Chapter 82
C82 – Super Anshensan Pill
Following instructions, Jiang Hao opened the bottle and tipped out 15 pills.
The pills were no bigger than toy gun pellets, so 15 didn’t seem like much.
Jiang Hao was just about to pop them into his mouth when he suddenly paused.
“Ding! 15 Anshen Pills detected. Would you like to combine them?”
Jiang Hao’s curiosity was instantly ignited.
“What will these pills combine into?”
Without a second thought, Jiang Hao commanded,
“Combine!”
“Ding… Congratulations to the host for a successful synthesis. You’ve obtained one Super Anshen Pill, 0.9 skill points, and 0.9 experience points.”
Super Anshen Pill: One pill is all it takes for effectiveness. Not even an earthquake could keep you awake!
“Do you wish to extract it?”
Jiang Hao had been eager, but the description left him momentarily stunned and at a loss for words.
It seemed the system had developed a sense of humor!
“Seriously, if there’s an actual earthquake, is this thing going to let me sleep through my own demise?”
Jiang Hao couldn’t help but be amused by his system.
But now the question was, to take the pill or not?
Feeling uncertain, Jiang Hao voiced his concern.
“System, this pill isn’t going to put me into an eternal slumber, is it?”
“Rest assured, host. The effects will meet your expectations!”
Reassured by the system’s guarantee, Jiang Hao relaxed.
“Extract!”
At Jiang Hao’s command, a lustrous pill materialized in his hand, roughly the size of his thumb.
After swallowing the pill, he prepared for bed.
The lights off, he lay down and closed his eyes.
Soon after, the sound of even breathing filled the room as Jiang Hao drifted into a sound sleep.
The night passed uneventfully.
The next morning, just past five, Jiang’s father and mother rose early, as did Jiang Zixuan.
Yet there was no sign of Jiang Hao stirring.
This left his parents bewildered.
Their whole family was accustomed to rising at this time, with the siblings heading to school and the couple setting up their morning stall.
Jiang Hao was not one to oversleep!
“Zixuan, go wake up your brother. He was just complaining about not being able to sleep last night!”
Jiang’s mother called out while she tidied up around the house.
Jiang Zixuan’s eyebrows knit together slightly, but obediently, she headed for Jiang Hao’s room.
Knock, knock, knock.
No response. Jiang Zixuan opened the door and entered.
She found Jiang Hao sprawled out on the bed, resembling a lifeless pig.
Jiang Zixuan hesitated, but ultimately nudged Jiang Hao.
“Brother, time to get up!”
Despite her repeated shaking, there was no response.
A sense of dread washed over Jiang Zixuan as her mind raced with troubling thoughts.
Panic-stricken, her voice quivering, she called out for her parents.
“Mom, Dad, hurry! Something’s wrong with brother—he won’t wake up no matter how much I call him!”
Upon hearing this, Jiang’s father and mother’s faces turned pale. They dropped what they were doing and rushed to the scene.
“Dad, Mom, what’s happened to him?”
Jiang Zixuan’s face was etched with worry as she looked at her parents.
Jiang’s father and mother quickly reached Jiang Hao’s side, touching his forehead.
“Hao! Hao!”
But still, there was no response.
In the midst of the panic, Jiang’s father remained composed. He gave the orders.
“I’ll carry Jiang Hao. You, call for a car. We need to get Hao to the hospital, fast!”
With that, Jiang’s father pulled Jiang Hao from under the covers and began dressing him. Jiang’s mother, prompted by a reminder, snapped to attention and dialed for help.
Just as Jiang’s father finished dressing Jiang Hao and was ready to carry him to the hospital, Jiang Hao groggily came to.
However, seeing his parents and Jiang Zixuan in such a state of distress, he couldn’t help but feel bewildered.
