Chapter 99
C99 – Business Boomed
At that moment, Jiang Hao watched the trio’s reactions after they finished their special Yang Spring Noodle Soup and had an epiphany.
Worried that they might probe further, Jiang Hao quickly stepped in to defuse the situation.
“Perhaps it’s just your imagination. If you all enjoyed my noodles, I’d be delighted to have you back again!”
……
Once Jiang Hao had seen the three patrons off, he dove into another busy spell.
By mid-morning, the ingredients Jiang’s father had prepared over the last two days were nearly depleted!
During this time, Jiang Hao whipped up a variety of dishes, each with its own unique attribute—some boosted energy, others enhanced fragrance, some increased strength, and a few even improved speed…
Outside the Jiang Family restaurant, the queue of people was growing longer and longer, drawn by the enticing aromas wafting from inside.
After a hectic morning and with supplies running low, Jiang Hao decided it was time to close up shop for the day.
He also contemplated revising the prices of his culinary creations.
As a descendant of the God Chef, his dishes weren’t just ordinary—they possessed special qualities! Charging only seven yuan for a bowl of noodles seemed undervalued.
Moreover, the low prices were attracting too many customers, more than he could handle on his own!
He also planned to introduce a few new items to the menu.
After discussing with Jiang’s father, they agreed it was time to close for the day.
Emerging from the kitchen, Jiang’s father faced the still-waiting crowd with a look of regret.
“Sorry, folks, we’ve run out of ingredients for today. We appreciate your support!”
The moment Jiang’s father’s words fell, a collective groan rose from the crowd.
“Ah, I’ve waited so long—how can it be gone?”
“Same here, I haven’t even had a bite yet!”
……
But there was nothing to be done. Jiang’s father could only offer his apologies before sending the disappointed customers away and heading back to clean up the kitchen.
Shortly after the crowd dispersed, a black Land Rover raced up and parked at the curb.
The car door swung open, and out stepped an elegant woman in her late twenties, dressed in a black uniform. She then gently lifted an adorable little girl from the passenger seat.
The young, beautiful woman scanned her surroundings, seemingly in search of something. Her gaze quickly settled on the Jiang Family Noodle Shop. She then took the hand of the little girl beside her and headed toward the restaurant.
Xia Qin observed the quiet Jiang Family Noodle Shop with a hint of confusion. She pulled out her phone, brought up a photo, and approached Jiang’s mother, who was tidying up outside. Handing her the phone, she inquired, “Excuse me, is this Yang Chun Noodle Soup in the picture from your Jiang Family restaurant?”
Jiang’s mother looked up, a flicker of surprise in her eyes. Upon seeing the picture in Yang Han’s hand, her face lit up with a proud smile. “Yes, indeed, and what’s more, my son is the one who made it!”
“But you’re a bit late, sister. We’ve already closed for the day,” she added.
Xia Qin’s anxiety rose at the news. “But sister, it’s not even noon yet. Why have you closed so early?”
Jiang’s mother chuckled. “Well, my son’s cooking is just too good. We sold out of two days’ worth of ingredients this morning alone!”
With that explanation, Xia Qin understood the situation. She glanced at her daughter, who appeared disheartened and a bit pale, and her heart sank. “Oh no, what do we do now?”
Then, turning back to Jiang’s mother, she pleaded, “Could you possibly make an exception and have your son prepare a bowl of Yang Chun Noodle Soup for my daughter? I’m willing to go out and buy any ingredients you need myself!”
