Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

Chapter 397 - Jackson's Truthful Words To Jane

Instead of frowning or throwing a fit of anger like she normally did, Jackson was surprised to see that Jane was still maintaining her beautiful smile.

"Jack, look at how thin your face has become within just four days," Jane said as she raised her hand and touch Jackson's face. Since Jackson didn't expect this he couldn't avoid her touch.

"What the hell has come over you? Didn't I say that you should never lay your hands on me? Is it that you don't recall it or you are deliberately defying my orders," Jackson asked as he held her hand still on his face and quickly flung it away.

"Jack, why are you so cruel to me? What have I done wrong again? I saved you from getting removed from your position as CEO so why are you still hostile towards me?" Jane asked faking a painful expression.

"Quit with the pretence because I am not cut out for these. I am here to ask you a few questions and you must tell me the answers honestly," Jackson said in a firm tone.

"What did you say to Jasmine yesterday when you barged into my home?" Jackson asked in a cold tone that showed he was serious about this.

"What could I possibly say to her. And Jack don't tell me the reason you called me out was to ask about her and not because you wanted to take me out on a date?" Jane asked the question whose answer was very obvious.

"You thought I wanted to take you out on a date? What exactly is our relationship that I will take you out on a date when I have a fiancee whom I will be getting married to soon?" Jackson's reply gave Jane a huge blow. He was too angry to care about how Jane felt.

"Maybe you might have misunderstood my question earlier so let me rephrase it. What deal did you and Jasmine make yesterday? Did you threaten her to leave me?" Jackson asked, his piercing glares directed at Jane's face.

Jane instead of answering Jackson's question closed her eyes only to open them about a minute later.

"I didn't say an ounce of lies. I only told her the truth...,"

"And what goddamn truth are you talking about?" Jackson cut her short sharply.

"That she was responsible for the situation you and the company were going through. She has brought nothing but misfortune to you. If it wasn't for her you wouldn't have gotten seriously hurt that you had to use a wheelchair. I also said she doesn't deserve you and this is nothing but the truth...,"

"Who the hell are you to comment whether she deserves me or not? Who are you to me Jane Allen to make such a comment about the woman I love?" Jackson asked furiously. If not that he doesn't hit women he would have punched Jane really hard on the face for saying such hurtful words to Jasmine.

"And did you say you were telling the truth? You must have been very happy when you said those hurtful words to her right, so why don't I tell you some truth I have kept to myself?" Jackson asked as though he was giving her a choice.

The truth was whether or not Jane said no he would have still said what he had in mind.

"The truth is that I am not into you, Jane Allen? I have never felt attracted to you nor have I ever for once fantasise about a future with you. I didn't love you yesterday, I won't love you today and that will never happen even in the future so I advise you to stay very far away from me if you know what is good for you because I am afraid I might end up murdering you if you keep on making things hard for my woman," Jackson said as he turned to leave but Jane hugged him from behind preventing him from leaving.

"Jack, I am the one who has always loved you not she. Why do you care so about a lady who is only using you to get back with her ex-boyfriend? Why are you so obsessed with a lady who doesn't love you? She acts as if she loves you but the reality is that the only one she loves is her ex-boyfriend. She even makes love to him...," Jackson violently pushed her away before Jane could finish her sentence. Jane almost fell to the ground had she not balanced her stance at the last minute.

"The next time you say slanderous words about my woman, I won't hesitate to strangle you to death," Jackson said fiercely before he turned and left.

When he walked some distance away he was surprised to see Kai standing there, close to the bushy pathway. Judging from the distance from where he previously stood, he knew Kai heard all he said.

Jackson walked past Kai without uttering a word to him.

Kai approached where the angry and heartbroken Jane stood gripping her aching chest.

"Kai, what on earth did you do to Jasmine?" These were the words Kai asked Jane when he reached where he stood. Jane turned and glared at the guy with whom she practically grew up.

"Is that all you can say to me?" Jane snapped.

"You are my cousin, you should be on my side so why are you asking me about that lady? If you had kept her in check when she was your fiance none of this would have happened. You are also responsible for my pains," Jane yelled in annoyance.

"Jack would have been mine if you had made her keep her distance...,"

"He has made it clear that he never love you so that means whether or not Jasmine showed up he wouldn't have still been yours. When are you going to accept reality, Jane?" Kai asked in a serious tone?

"That is not true. Jack would have married me if she was never in the picture...," Jane said not wanting to accept reality.

"What is so good about her that all the men in the city are all crazy about her? What do people see in her that made them love her so? Why won't Jack even look my way after staying with her for a few weeks? What charms did she use on him to have him under her clutches?" Jane asked as though Kai knew the answer to all her questions.
