MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 905 Viewing the Rewards (1)

905  Viewing the Rewards (1)

"System, identify my current species."

Sitting back down once more with his mind made up, Valyr sent this command to the system with a hint of expectation.

After all, from the very moment he'd obtained those rewards from the inheritance, he was already benefiting from their effects.

All in all, he had gained a great amount of strength from all of them, with him more or less certain that the species Vaughn had helped him unlock was one of the main contributors as to why his strength had grown this much.

Ding!

Looking at the screen before him, Valyr soon sported a smile as his suspicions were confirmed to be correct.

Though, as he continued reading through it, the more this smile was replaced by a look of slight shock.

————

[Old Veldanyr Human | Pseudo-High Human (3rd Unsealing)] (Species)

A variant of human unique to the planet of Veldanyr, this human variant came about thanks to the high level of technological knowledge the natives boasted, making great use of it to enhance their physical and mental properties even before the system had been introduced to them.

Though these humans have modified their bodies to take on a plethora of properties through this technology, these humans usually boast a lifespan that's far longer than what is normally achievable, mostly due to the non-existence of the system.

Aside from that, these humans also boast a level of strength and intellect far higher than the usual humans, as well as a base lifespan that goes slightly beyond the limit of what normal humans reach.

Because of this, the system categorizes this human variant as similar to the High Humans, humans who were successful in partly extricating themselves from the racial shackles inherent in their bodies either through the system or other means.

However, as none of these humans have actually extricated themselves from their inherent racial shackles, these human variants are only considered Pseudo-High Humans due to how eerily similar they are to them.

Nevertheless, with a bit of effort, it is possible for these humans to become true High Humans. It is also theorized that these humans would be possible to reach an even higher stage of humanity if one were to put in the effort.

<Racial Skill: Culmination of Aspirations - The human race is considered the strongest race in the universe when it comes to adaptation, able to survive in any situation and environment through sheer tenacity.

As a variant of humanity that has developed through the path of technology, that fact still remains strong, though it takes on a more specialized approach due to their environment and their limitations.

This skill allows the user to allocate 200 points to any of the eight main stats through their own discretion. An allocation shall remain permanent for a week before regaining the ability to reconfigure it once more. Cooldown: 7 days.>

<Racial Passive 1: Culmination of Innovation - Boosts all of the user's stats, as well as the user's HP and MP by 5%.>

<Racial Passive 2: Basic Longevity - Extends the user's lifespan to twice what it originally was.>

————

"Huh." Scratching the back of his head for a bit as he gave himself time to process everything he just read, Valyr leaned back into the chair as he moved the screen to the side.

Taking in a deep breath to compose himself, the young man soon began to adorn a smile as he thought about the abilities his new species came attached with.

"In many ways, the racial skill is inferior to the one the High Human race would give me," said Valyr to himself, letting out a chuckle soon after. "But unlike that skill, I could already use this one and still have the potential to aim for a higher-tier species." Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Even more so with the Records of Unfettering and Transcending Races Vaughn gave me," he continued, thinking that he should make use of the knowledge sooner or later.

Other than the racial skill he inadvertently gained, the passive that boosted his stats was quite similar to the High Human race, boosting all of his important stats by a considerable degree.

"I guess that's why the system considered it to be Pseudo-High Human," thought Valyr out loud, only to then recall the second passive.

Unlike the first passive, the second passive was not something the High Human race had. In fact, if one wanted to gain the [Longevity] skill or a skill that had a similar function, they would have to go through multiple hoops if they wanted to remain a High Human…

Or transform into a species that had [Longevity] during the class ascension process.

Of course, there were species that contained the best of both worlds that could be chosen through the system.

However, the chances of one gaining that option during their class ascension was incredibly small, especially if one was just randomly searching for a straw to grasp onto.

In any case, though it was not as potent as the usual [Longevity] skill that extends one's lifespan by at least five times, [Basic Longevity] would still give Valyr more than enough time for him to plan things out later down the road.

Not only that, but [Basic Longevity] was considered the inferior version of [Longevity], which meant that there was a possibility for Valyr to improve it to the latter skill at some point.

"Now that I'm Rank 3, I could potentially live for a maximum of 300 years," muttered the young man to himself, recalling the information he got from the Myriad Archives.

"Having comprehended an Intent, that extends by 25%, so I could live for 375 years."

"And now with [Basic Longevity], that doubles to 750, which means I could now live for as long as a Legend could."

Grinning at the thought, the young man then extrapolated how long he could live if he had reached the qualifications of a Legend, ascending to Rank 5 and comprehending a Force and all that.

In conclusion, he would be able to more or less live for as long as a newly-ascended Myth would, which was undoubtedly an absurd amount of time for him, especially considering he'd just lived for under 30 years in total.

"Let's move on." More than satisfied with the effects his species gave him, Valyr thought about making use of the racial skill some other time as he closed the screen.

After that, he commanded the system to bring up the description of a skill, a skill that had already gone through multiple changes in his journey so far.

"System, identify [Sole Inheritor of the Darkstar Lineage]."

Ding!

————

[Sole Inheritor of the Darkstar Lineage] (Lv. MAX)

Rarity: Ancient

The founder of the Zeihardt clan is said to be a being of his own caliber, having the ability to wield great amounts of strength through his hands, as well as exhibit a nigh-unreachable level of stamina and vitality compared to his peers.

Unlike many of the other descendants of the founder, more of the founder's blood flows through your veins, a proof of your existence as the Herald of the Zeihardt clan.

However, through your investigations, you have found out that you hadn't just obtained more of the founder's blood, but instead have the entirety of his blood flowing through your veins, transforming into a Harbinger of the Zeihardt clan.

Yet, the journey doesn't end there.

By coming face to face with the founder of the Zeihardt clan itself, you have found out from him directly that you are a walking miracle, an entity that shouldn't have existed, an anomaly amidst the infinite possibilities.

Through him, you realized that you are the sole inheritor of the Darkstar lineage, the sole living proof of the existence of the old humans of Veldanyr in the current age.

The sole entity that could carry on his torch, his aspirations for the future of humanity.

If the user's class rank is at Rank 5 or below, this skill increases all of the user's stats by 30%, as well as the user's maximum HP and MP by 40%.

If the user's class rank is at Rank 6 or above, this skill increases all of the user's stats by 20%, as well as the user's maximum HP and MP by 30%.

[Note: You have finally discovered the origin of your identity. The shackles binding you have finally been unchained, allowing you to exert the true potential of your existence. The sky is now the limit. The world is now the start.]

————

Unlike when he read through the description of his new species, Valyr was left at a complete loss for words after reading through the description of the skill.

For one, he did not expect that the skill he had gained through the mere mention of his background would eventually turn out into a skill that would have a rarity of Ancient grade.

Not only that, but as it was an Ancient skill, it boosted his stats to an absurd degree that none of his other skills could match.

"Even if I ascend to a Myth, it would still be the strongest stat-boosting passive in my skill list," muttered Valyr to himself, taking in a few deep breaths to compose himself.

Staring at the description of the skill for a bit more, Valyr's gaze eventually glossed over the note attached at the end of it.

"The sky is now the limit. The world is now the start…" Reading through the last few statements attached on the note, the young man's expression soon shifted to a smile as he closed the screen.

Closing his eyes for a bit, Valyr then let out a soft exhale.

"Considering how strong I've gotten after leaving the inheritance, I guess those statements may be true."

"Well, if I looked at it from the perspective of my end goal, I still have a long way to go."

"…But then again, that doesn't mean I haven't come a long way to get to where I am right now."

"…"

"…"

"System, identify [Inheritor of the Azure Path]."
