Chapter 481: Chapter 481 - The progress was very significant
Chapter 481: - The progress was very significant
Broken bent down to collect some of the scattered items-mostly weapons, armor, and various materials. Since the monsters they had faced were all quite high level, averaging above 200, the loot left behind held considerable value.
Given how full his inventory space already was, Broken had filtered the items to only automatically collect Monster Cores and Monster Soul Stones. Even so, he had managed to acquire five Monster Soul Stones during that huge battle-an impressive haul by any standard.
However, he also knew that Pawpaw had eaten a few of the Monster Soul Stones he'd managed to gather. That little kitten seemed determined to devour everything it came across!
As he worked, Starfall approached him, and he turned to face her.
"I see you need an inventory expansion. Even for a player at level 200 and above, the inventory space you have now isn't enough for all of these items?" she remarked, a slight smile playing on her lips.
Broken was aware that his current inventory, which was designed for players below level 150, was far too limited to hold everything they had collected.
"I can't even imagine what's in your inventory!" Starfall said with a giggle. "Could it be that you've got a full set of equally legendary equipment in there?"
Broken sighed heavily, shaking his head. "Unfortunately, no. My inventory is mostly full of iron ore and monster materials," he admitted.
He paused, considering his situation. By this point, someone at Starfall's level-200 or higher - should have an inventory with at least four cubic meters of space.
Starfall smiled and offered, "Do you need help storing all that loot? I've got some empty space in my inventory, so I'd be happy to help if you need it."
Broken nodded slowly. "That's very kind of you-I really appreciate the offer. But I think we should prioritize the important items with high value."
"Of course, I agree," she said. "I can help you sell some of the items later if you need." "Are you sure?"
Starfall smiled and nodded. "Yes, no worries. It's just a small thing."
After some time, all the items they had gathered were collected in front of Broken, neatly stacked. He looked at the pile and smiled.
"I think Polly will be quite pleased with our large stock of food," he said softly.
Starfall said. "It seems that Maylock was right."
"Yes?" Broken responded, turning his attention to her.
"You have extraordinary luck. How did you get so much loot? The monsters we fought were numerous, sure, but this amount is two or three times what a player would normally get. It seems like the Gods truly favor you," she giggled.
"I guess so..." Broken answered slowly. "But I think the sheer number of monsters was massive, so maybe this much loot is still within reason."
In addition to the items, Broken had also obtained several skill scrolls, and he was quite pleased with that. He examined a few of them and realized that the skills contained within were a bit subpar compared to his Super Novice skills. Still, he figured these scrolls would be much more useful for the Knights. They deserved every edge they could get, and passing on these scrolls to them felt like the right choice.
"Everyone..." Broken called out to his knights, gaining their full attention. "If any of you need items from these loots, feel free to take them for yourselves. I'm sure you'll be able to make good use of them soon, so choose whatever suits you best."
"My Lord, are you sure?" Anna asked, her voice full of enthusiasm.
"Yes, absolutely," Broken replied. "Karl, Yann, please also pick out what's suitable for you. Prioritize the level 200 items so you can use them once you're ready. I also have some equipment from my expedition to Hell, and we can sort through those later to find what fits everyone."
"Yes, My Lord," they all responded eagerly, immediately getting to work sorting through the loot once more.
After a while, Anna, Karl, and Yann had each chosen the equipment and weapons they needed. Ivana, however, hadn't picked anything, as the items from the monster drop were inferior to what she was already using.
"Mr. Fokil sure gave you the best things he had, huh?" Broken remarked.
Ivana nodded slowly, smiling. "It seems I should show more gratitude toward Mr. Fokil."
"Yes, you definitely should pay him a visit after this expedition."
Broken then proceeded to check the updated stats of the Knights and Ivana.
[Name: Karl]
[Level: 189]
[Health: 3,900 | Mana: 3,144]
[Strength: 819 | Agility: 254 | Intelligence: 262 | Constitution: 390 | Stamina: 473]
Broken swallowed hard as he reviewed Karl's updated stats. How many levels had they gained? From what he remembered, Karl had still been in the 170s before they set out. Had they really gained over ten levels?
"Damn," Broken muttered to himself. "Karl, your strength stat is really impressive now. I'm sure it's thanks to the Giant's Strength talent I gave you."
Karl responded with a polite nod, "Thank you, My Lord. I believe that's true-the talent gives
a significant boost to my Strength. And I will use all the strength I have to serve you as best as
I can."
"Good," Broken said, nodding in approval.
He felt a swell of pride seeing how much they had grown. Karl was just a little away from reaching level 200, and that would be an incredible milestone for them all.
[Name: Yann]
[Level: 185]
[Health: 2,580 | Mana: 3,336]
[Strength: 444 | Agility: 926 | Intelligence: 278 | Constitution: 258 | Stamina: 277]
Not only Karl, but Yann had also gained a significant number of levels-now reaching level 185. It wouldn't take much longer for him to reach level 200 as well.
What truly stood out, however, was his Agility. 926?! Though, looking more closely, it was evident that Yann's Stamina lagged behind, making him unbalanced. Perhaps Maylock would need to run some additional training sessions to address that.
"Yann... your level has also increased drastically. I'm pleased to see how much both of you
have achieved in just one night."
Yann bowed slightly. "Thank you, My Lord. Though, honestly, I still feel like I have a long way to go. If Lord Maylock hadn't been with us, things might have ended differently."
"That's a good mindset," Broken replied. "It means you recognize the room for growth and the opportunity to learn."
[Name: Anna]
[Level: 178]
[Health: 2,830 | Mana: 3,072]
[Strength: 796 | Agility: 341 | Intelligence: 256 | Constitution: 283 | Stamina: 380]
Broken paused for a moment, shaking his head as he examined Anna's stats. She was becoming impressively balanced, with high Strength complemented by solid Stamina. However, as a melee fighter, her Constitution was still lacking-a crucial area that needed
improvement.
"Good, Anna," he said. "Your progress is very significant."
"Thank you, My Lord," Anna responded, her cheerful smile beaming up at him.
Broken then shifted his gaze to Ivana. "Ivana, I'd like to take a look at your progress as well."
Ivana nodded, and her stats materialized in front of Broken.
[Name: Ivana]
[Level: 218]
[Health: 8,220 | Mana: 7,272]
[Strength: 677 | Agility: 494 | Intelligence: 606 | Constitution: 822 | Stamina: 720]
Broken swallowed hard as he looked over Ivana's stats. She had recovered remarkably well since that time in Hell when she had sacrificed so much to save Elowen. Was this progress too fast? Or had the brutal battle last night really pushed everyone to level up so quickly?
"Your level has recovered quite well, Ivana. And that's great."
Ivana smiled warmly and nodded. "Thanks, Broken."
Starfall observed Broken as he checked Ivana's stats and smiled softly.
"Ivana," she said, "you kept us all safe with your barrier. It seems like your Constitution and
Stamina must be quite high. Is that true?"
Ivana gave a humble shrug. "I can only block attacks. I'm not much use when it comes toNôv(el)B\\jnn
striking back."
"That's not true at all," Starfall replied earnestly. "Without your protection, the outcome could have been very different."
Anna chimed in, "Yes, Ms. Ivana! You kept those monsters from reaching us for hours-you
were absolutely incredible."
Starfall added with a nod, "If I had to choose an MVP of the battle before Broken arrived, it
would definitely be you."
"Thank you, everyone, for your appreciation," Ivana said and giggled.
Satisfied with their progress, Broken's thoughts shifted to another key ally. He decided it was
time to call Polly back, curious to see how she had evolved-especially her new wings.
"Polly..." he whispered.
