Chapter 4002  Challenge of Teamwork III

Chapter 4002  Challenge of Teamwork III

We moved with stealth, with our soul sense spreading around us to look for any threat.

To us, everyone is a threat. Every team will gun for us, kill us, so they can move up the ladder; it is just them, but also each other.

It is why one could see a space between us. Nobody invaded that space.

I am being cautious right now. I hope, at least my teammates won't attack me, but I am ready for their attacks.

Each of them is powerful, but I am strong enough to survive anything they might throw at me.

Hun!

As we moved, I felt something from Anna, she seemed familiar to me.

So, I collected a faint spec of her aura with my string, which is quite hard, since she is using stealth.

As added the aura in thing. Her identity is revealed.

"This is why, I felt familiar," I thought, but didn't do anything. Though, I am surprised, at how powerful she has become.

She wasn't this powerful the last time we met.

Our destination is not close; it is too far either, but reaching there might not be easy. My soul waves have already discovered three teams, at various distances away from us.

"There is a team on the left," informed Hayat, a minute and a half later.

Her sensory powers are good. She is using a method similar to the soul waves that increase her range, and it is also quite sneaky.

Though it couldn't be compared to mine.

Over twenty minutes passed, and we had reached our destination when the girl's expression turned serious. Not just hers, but also of others, only mine remained neutral.

There are various teams around us, even behind us.

"Should we stay or move?" asked Iarys. "We will have to fight, eventually. We might as well start soon," said Aros and nobody objected.

So, we moved forward.

It surprised me a little, as I thought we would go a long way. Seeing the team in front of us is the strongest; their members are in the top fifty.

Soon they sensed us. One of their members tried to move us excited but stopped.

A second later, they spread their soul sense and contacted the two other teams in their range and these teams moved toward them.

"Looks like Hyenas gathering numbers to meet us," said Iarys with a grin.

Nobody is surprised by that. The people are smart; they know how dangerous it would be to meet us alone. So, they are taking the help from others.

Soon we reached them, with fifteen people waiting for us.

"Move away or you will be moved," warned Iarys as we reached a few hundred meters away from them.

"Here we were thinking about giving them a chance to leave on their own, but it seemed like, they don't want it," said the golden blond-haired woman as saber appeared in hand.

"We shouldn't waste our time much on these critters. Finish them as soon as possible; kill them, if necessary," said Iarys with expressions turned serious.

Weapons appeared at the hands of everyone.

The weapon that surprised me the most of the Fox Beastman's. It is not his weapons that surprised me, but seeing him wielding both hands.

He is a dual wielder.

His weapons are the dueling sabers. They are silvery in color, with beautiful murals carved on them.

The weapon has arrived in my hand too; it is a spear. With a wooden shaft and icy blue crystalline top.

"Attack!" said the blond woman and three teams came at us.

There was no formation on our part or anything. We simply moved toward the fifteen, with each of us having immense confidence in our abilities.

Hun!

Finally, the fifteen reached us and attacked. We responded, and it instantly made an eye of a few people go wide.

Clang Bang Clang!

The weapons clashed, and the difference became visible.

"I give up!" said the man with a goatee and disappeared instantly.

Giving up on this challenge.

He had no choice; the mustached man was going for the kill. He didn't want to injure; he wanted to kill. It is clear in his eyes and his attacks.

It is the same with Hayat and Iarys. They are going for the kills, like Aros and some members of other teams.

Clang Clang Clang!

My spear moved like a cold tornado and clashed against the three that came at me.

The clash seemed simple enough, but the moment my spear touched their weapons. Their eyes widened, and they shot back.

"This is a warning. Come at me again and I will kill you," I replied and turned to turn to my teammates to see, that half of the people had disappeared.

Including the one, who Hayat had nearly torn half of the neck with falchion.

"Monsters!" said the blond woman in shock as she wiped the blood of her lips in shock, before flying away with those who remained.

"Well, it didn't seem like, we would have any problem," said Iarys.

"Not likely. The strongest team is at the end of the top fifty. There is a team stronger than us, especially the one number five to ten," replied Hayat, shaking her head.

"We are powerful, but we should be careful. Especially of those in the top 20; they might pose a challenge to us," added Aros.

Nobody said anything to that, and we moved forward. A few minutes later, we stopped at the base of the hill.

"Where should be it?" asked Hayat, looking around.

"Aros, Anna, take the sky. Hayat, the ground while Hadis and I will take the trees," said Iarys.

Nobody said anything about the objection, and we moved to search for the mark.

The soul waves of everybody become stronger. Including mine, but we didn't find it. So we focus more with our eyes, trying to find the mark.

Boom Boom Boom

I began to check every nook and cranny while Hayat brought a huge group up and Iarys decided to vaporize the trees with his attacks.

"Found it," said Hayat a few seconds later.

I turned and saw a golden mark the size of a big medal with an emblem of the castle on it.

"It is still showing on the map," said Iarys. "I think, we should put it there," said Hayat and placed the mark on the golden circle on the map.

Immediately, the mark had fused with it and disappeared. Leaving only an emblem and a numeric one.
