Chapter 209 209. Isabelle.
Chapter 209 209. Isabelle.
Silence filled the hall. Most of the big shots in the hall were clearly from the higher part of society, but none of them was willing to throw away that amount of money for only thirty percent of a subsidiary company's shares.
Even though they were veterans, it would take around a year for them to earn back that kind of money, but Kevin was different though, he was going to make twice that amount before the end of the week.
This was clearly Kevin's win.
"Going once, going twice… Sold! The auction has come to a close as we have found our new business partner! A toast to Mr Kevin Lannister!!"
"Kevin Lannister!!"
"Kevin Lannister!!" The crowd cheered and Kevin raised his glass in acknowledgement as well.
He wasn't even surprised that Ned Baratheon knew his name. Ned Baratheon probably knew exactly how much was in his account and what color of boxers he was wearing tonight.
In short, Ned Baratheon had more connections in the city than any other person on the face of the earth. So, if he wanted to know everything about a person, all it took was one phone call.
A few murmurs could be heard around Kevin as a few people were interested in knowing who his father was.
Most of them were already familiar with some of the Lannisters in the higher echelon of society, so it wouldn't hurt for them to know if Kevin was the son of one of the big families in the city or if he was someone who single-handedly rose to the top of the food chain on his own.
But Kevin wasn't in the mood to answer any questions they might or might not have for him.
He turned around and saw Ned Baratheon and his wife walking down the stairs together to greet a few guests.
If he wanted to get closer to Ned Baratheon, this was his chance to do so now.
Kevin walked through the crowds before finally approaching Ned Baratheon and his wife.
But just before he could get close enough to talk to them, Ned Baratheon had already spotted him heading their way, so he placed a hand on his wife's shoulder before leaning down to whisper into her ear.
"He's heading towards us. You know what to do," He whispered before turning towards a guest that greeted him.
His wife nodded in understanding before turning her attention to the guest as well.
Right after they were done exchanging pleasantries, the guests walked away, giving Kevin the chance to speak to Ned Baratheon.
"Ah, if it isn't Mr Kevin Lannister. Allow me to introduce my wife and son," Ned stretched his hand forward for a handshake.
Kevin responded with the same kind gesture as he acquainted himself with Ned Baratheon's wife and son.
"This is my son and your new business partner, Jon Baratheon."
"It's an honor to meet you, Mr Kevin," Jon Baratheon brought his hand forward for a handshake.
He knew nothing about Kevin before their current meeting but he was smart enough to understand that Kevin wouldn't dump thirty million dollars for a 30% share of a subsidiary company if he wasn't rich.
This meant that Jon had to be on his best behavior to ensure a harmonious relationship between the two.
"It's great to meet you too."
Kevin replied before turning towards Ned's wife.
"And this here is my wife, Isabelle, who is also the current president of Dynamo Bottling Company."
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Mrs Baratheon," Kevin brought his hand forward to shake hers.
Even though she had a black oval eye mask on her face, Kevin could still see how beautiful she was.
After all, her perfect hourglass body was enough to draw out the perverted beast slumbering within every man.
Her beautiful violet-colored eyes also complimented her violet hair.
"The pleasure is all mine," Isabelle replied with a chuckle that was seductive enough to bewitch even the purest of saints.
This woman was simply outstanding!!! Her soft hands, her voice and even her smile were all lethal seductive tools capable of enslaving thousands of men.
Ned Baratheon called a waiter in their direction.
He served all four of them a drink and Ned Baratheon made a toast.
"Cheers to a fruitful and productive future partnership."
"Cheers!!!!"
Everyone gulped down their drinks but Ned Baratheon was the first to excuse himself from the rest of them. Jon also did the same, leaving Isabelle alone with Kevin.
[It looks like they're up to something.] The parasite suddenly spoke up.
'It seems so.'
'But I wonder why they would leave her alone with me,' Shortly after Kevin replied to the system in his mind, Isabelle's words pulled him out of his thoughts as she made a request.
"Um, do you mind accompanying me outside?"

A few minutes later, Kevin and Isabelle walked out of the hall and onto the veranda where Isabelle breathed in the cold night air before releasing a satisfied sigh.
"Although I've attended a couple of parties before this, I can't believe that I still find it difficult to mingle with everyone. I guess I do not like crowded spaces," Isabelle placed a hand on the railings while staring up at the night sky.
"I guess that makes two of us."
Isabelle smiled at his words before turning towards Kevin who was now standing beside her and staring at the stars in the sky as well.
"It's a shame I couldn't invite you here myself, but seeing that you're now business partners with my son, I feel like the least I could do is to get to know you better."
"How do you feel about having dinner with me in a few days?"
[Wow!! Isn't she a bold one?]
[Now, I can see why they left you two alone to get acquainted with each other.]
[However, this vixen clearly doesn't know who she's talking to.]
