Chapter 102 Shocking Revelation
Staring at the floating panel before his face, Raven leaned against the wall behind him and slowly drop down until he was sitting on his butt.
'So many rewards...' Raven mumbled with disbelief and couldn't help but recall the previous time he got so many rewards.
It was after he completed the Special Events, but compared to this one, that paled in comparison.
Let alone the 50 Avatar Points he had already allocated, causing the majority of his Traits to jump and reach 100 points in an instant, but now he can also collect 50 Avatar Flasks from which 25 will definitely grant him 9 points!
And he could also use his Collector's Gloves to double all those numbers!
"This is just ridiculous " mumbling with daze, Raven was ready to collect all the Flasks when suddenly his fingers froze.
'No, I should not do it here.' withdrawing his hand, Raven shook his head and sighed deeply.
'Although I don't have a clear idea how it is possible, now that my Avatar Imprint had been changed, outside Realms my luck is once again equivalent to zero so trying to duplicate my rewards would be pointless.'
And it was exactly because of this reason why that pipe broke and fell almost on his head. It was not a coincidence, it was just that he once again became extremely unlucky and everything around him wished to hurt him.
Also, now that he was once again cursed with bad luck just as he was in the past, his necklace possessed greater power than before, which can be only used within Realms. Thus, this was another reason why he should not do it now.
Naturally, there was still the possibility of him trying to use this new Luck Enhancement of his on his Collector's Glove, but with his less than 12% of Luck Energy it was also out of question.
'Then, the only thing I can do is...' as Raven reached that point with his line of thought, he turned his head to the side where the end of this dark alley was and pushed himself up onto his feet.
'To find a Realm Domain.'
With those words in mind, Raven walked to the edge of the alley and after taking a deep breath and making sure he had no mask on, he took a step forward.
'Ugh... So bright.' raising his hand above his eyes as he was not yet used to the rays of sunlight, Raven blinked a few times and glanced around.
However, once he was able to see properly and the rays of sunlight didn't hurt his eyes, he froze completely.
Flying vehicles in the sky, large buildings with modern designs, tall skyscrapers, and most importantly... humans!
With this, he was now 100% sure about it. He was back on Earth!
'However... Something has changed.' Raven muttered and watched as a humanoid figure with characteristics akin to a bull walked right before him, its frame as tall as three meters!
There was also a young woman with white wings coming out of her back, her figure drifting away in the sky slowly while her cold eyes stared at the people below her almost as if they were ants!
And it was not just the two of them. There were many more, each having their own unique appearance.
"Just what the hell happened here...?" Raven mumbled and was ready to start walking when suddenly someone yelled at him from the side.
"Hey, brat! Watch out!"
"Huh?"
Raven had no time to react to see who yelled at him when suddenly he felt as if something strong crashed into him, sending his body flying like a ragdoll through the air!
Bam!
"A-Argh... Fuck man! You can't see or what? This is a fucking bike lane! You can't just stand here and daze off as if you were on the beach!" cursing out loud, the man jumped onto his feet and looked at his bicycle.
"You are fucking lucky it didn't break, or else..." the man shifted his gaze at Raven with fury, however, when his gaze met his the words he wished to say next stuck in his throat.
There, lying on the ground with his already messed up white suit, filled in holes and covered in both dust and dried-up blood, Raven stared at the man with eyes as sharp as two daggers.
"...J-Just makes sure you watch out the next time." the man stuttered before he jumped onto his bicycle and dashed away almost as if his life depended on it.
"Sigh..."
Standing up with a heavy sigh, Raven patted his cloth once before he let out another heavy sigh and shook his head helplessly.
'It's already beyond saving...'
[Your Luck Energy had been boosted by 1%!]
'Great...' Raven showed a wry smile and began to walk, seemingly having a destination in hand.
"Well... It seems a lot of things have changed in these three months that I have been away." Raven mumbled as he looked around, only now realizing that many things have changed.
So many, that for a split second he even doubted he was really back on Earth. Luckily, however, because he recognized the tall buildings around him, that doubt vanished just as fast as it appeared.
'But still... It is crazy to think so many things were able to change in just three months. Just what exactly happened while I was away?' wondering, Raven began to walk while examining everything around him with both awe and shock.
And sure enough, after walking for close to fifteen minutes straight, he finally reached the location he was so familiar with.
The Star Palace.
'So I am really in Nova City...' Raven sighed with relief.
"Breaking News! The Black Moon Guild has done it again! Another Crimson Gate had been conquered!"
'Huh? The Black Moon Guild?' hearing the familiar name, Raven quickly shifted his gaze to the side where a large hologram floated above a large circular device.
However, his eyes couldn't even reach the section where they talked about his father's guild as they were stuck on something he didn't wish to accept.
"No, no, no, no... This must be just a glitch!"
Raven's face paled almost as if he had just seen a ghost and quickly ran before the closest man to him.
"What's the date?"
"E-Excuse me?"
"The date... What is the date today?"
The man felt confused by Raven's question and even a little scared after seeing his clothes, but after seeing the grave expression on his face he swallowed nervously and spoke;
"I-It's the 26th of July..."
"What year?" Raven immediately asked, the color of his face turning even paler than before.
"It's... It's 2058."
'...'
'...Impossible.'
