MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1120 Arcane Staff of Azure Primacy

1120  Arcane Staff of Azure Primacy

Ttang! Ttang! Ttang!

With his attention wholly focused on the new weapon he was working on, Valyr remained oblivious to the passage of time as he continued to refine the magic staff on his anvil.

With both [Hunter's Tracking Eyes] and [Vision of the First Blacksmith] activated during the forging process, it went without saying that all of the impurities that the young man found on the weapon were removed the moment they appeared.

Because of that, the weapon transformed into one harmonious piece under his vision, only for it to now be elevated one step further with the refinement he was doing.

Ttang! Ttang! Ttang!

Ding!

"…Success." Hearing a notification resound in his mind the moment he was done, a relieved smile appeared on Valyr's face as he disabled both [Hunter's Tracking Eyes] and [Vision of the First Blacksmith], finally allowing him to look at his new magic staff in greater detail.

Unlike the magic scepter Hal gave him back at the inheritance, his current magic staff stood at a height that was only a couple decimeters lower than him.

Other than that, the entire body of the staff seemed to be made out of one material, the seams that would've normally connected the shaft to the top nowhere to be seen.

Because of that, the staff gave off a regal feeling when one looked at it, only for the feeling to be amplified once one noticed the dark blue crystal at the top. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Sensing the destructive energies roiling within the dark blue crystal, it was only then one would realize that the staff, albeit seemingly made for royalty, was ultimately a weapon made for mass destruction.

"It definitely wasn't a mistake to use those Refinement Jewels on this weapon," said the young man with a slight chuckle. "Even though I've yet to look at its stats in detail, I already know for a fact that it's way better than the Arcane Scepter of Redemption."

With that in mind, he went ahead and used [Superior Analysis] on his new weapon, immediately becoming pleasantly surprised the moment he took a look at its description.

Initially the blueprint of a magic weapon that could be considered a blank slate, the pioneer of blacksmithing has breathed new life into it by infusing it with a domineering type of energy.

Through this, the weapon has undergone rebirth, allowing it to… most of the description has been omitted.

<Innate Skill 1: Prime Azure Resonance - Increases the user's Attack and INT stat by 5% when the user has Prime Azure Energy. Also increases the user's Prime Azure Energy regeneration by 25% when equipped. The effects of this skill are doubled when the Prime Azure Origin uses this weapon.>

'If I were to talk about its Attack stat, it still pales in comparison to the Azure Serpent Staff Sellifer gave me,' thought Valyr to himself. 'Then again, that should've been a no-brainer. After all, it's a Legendary+ grade weapon.'

'Plus, the last time I took a look at it, it was when I was at the peak of Rank 3.' The young man faintly shuddered at the thought. 'Pretty sure the weapon would surpass the 10,000 mark if I take a look at it now.'

"However…" As this word left his mouth, a grin gradually began to appear on his face. "If I were to compare their innate skills, then this staff is far better for the current me."

Taking a look at its innate skills once more, Valyr began to grin wider, only to recall the start where he was just about to begin forging his new magic staff.

After entering a tranquil state as he prepared all of the tools and materials he would need, Valyr went ahead and opened up his Technology Tree to unlock all of the advancements that he felt were necessary.

Of course, with how far the advancements on his Innovation branch went, it went without saying that the advancements he needed to unlock were found in the Combat and Production branches.

Considering the amount of Technology Points he had, as well as the titles that made unlocking and upgrading them cheaper, the young man eventually decided to max out all of the advancements he could unlock at his current rank.

With each Technology Point under his name being twice as effective thanks to [Herald of the New Era], the young man was able to unlock and max every advancement in both branches after only spending 100,000 Technology Points.

Naturally, as he was forging a magic staff, that also included the advancements within the magic-focused sub-branches he unlocked in the past.

With all of the necessary knowledge flowing through his mind, it did not take long for the young man to start forging the staff, utilizing [Ephemeral Limbs of the First Blacksmith] to a certain extent to speed up some parts of the process.

In the end, it only took him less than a day to forge the entire staff, though it would've taken less if he were to omit the removal of impurities through [Hunter's Tracking Eyes] and [Vision of the First Blacksmith].

Then, once the staff was forged, he then imbued the staff with his Prime Azure Energy, allowing it to take on the energy's properties.

Of course, the reason why he needed to do this step was due to the magic staff blueprint he'd chosen, which sacrificed a bit of the staff's inherent power in exchange for greater flexibility.

Unsurprisingly, that flexibility came in the form of compatibility with almost every type of energy in existence. Naturally, that included his own Prime Azure Energy.

After the staff had successfully taken in the properties of his Prime Azure Energy, it went without saying that he went all out in upgrading the weapon, immediately enhancing its level to match his own.

Then, after he ascended its foundation to the 1st Tier, he went ahead and awakened its attributes with the help of his attribute awakening skill.

With the skill's efficacy being increased thanks to the special effect of using Prime Azure Energy through his current race, he was surprisingly able to achieve a near-perfect awakening on all three attributes in less than 30 tries.

After that, he carried out refinement on the weapon, pushing its refinement level to +15 with the help of the same effect that allowed him to achieve a near-perfect awakening.

With the aid of a couple Refinement Jewels, he was then able to push the weapon to +20, allowing the weapon to achieve its max refinement level for its current grade.

"It's a shame the skills on Sellifer's weapon doesn't affect Prime Azure Energy." Saying these words to himself, Valyr went ahead and stored all of the things he'd brought out back into his spatial bracelet.

Glancing at his new magic staff with a hint of excitement, the young man had thoughts of testing his new weapon out in the battlefield as he made his way out of the Blacksmith Guild's mission hall.

Waving goodbye to all of the attendants that came out to bid him farewell, Valyr went ahead and stored the staff in his spatial bracelet for the meantime, only to stop in his tracks soon after as he received a notification.

Ding!

Being informed that he'd received a new message, Valyr began to slightly frown as he wondered who would send him a message at this time.

Letting out a sigh as he opened up the message, the slight frown on Valyr's face gradually turned into an excited grin the more he read it.

By the time he was done reading, the excitement he felt from the message became near tangible to the point he showed no hesitation in heading straight to the center of the military base.

Whoosh!

Enlisting the help of one of his movement skills, it only took less than a minute for the young man to arrive at the center of the base.

Looking around for a bit, it did not take long for him to find the two individuals he was looking for, causing the grin on his face to turn wider as he came up to the two. "Hopefully I didn't make the two wait that long."

Hearing Valyr speak to them, the two turned around to look at him, only to be left at a slight loss for words the moment they saw him.

Of course, with how much time the three of them spent together back in the inheritance, it did not take long for the two of them to realize what was going on.

Smiling in response to his greeting, the man let out a chuckle as he replied back, "Well, well, well. Look who showed up."

"After four months, we finally meet again…"

"Ylvar."
