Chapter 507: - Follow the Plan or Kill us All

Elaine returned to her room, her mind spinning with everything that had happened—the disobedience of her Knights, Fang's escape, and Broken's sudden escape.

She knew the situation was dire, but she was determined to reunite the Knights and devise a plan to recapture Fang and restore order to her tribe. As she sat on her throne, the door to her room opened, and a wave of relief washed over her as Morel and the three remaining Knights entered.

Elaine stood up and walked toward them. "Morel, are all the troops ready?"

"Yes, My Lady," Morel replied.

Behind him, the Fairy Troops marched into the room, their hands gripping their swords tightly. Their faces were determined, but there was an unease in the air that Elaine couldn't quite place.

"Good," Elaine said. "So, everyone is prepared. Let us leave immediately to track down Sir Fang."

But just as Elaine was about to turn, she noticed something strange in Morel's expression. He stepped forward, drawing his spear and gripping it tightly, but there was no sign of excitement or loyalty in his eyes-only a grim determination.

"My Lady Elaine," Morel began, "it really pains me to make this decision."

"Morel? What do you mean?"

"My Lady," Morel began, "as Knight Commander, it is my duty to assume leadership in times of crisis. It has become clear that the current tribe leader is unable to guide us to victory, and therefore, I must take over as leader until this situation is resolved."

"Morel, what are you saying? I made a mistake, yes, but we can resolve this together. Trust me-please."

Morel shook his head. "Your judgment has been compromised, My Lady. Your feelings for this human, Broken, have clouded your decision-making. For the good of the tribe, I must take control." His tone grew colder. "I must place you under confinement until this crisis is over." "No, Morel! You can't do this! I can help. You need my power to recapture Sir Fang!"

"For the sake of the tribe, I cannot allow you to continue leading us. Please understand-this is necessary. Our problem now isn't just Sir Fang but Broken and his companion. We cannot let them go. If they return with reinforcements from the kingdom, we will face extinction," Morel declared.

"No! Broken would never do that!" Elaine protested. "He genuinely wants to help us." "And that's exactly the problem, My Lady," Morel responded. "You're blinded by your feelings for him. You can't see the danger clearly. Your judgment has been compromised." Morel's words were met with nods of agreement from the other faery knights in the room.

"Let me see Broken and talk to him," she insisted. "I'm certain he will understand. We can work this out."

"My Lady," Morel said, "you have two choices: accept our counsel and stand aside, or take matters into your own hands and fight us. Even if it means killing us all, should you choose to resist."

"You need to listen to me!" Elaine shouted, her voice trembling with a mix of desperation and authority. "I am still the leader!"

In response, the knights and soldiers raised their swords toward her, ready to act if necessary. Morel then took out two large bracelets, magically connected, clearly intended to bind Elaine's power.

"You have no other choice," Morel said coldly. "Come with us willingly, or kill us all."

"You know I can't fight you..." Elaine said, shaking her head.

"My Lady," Morel replied, "this is the best course of action we can take. Please, trust me. My only concern is the survival of our tribe."

Morel stepped toward her, gently taking her right hand and locking it into one of the large bracelets. He did the same with her left hand. The bracelets, designed to seal a faery's magic, made it impossible for Elaine to use her powers.

These same restraints were often worn by the faeries on the night of the full moon to prevent one of them from transforming into an Eternal Flame Faebeast.

With her magic sealed, Morel escorted Elaine to a secure room, locking her inside.

"You will stay here and accept whatever results we come to," Morel said. He bowed slightly. "Entrust this all to me, My Lady."

Elaine stood in silence, watching as Morel walked away, leaving her behind.

Broken and Ivana remained on Polly's back as she soared through the skies, racing to escape the Wildwood forest. They knew they had to get out of faery territory quickly-Broken had only a few hours left before he'd be forced to log out.

"Flying this high makes us an easy target for the faeries to spot," Broken said, glancing over his shoulder. "Plus, Polly can run faster on the ground, and it'll conserve her stamina."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"I agree," Ivana replied.

Polly dove down, her wings spread wide as they cut through the air, descending rapidly toward the forest floor. Just as they were about to land, a swarm of arrows suddenly shot up from below, darkening the sky with deadly precision. The sunlight caught on the sharp edges of the arrows, making them gleam as they rained down on them.

"Damn it! They've found us!"

He raised his spear, bracing himself for the barrage as Polly dodged the incoming arrows with agile movements, her powerful wings slicing through the air. The situation was growing more dangerous by the second, and Broken knew they were running out of time.

Ivana reacted swiftly, raising her hands to form a protective spherical barrier around them, shielding Polly from the incoming arrows.

Polly, despite the assault, flew with agility, twisting and turning in mid-air, her wings beating hard as she banked left and right, narrowly dodging the projectiles.

"We have to go down and fight them! If we stay in the air, they'll keep attacking us with no resistance!"

Polly kept flying, dodging more arrows that rained down from the forest. Some struck the barrier Ivana had conjured, but none breached it-yet.

"My barrier has a limit," Ivana warned.

Understanding the urgency, Polly began descending, wings straining as she lowered them toward the forest floor where Broken and Ivana could confront the aggressors head-on.

But before they could land, the air was suddenly filled with hundreds of glowing magic spheres, each one pulsing with energy and shooting toward them like a swarm of angry bees. "Magic attacks!" Broken shouted, his eyes narrowing as he watched the spheres leave trails of sparkling dust in their wake, each one guided by an unseen force straight toward them.

Polly dove sharply, but the magic spheres moved with incredible precision, closing in on them with terrifying speed. Broken readied himself, gripping his spear tightly as they prepared to face the incoming assault.

"Ivana, can your shield withstand this onslaught?"

"I'll try my best, Broken."

Polly flew with all her might, her wings beating hard against the air, but the magical spheres were fast and relentless, chasing them in a dazzling flurry of white light. No matter how sharply Polly twisted and dove, the spheres closed in.

The spheres collided with the barrier. There was a deafening explosion-a blinding flash of light and intense heat engulfed them all. The force rocked the air, sending shockwaves

rippling outward.

The barrier cracked under the strain, flickering desperately as Ivana struggled to hold it together. But the sheer power of the magical attack was overwhelming, and for a moment, everything was consumed in the blinding light of the explosion.
