this now."]
[Maylock: "No! Let Elowen and the others grow from this battle. Let them fight and resolve this on their own."]
Starfall glanced at Maylock, who was busy typing. "See, it seems like he thinks of those knights as his own children."
Maylock turned to Starfall with a serious expression. "I can't afford to make any mistakes in this mission. Or my reputation will be tarnished in Broken's eyes."
"You really are a first-class brown-noser, aren't you?" Starfall giggled.
"No, it's simply to prove that I can still manage the forces even from a distance."
Livelywood then spoke up. "But, Maylock, are you sure we don't need to inform Broken about any of this?"
Maylock shook his head confidently. "This is a small matter; it's my responsibility to handle it. If we have to bother Broken with something as trivial as this, then I have failed in training the knights properly, hahaha."

Kingsley stood calmly, watching as the players around him prepared their formation. There were over twenty people in their group, each readying for a coordinated assault. "Forgive me," Kingsley began, "but I believe this will be costly for you if you die here. What you're doing is wrong. You shouldn't provoke people who have done nothing to harm you." "Shut up, Kingsley! Enough with the preaching. Do you think we need your advice?" one of them snapped.
"This stupid tanker is scared-that's why he's trying to talk us out of this."
"Let's kill him quickly! He's just a tanker who can only defend. Surround him, corner him, and finish him off with ease," another called out.
Kingsley shook his head slowly. "I'm used to fighting alone at the frontline. I'm not just a tanker-I also deal significant damage, and I'm quite versatile in battle."
His form began to expand, transforming into a massive bear, nearly twice the size of his normal self. His muscles bulged as he let out a deep growl that reverberated through the area.
"Control him! Control him now!" they shouted frantically.
The mages quickly cast their spells, sending a barrage of ice and magic attacks toward Kingsley, hoping to immobilize him. Shards of ice rained down, and magic arrays crackled in the air as they targeted the massive beast from every direction.
Kingsley roared fiercely. The control spells that had latched onto him shattered under his sheer force. With another roar, Kingsley swung one of his massive paws, slamming it into the ground and sending a shockwave that knocked several attackers off their feet.
"Attack him from a distance, reduce his health quickly!" one of the players yelled.
Kingsley surged forward with surprising speed for his massive form, closing the gap between him and the group in an instant. He swung his enormous claws, smashing one of the players and sending them flying across the battlefield. The player crashed to the ground, disintegrating into pixels on impact.
With a deafening roar, Kingsley continued his assault, his massive claws swinging at the attackers, each strike shattering their formations.
"Control him! Control him now!"
Massive ice shards fell from the sky, trying to freeze Kingsley in place. He roared again, and, in a blink, his large bear form shifted, shrinking into a sleek black panther. Now, in this form, he moved with incredible agility, darting between attacks and lunging at his opponents with
even greater speed.
Kingsley pounced on one player, tearing into them with his razor-sharp claws until their body fragmented into pixels. Before the others could react, he leaped again, transforming mid-air. His body expanded once more, and when he landed, he was back in his bear form, slamming his massive claws down with enough force to kill two players instantly.
"Control him! Stun him! Stun him!"
"Debuff him, debuff him!"
"Can't-he can't be controlled!"
Those watching the battle online were left stunned, jaws dropping at what they were
witnessing.
"How?! How is he doing this?!"
"Is his class really that powerful? Isn't it supposed to be just an Elite-grade class?"
"Yes, Elite-Beastmaster Transmogrifier. I remember the name of his class clearly, and
there's been a lot of talk about it."
"Then how is he this strong?"
"No one knows."
On the other side, where Goldrich stood, he held his magic staff upright, spinning it with a
confident smile. He began murmuring under his breath.
"Enhance speed, enhance focus, boost critical hit rate, amplify aura, boost magical resilience,
boost elemental damage, enhance endurance, increase spell casting speed, enhance stamina
recovery..."
The players watching were filled with confusion and panic.
"What is that? What is he doing?!"
"Attack-attack now!" they shouted frantically.
The group immediately charged toward Goldrich, swords raised, aiming to strike him down
before he could complete whatever he was planning.
Goldrich responded with a faint smile. "You all rush in too hastily, without understanding
your opponent first. That is a grave mistake."
As a sword came swinging towards him, Goldrich stepped easily to the side, evading the attack with minimal effort.
"Poor control. Have you never studied sword mastery?" he said as he tripped the attacker, sending him sprawling to the ground.
"Now, let me show you where each of your weaknesses lies," Goldrich said with a smile.

(Author's Note:)
Goldrich's lecture time! Who knew this old man had more than just a big mouth? Did you
catch how he casually said he could buy their moms? I mean, that's some next-level insult. The magic buffs were stacking, and his tongue was sharper than their swords.
And Kingsley—turning from a massive bear to a panther and back again—who knew tanking could look this graceful and terrifying?
