Chapter 72: The Secret
To this, David thought all men agreed.
A man cannot think of being easily accepted by a wealthy prospective mother-in-law, but David was not only accepted, he was even given more.
"You are the wife of a member of the Rothschild Family. Even though your husband has died, your status is still the same. Don't you pity your husband who is in the afterlife?" asked David, suddenly wanting to know her thoughts.
That made Evelyn smile brightly.
Men were unlikely to try to know a woman's thoughts at her age unless they were already very interested.
"Trust me, no woman would love a man from that family. All they love is their wealth," Evelyn replied casually. "It's not that I only want my husband's money, but now that he's dead, I'm free to do whatever I want."
"Aren't there many men your age? Men like that are more suitable for you," David said.
"No, they are not, I don't like old men, I prefer a young man who is just starting out in life. Only then, my relationship with a man can be considered to start from ground zero."
David, "..."
"I think I'd like to go home now, and ask Jane that secret in person. I'm not ready to go crazy with you right now," he said.
"Does that mean you're ready to go crazy with me later?" she asked in response.
"Maybe," David answered honestly, causing Evelyn to laugh.
"You don't have to wait for later because the sooner the better," she said. "If you want to go home, how about I come to your house?"

From her gaze, David saw a kind of strong determination. He didn't need to think to know that this woman would actually follow him home. His instinct even told him that he wouldn't be able to stop her.
'Is it my life's destiny after gaining the power that made this woman become like this?' David wondered but then he realized that it was not because of his life's destiny.
This woman was crazy from the start as she had shown since they started communicating.
A woman as good as Jane could have a mother like this.
Of course, the elite world might be more suitable to be blamed as the overly high life eventually created unrestrained people.
While David was silent, the woman waved to a servant carrying a tray containing many cups where each cup was full of alcoholic beverages.
"Put that over there," Evelyn said to the servant, glancing at the table beside them.
The servant didn't refuse, she placed the tray on the table before leaving.
Instantly, David could smell the dense aroma of alcohol, each drink clearly stronger than the wine he had just drunk.
Surprisingly at this time, he was interested in drinking more.
"Come on, keep drinking," Evelyn said and took a cup for him.
Since there was a desire to drink, so he took the cup from her.
After that, he drank right away, not caring about the taste of the drink. He finished it in one gulp.
His eyes became blurry for a moment, and when his eyes became clear, it was his mind that became blurry.
Evelyn also drank, and she even had two cups.
The scent of alcohol emanated from her breath, increasing the desire of the man who was breathing the air from her breath.
As he became more and more drunk, David's arms hugged her even tighter so that her breasts pressed firmly against his chest.
David also became sweaty as the air around was very warm plus the alcohol warmed his body and blood.
The loud music that kept echoing sent his mind drifting everywhere.
"It's nice, isn't it, hugging your beautiful mother-in-law?" said Evelyn with her left eye blinking.
"Yes!" David did not argue with that. Even his hands became bolder, caressing her round ass.
"T-tell me Jane's secret now," he said in a trembling tone, having some difficulty speaking.
Perhaps feeling sorry to see David in heat, Evelyn suddenly undid the top three buttons of his shirt so that part of his chest was revealed.
"I'll tell you now," she said.
It seemed that she did not mind telling David now as she was sure he would not leave after she told him the secret.
David's seemingly blank eyes stared into hers, waiting for her words.
She kept smiling as she finally told the secret. "Jane's personality can change over a period of time. She can be an open-minded and gentle woman who accepts things that happen around her well, but she can also be a woman who likes to impose her will or even be grumpy. This is not a type of split personality, but a side effect of her power so that at certain times her nature will be different.
There is no exact time when the change occurs, and it is hard to guess if her nature has changed because on the surface she always seems calm. To be sure, if you see certain things from her, such as her being jealous, it means that she is really very jealous, and if she doesn't seem to react to your mistakes, it means that she is indeed in an open mind so she forgives your mistakes directly."
After hearing all that, David's rather blank eyes suddenly lit up. His mind became clearer as he suddenly realized something.
"So that's it," he said in a tone that sounded like he wasn't drunk.
Evelyn realized that David's thoughts had alleviated the effects of his hangover. When one becomes a Spiritual Being, something like this is quite common as through thoughts, power can activate suddenly, and that power then stabilizes the body's condition.
Of course, this scenario only happened because David had such deep feelings for Jane that things about her could drastically affect his mind.
Evelyn even felt David's embrace on her body loosen.
David's love for Jane didn't make her so happy, but the lessening of David's embrace made her rather upset.
"David," she said in a soft voice, exhaling her fragrant breath to him.
In a situation like this, she would not let David continue to think of anything other than her.
