Chapter 488 Gathering of Leaders (II)
Chapter 488 Gathering of Leaders (II)
"The only answer to my question is, what if Ahrimon wants us to think like this and not interfere?" Telarion said after moments of silence.
"I say we let the demons invade before we intervene because at least then we will know what we are truly dealing with instead of rushing into a potential trap."
"The domain is getting weaker with each passing day, and a large-scale sustainable cure is at least a few years away, so even if we completely stop this incoming invasion, the peace would not last for long,"
"The Chaos that traitor would bring is imminent, and it would cause the Deaths of Billions, and delaying his plans for a limited time would not change much, if anything at all, in the long run."
"But I also understand that the Domain Ruler and many among you do not agree with this choice, so let us vote," Telarion continued, his eyes locking with Alex.
Each leader contemplated before raising their hands, signaling their support for delaying intervention, and moments later, seven out of the twelve leaders had their hands raised in favor of postponing action until the situation was clarified.
"Domain Ruler, The Dwarven Clan is immensely grateful to you and will stand on the frontline in the upcoming war, but this old man has to agree with the Dragon lad on this matter," Horfaem said as he bowed toward Alex before his figure vanished.
One by one, the other Elders either said few words or gave him a silent greeting before teleporting away, leaving behind five leaders, three belonging to major clans and two belonging to minor.
"The Human Empire will stand against evil to protect the innocents, and Sir Zanthean Ormas will personally lead the Elites of Eternal Servants Order,"
"Guardian Varon, I will stay in touch with you, and Domain Ruler, it was a pleasure seeing you again," Ar'tarron, the first Prince of the Human Empire, said before he took his leave.
The Werewolf and the Giant clan leader showed their support and directly shared their willingness to welcome Immortal Adventurers into their territory, which was indirectly their price for jumping into a possible trap.
"The Immortal Adventurers have been an enormous help, and a large number of them could change the domain for the better and massively help in elevating the burden from many suffering territories,"
"But I understand that the domain entry tokens are not free, and you are already doing a lot for the Domain, and without us old fogies telling you, you will keep doing it, and for that you have my eternal gratitude,"
"My Empire will send Elder Harvion, The Monarch of Protection, and any help that is deemed necessary,"
"Domain Ruler, While I do not have any requests for the assistance of my people, I do have a request," Rocwyn said, and after a short pause, he continued.
"Ruinov, I want that kid to be my disciple,"
"He has the potential to be someone great, and maybe just maybe even become the Ruler of the Beast Empire," Rocwyn said after he appeared before Alex, his bright golden eyes silently staring at him.
'I knew after the little stunt he pulled, the Beastmen would either love him or hate him, treating him as an anomaly,' Alex thought, hearing the request of the Beast Emperor.
"Ruinov is the name of his persona, but his true name is Andrei."
"Andrei is a brother to me, and unlike many other adventurers, he's a simple man who values his free will."
"So while I can make him your disciple, I hope he does not get involved in the Beast Empire politics," Alex said, agreeing to the request but also clarifying that Andrei would not want the troubles of empire politics.
"Domain Ruler, you have my gratitude," Rocwyn said with a big smile before he disappeared, only to appear on his chair.
"Domain Ruler, It was a pleasure seeing you," Queen Bellatrix said with a slight bow before disappearing from the chamber.
Alex breathed a sigh of relief, knowing at least things went well, and he would do everything he could to save the Human Continent.
But after the points raised by Telarion, which could not be denied, Alex felt gutted knowing that even if everything went well and they stopped the invasion, they would not be able to save the billions that were destined to die in the incoming chaos.
Alex could only comfort himself with the fact that he would be doing everything he could to save as many as he could and one day, he would have the chance to purge the world of that Evil.
Elder Rocwyn was waiting to meet with Andrei so Alex did not waste any time, and they both went to the training chamber.
Alex next met with the Human Emperor and his guardians and went to the Human Continent to drop off the Emperor, who was feeling relieved after hearing the news of the Clan leader meeting being successful.
Emperor Melvin went straight to his palace and took his throne back, and he did not waste any time in announcing his return to the public, but not before imprisoning his first son.
The Emperor was surrounded by traitors, but he did not need to fear for his life because even as traitors, the Empire's guardians were bound by law oaths to protect the Empire and its Emperor even at the cost of their lives.
As for why the guardians were betraying the Empire, they swore to protect it because once the Eldravian Empire took the White Flame Empire as its vessels, it would no longer remain an Empire, freeing the guardians from their oaths.
Emperor Melvin did not waste any time in declaring war against the Demonic Cult because even though he knew his actions would create unrest among the people and would result in many innocents losing their lives, it needed to be done to avoid problems in case the worst happens and they needed to face a full-scale invasion.
Alex also returned to the Domain and shifted his complete focus on Ruler missions because he wanted to advance to the Third stage of Ruler Authority before he entered the Ancestral Realm.
In the following three months, Alex spent his time between training, taking two groups of ten individuals to the Human Continent, and spending half a day on missions.
After two months, Alex advanced to the Second Rank in real life, and even the six Ultimate Dreamweave capsules were delivered to the Guild house, and to say they were mindblowing would be an understatement.
The results from the new capsules were 60% of what Alex received while he practiced the mana gathering himself, and while slightly above half, considering how little time he gave to growing in real life, the results would be monumental compared to before.
There were only five or so weeks left before the Ancestral Realm opened, and the good news was that from the two hundred or so candidates that Venedikt picked for awakening, thirteen of them successfully awakened, giving them more than enough members to pick for the remaining spots.
Another good thing that happened in the two months was the selection competition, where because of various clans' generosity, players were allowed to participate, or more like the clans used their entry tickets as the price to attract players into their territory.
As this players were growing stronger and entering Fourth Rank, their value was rising, and because of their limited numbers and immense usefulness, the competition for them by each clan in need was fierce.
The good thing this happened was that three of the organization members secured their spot in the finals that would bring place over the following four weeks, and there was hope that one of them could earn an entry spot.
The preparation for the incoming clash was made as the Human Continent housed four Monarchs, close to a hundred Elemental Rulers, and close to four hundred Elite Elementalists.
In this past two months, the gathered individuals did not sit around, but rather, they searched every nook and cranny for the Four Chaos Generals, but it was clear this either they were hidden too well or were not even present on the Human Continent.
The same was true for some truly strong Cult members, as this only figures along with strength reaching the peak of the sixth stage were found, so for the time being, everyone was just waiting for things to start.
