Chapter 80 Under The Radar
"What are you talking about?" Emma asked, looking at him with a strange expression on her face.
"I was in this strange dream and I wasn't even there for more than an hour but...."
"Maybe you've slept for a long time before you started having the dream." She said,
"Yeah, maybe," Dave said.
There was a moment of silence between the two as they stared into each other's eyes.
"You have a morning run to complete," Emma said, without breaking eye contact with him.
"I think I'll skip it for today." He muttered before pulling her down on his body.
"I have to get to work Dave." She said with a slow and low voice.
"You still have a lot of time left." Dave said and just before she could say anything else, he locked her in a passionate kiss."
She wanted to resist not because she wanted to but because she knew that she didn't have a lot of time left just like he had said.
She gave into the kiss for a minute before quickly pulling away from it and getting up from his body.
"What's wrong?" Dave asked.
"Nothing's wrong." She said, shaking her head. "It's just that you're wrong."
"Huh?"
"I don't have a lot of time left, I have to be at work before 8:30 AM and I only have one hour left to make breakfast and get ready, doing this will mean that I'll get to work late." She said getting up from the bed.
"I can help you with breakfast."
"No." She said moving toward the door. "But do you know what you should do instead?"
"What?" Dave asked.
"Call the window installment people." She said before leaving through the door and closing it.
"Yeah, I should do that." He said before bringing his phone up to his view.
______ ______
'So you're saying that time moves really slow whenever I am in my dream like that.' Dave said subconsciously as he opened the door to his room.
<Yeah, that's why one hour in there turned into the whole night>
'So I was awake all night playing a match against Real Madrid.'
<Your subconscious was playing a match against Real Madrid while your body was resting that's why you don't feel tired>
'Okay, but I have to be considerate of how much time I spend there if one hour can sun up to about seven hours.'
<Yeah, you should>
He scanned the room with his eyes to see that everything was still the way he left them which meant that nobody had broken into the house last night.
After confirming that nothing had happened in the room last night, he carried the pieces of gym equipment back to the room where he was keeping them.
"I'm skipping the run for today but I cannot skip this quest." He said with his gaze fixed on the fridge in the room.
He walked to the fridge and opened it to bring out his special two liters of bottled water.
It didn't take him long to consume the whole content; he dropped the container on the floor as usual.

He didn't want to disturb Emma so he waited upstairs for her to finish what she was doing in the kitchen.
He was lying on his bed going through his phone when Emma entered the room.
"Hey, breakfast is ready if you're hungry." She said before making her way to the wardrobe.
The door blocked him from seeing anything as she quickly pulled off her clothes and turned to face him with a brown towel tied around to see that he was still on the bed and was facing her now.
"You're not hungry?" She said,
"No, I am hungry, it's just that I'm more hungry for something else." He said looking at her from head to toe.
"Go downstairs and eat, maybe that hunger for something else will go away." She said before making her way out of the room.

Inside the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt Germany, the president of Eintracht Frankfurt along with other members of the club were all gathered in the meeting room to talk about a lot of things.
The team's manager was part of the meeting today as one of the main focuses of the meeting was going to be transfers and with him being the coach, they wanted to hear his opinion.
"I heard that Zinin is considering a move out of Barcelona this summer, he's a good winger, and adding him to the squad will really boost our attack." The coach said, looking directly at the president who was sitting opposite him at the other end.
"Are you sure he wants to move because I haven't heard anything like that?" The president asked.
"He hasn't made it public yet but I have a very reliable inside source." The coach said.
"Okay." The president said.
"Is his contract expiring this season or he just wants to leave?" One of the board members asked.
"He will have one year left in his contract come this summer."
"And what's his release clause?"
"A hundred million euros." The coach said.
"That's quite a lot." Another board member said.
"For a player like Zinin, it's not, he was a sensation back at Dortmund and he's been doing great the few minutes that he gets to play for Barcelona, the reason why he wants to leave is that he plays the same position as Ciro and that makes it hard for him to get any playing time."
"We are not making any decisions yet but we'll keep him under our radar." The president said.
"What about a goalkeeper?" The only female in the meeting asked. "Gerdino is retiring next season so we'll need a replacement goalkeeper as his backup also wants to leave at the end of the season."
"Do you have any suggestions?" The president asked, turning his gaze to the coach.
"There are a lot of choices but I think Dave Richards will be a good option." The coach said.
"The one from Unique FC?" One of the board members asked.
"Yeah, him." The coach said.
"You know that his performance has been poor right?" The female said
"Yeah, but I've been following his latest matches and he's been improving." The coach said.
"A few lucky performances doesn't make him a good goalkeeper." The president said.
"Those performances weren't lucky, but you're right, he isn't a good goalkeeper yet." The coach said. "I'm not asking you to declare any interest in him, just keep an eye out for him in the future, he's a very young player and has a lot of room for improvement."
"You should also send scouts to monitor to make sure we're not making a mistake." Another member of the board said.
"Yeah, send scouts." The coach said.
"Okay, Jonah, we'll put him under our radar, that's the only promise I will be making for now." The president said.
"That's the only promise I need, for now, thank you." The coach said.
