[Due to the Tincture of Heavenly Reconstruction, your current species has slightly improved.]

[The racial skill 'Spirit of Fortitude' has been awakened.]

'Honestly, I don't really have anything to say about the stats I gained from the tincture,' inwardly muttered Valyr to himself after regaining his bearings. 'After all, with how even it was, the 100 point boost was practically random.'

'However, the same couldn't be said for the hidden stats I've awakened.' As this thought came to mind, the young man's eyes gleamed with excitement.

'The fact that I've awakened Intellect and Acuity will definitely help me out as a mage in the long run.'

Considering that the first set of hidden stats awakened by the tincture corresponded to one of the eight main stats, Intellect and Acuity corresponded to INT and WIS, respectively.

Of course, it went without saying that having higher INT allowed his spells to dish out more damage. Having higher INT also increased how much mana he had.

On the other hand, the effects of WIS were not that noticeable at first glance.

…If one wasn't a mage, that is.

For a mage, a high WIS stat was equivalent to having a high AGI stat while one's class relied on STR for its attacks.

As to why, it was because WIS worked a bit differently for mages.

Specifically, a single point of WIS increased the amount of mana they could recover per second, as well as reduced the amount of mana needed to cast a spell to a certain degree.

Although a couple points on WIS here and there only gave one nigh-unnoticeable benefits at the start, once one had an insane amount of WIS, as well as an absurdly powerful mana circuit skill, becoming a magic-slinging turret was a foregone conclusion.

In fact, that was what Valyr had in mind when he decided that he was going to trek the path of a mage as a player.

After all, the amount of effort he needed to put in to become a nigh-endless magic gatling gun took far less effort compared to the effort he put in to get to where he currently was as a blacksmith.

But of course, it was only relatively easier.

"Aside from that, I also got Ferocity and Tolerance," murmured Valyr to himself, only for him to raise his eyebrow in curiosity as he reached the end of his notifications.

"[Spirit of Fortitude]?"

"…Was this a racial skill people could get early on?" asked the young man after some time, eventually deciding to bring up its description to get a better idea of what it was.

Ding!

[Spirit of Fortitude] (Racial Skill)

Many consider the human race to be the most prolific race in the entire universe due to the fact that they continuously adapt and evolve to endure the environments surrounding them.

However, what many don't know is that the feat of adaptability is merely a side effect of the human race's spirit. A spirit filled with great fortitude, conviction, and determination that it does not know when to give up.

This skill increases the user's INT, WIS, and PER by 5 points each. This skill also increases the user's resistance to illusions and other mind-related debuffs by 10%.

————

"…Neat." By the time Valyr was done reading through its description, the young man became certain that the only reason why he'd gotten the skill was due to the tincture's effects of improving his species.

After all, a racial skill that improves one's resistance towards something was only something obtainable at the higher ranks.

Feeling as if the racial skill made up for his failure to trigger the Mana Essence Fruit's final effect, Valyr took in a deep breath as he glanced at the last elixir he prepared for himself.

"The Constitution Refinement Elixir." Briefly rubbing his hands in expectation, the young man swiftly removed the bottle's stopper before downing its contents in just a few gulps.

Whoosh!

In just a matter of moments, Valyr began to feel a warm sensation spread to every inch of his body, briefly reminding him of the time he consumed the elixir back at Mystia's place.

Though, just as the thought came to mind, the warm sensation gradually began to turn into a burning sensation, only to then turn into the sensation of him being placed over an open flame.

'…Ah, fuck.' Realizing that he had no Mystia to help soothe the agonizing pain he was going through, Valyr could not help but let out a string of profanities that would bring even keyboard warriors to shame from how varied and all-encompassing it was.

Yet, even that was not enough to make him forget the pain he was going through, forcing him to grit his teeth near the end as he tried his best to endure the hellish sensation through sheer willpower.

Thankfully, the scalding sensation enveloping his entire body only lasted for a few more minutes after that, allowing him to let out a wide sigh of relief as he splayed himself on the ground in exhaustion.

"…At the very least the stats I get from the elixir make up for the pain I went through," muttered Valyr to himself with a wry smile.

"With me consuming the elixir while still being at Rank 0, I get over twice the amount of stat and hidden stat points compared to when I consumed it at the peak of Rank 4."

"I definitely have no plans of doing it again, though," said the young man after that, eventually sitting upright as he brought up a notification screen in front of him.

"Now then…" Seeing that all of his stats had significantly improved thanks to the Constitution Refinement Elixir, Valyr only became even more eager to see how much his stats had improved.

"Can I now call myself the strongest player of Greater Beyond?"
