Mind Demon's Path of Domination

Chapter 142: Mark's Transformation.

The creature soon evolved. Mark and Yuri stared at it with curious eyes, wondering their own set of doubts. When it was over, both of them exchanged a glance.

"The creature still looks human," Yuri said.

"Don't you feel something wrong?" Mark questioned.

Yuri frowned. "What's wrong?"

"The creature's demon once more. It's human-sized, but demon-looking. Well, in simpler terms, its color changed into a greenish one. Well, color doesn't matter, but it's a curious change. Won't you say?"

Yuri nodded.

Now that they had seen that a humanified demon could evolve without any issues, there didn't seem to be any problems left. And since the color of the demon changed, it could be said that it was still fundamentally a demon, even though it looked human.

"So, can I use this method on myself to change my shape and size to my wish?" he asked, "What do you think?"

"Do a bunch more research," Yuri replied. "And even if you do plan to use it on yourself, you need to remember your current body structure. Only then can you change back to default if you regret changing later."

Mark nodded. A sound judgment.

Reol'ran added calmly. "This girl's scientific talent is not bad. If she had been born in an advanced scientific world, her achievements might be much scarier than now. She built a mecha in a world like the Hunter World, so I do have to give that to her."

"What are your thoughts on me turning into a smaller size?"

"It doesn't matter, really. You are being too worried. Let me ask you, Mark, where do Demons get their demonic tricks from?"

"...Their Bloodline?"

"Indeed. Your bloodline is the mixture of the three—Dream, Heart, and Dungeon—Demon Bloodlines. That is where most of your demonic tricks come from. And that's what makes you a demon, not your shape or look."

"True."

"As long as your demon bloodline is still within you and you are still alive, you will be a Demon. That's about it. And if you change your shape, I can assure you that you won't have any drawbacks. Just in case something goes wrong, don't worry, I understand your existence to the molecular level and can help you go back to the default if it ever came to it."

Mark smiled.

"Should I perfect the method more by using it on more creatures?"

"Not really. This is more than enough. Of course, it would be painful, so you will have to learn to resist such things. But that's perfect training for your mind. Pain was drug to me when I was at your level."

Mark chuckled. "You are the best, Reo'lran, I love you. I don't know what I'd do without you. Truly, you are my sugar mommy."

Reol'ran grew silent. So silent, Mark wondered for a second what happened before understanding. Reol'ran was a pretty shy woman even though she was also the exact opposite of that, she wasn't one to easily accept compliments at least.

He wrapped his Soul Sense around the transformed Demonling—now Lower Demon—and threw it to a distant part of his World Space. He couldn't leave such transformed creatures here and there. One Lightning Snake-turned-human might not be too bad but if the stronger demons noticed a lot of new, human-like demons around, Mark would be in trouble.

They would start wondering what was underfoot and with their abilities, they might track him down. Mark had started being wary of demons; he knew what a demon could do. Especially considering they would be intelligent from Tier 3, he had to be careful.

His World Space was incredibly vast, there was enough space to bury as many corpses as he wanted there. Of course, the space within was mostly ocean, and the Lower Demon had fallen into waters without an island for hundreds of kilometers.

It might swim for a while but when it grows exhausted, it would just die and will become fertilizer for his world's growth.

This was just natural.

His world needed more land, more animals, and more nature. It needed to become more world-like. Only to a level where he could handle its troubles of course.

"So what is the next plan?" Yuri asked, swinging her legs on his shoulder.

"Little scientist," he called, "I am going to do something else."

He took her by her lab robes and placed her on the ground.

Smiling, Mark patted her head with his huge fingers and then sat down cross-legged. He looked towards the Boss Demon and the Minotaur, "Protect us at all costs."

When he used Alchemic Shapeshifting on him, it was bound to hurt. That could ruin his concentration and he might be intercepted in between the process, ending up doing an exuberant self-murder. He didn't want that.

Focus.

Mark touched his left hand with his right hand and watched as it began to transform into a weird, smaller version of itself. A deformed hand.

Alchemic Shapeshifting.

Mark gritted his teeth. So painful.

This was the worst pain he had experienced in his life.

He didn't stop and used it on his entire body.

The quicker he finished, the quicker this hell would end.

First, the left arm changed and became human-sized, and he felt incredible strength condensed inside that fist.

Agony.

This was agony worse than burning.

Mark couldn't hold back a wretched groan.

Yuri stared in worry, biting her nails.

He hadn't even learned about his demonic anatomy. What if he regrets this later? Can he turn back? Foolish. But I know my Mark, he wouldn't do such a thing without a plan.

Mark gritted his teeth, blood leaking down his fanged face.

In case he regretted it, he had Reol'ran to show him the path. But in case he failed, it wouldn't be a good sight.

As Yuri watched in confusion, his body began to shrink. It was quick. His bones, blood, and everything became visible for a second before his entire body just—shrank.

"Haa…" He groaned, the pain vanishing.

The transformation was quick, but for that small moment, he had seen hell.
