My Son Might Be A Villain

Chapter 38: Parent-Teacher Conference (2)

Chapter 38: Parent-Teacher Conference (2)

We have just finished midterm examination at school and the grades and ranking have been released. There will be a school-wide parent-teacher conference this coming Monday. I trust that Su Han has mentioned it to you already? asked Teacher Wang.

Su Ran: Not exactly

Well, we hadnt received your confirmation in our group, so I thought Id call to confirm with you. Oh, speaking of, Su Hans mom, you havent been added to our classs parents group yet, have you?

Thats right.

Ill add you to my WeChat in a bit and invite you to our group. We normally post some school work, important announcements, and grades to the group. Is your WeChat ID the same as your cell number?

Mmm, yes.

Alright, I will add you in a little bit. Since you have just returned, there are a few other items we need to talk about but we can go into the details during the parent-teacher conference on Monday, said Teacher Wang.

As Su Han had always been vague in the way he explained it and that he didnt talk much in school, Teacher Wang assumed that his parents worked out of town and had recently returned to City Bei.

Mmm. Okay. I will be there on Monday. Thanks for letting me know.

After hanging up the phone, the first thing Su Ran did was to save the callers number as Sons Class Teacher. She then raised her brows at the new message that had just come in through Wechat.

Aiyo, parent-teacher conference huh?

Su Ran had a feeling that this was what Su Han wanted to talk to her about last night.

As for why he didnt finish saying what he wanted to say, she had no idea. It couldnt be that he dislikes her, right?

Su Ran subconsciously ruled out that possibility.

Shed just assume that her villain son was being shy.

That being said, regardless of how Su Han felt about this, Su Ran was determined to attend the parent-teacher conference on Monday.

The call from Su Hans Class Teacher temporarily interrupted Su Rans thought about matters concerning Shengding.

Shed just have to chalk it up as Shengding receiving too many emails a day and hasnt yet seen the one from her.

What Su Ran didnt know was: not only was the status of her mail read, the 10 pieces of sample that she had attached were sitting on the desk of the Director of Operations.

Unfortunately, the signature on there wasnt Su Ran.

Lin Xiaoxiao, I have listened to the few compositions that youve put on my desk. They are quite good. Plus, I have shown them to our gold-medal composer Master Liu. He kept saying how talented you are after he had listened to them! said Director Zhou to Lin XiaoXiao with a smile after he had called her into his office.

Lin XiaoXiao was dropped into her department by those from above about six months ago. She had always been quiet and not noticeable.

That day, Lin XiaoXiao handed her the USB drive and said those were some pieces that she had put together. She asked her to have some master take a listen and maybe offer her some advice. She happened to be heading over to that department and decided to bring it with her.

She didnt put too much thought into it, but unexpectedly, as soon as they started playing the music from the USB drive, everybody, herself included, were stunned by them. Especially Liu BoGuang, who was known to be difficult, played the ten pieces over and over again for some 20 times before he grabbed her by her arms and said they must recruit this talent from them excitedly.

He even griped that I have stifled your talent, said Director Zhou, feigning to be disgruntled.

Our music department liked your 10 songs a lot. They match the current trend very well. If we are to publish them, they could very well become extremely popular as the leading track on an album or as singles, said Director Zhou.

Such were the exact words of producer Liu BoGuang. To her surprise, Lin XiaoXiao had been so lowkey this entire time, but was in fact so talented.

Plus, as soon as we played the 10 pieces, a few of the producers and agents who were present at the time had already called dibs on them. If Music Department hadnt stepped in, they would all be divvied up by now.

Is that true? Lin XiaoXiao was quite emotional herself as well.

She was helping her colleague out that day in clearing out the emails and happened to come across these 10 pieces. She downloaded them as she thought they were quite good, which was also why she had asked Director Zhou to take them to the Music Department.

At the same time, she deleted the original email.

She wasnt the only one whod pull a stunt like that. She had heard that some colleagues would intercept decent music pieces, small scripts, etc. and pass them off as their own work. Even if they were passed over, they could still be sold to other smaller studios.

At the end of the day, their company received such a massive amount of mails everyday that the higher ups didn't really care much about them.
