244. War start
A week had gone by since the summit and things were getting… fun. The Kages had tried a quick attack against ame using elite units which ended in disaster. Pain had annihilated over two thirds of the troops with a single attack while the rest got killed by a swarm of white zetsus.
Now the Kages stood inside the aliance’s HQ sending troops where they needed to contain the flood of zetsus attacking. To make matters worse, the white beings didn’t only come from within ame but also from their own lands. Pockets of zetsus would suddenly apear around their lands forcing them to divert troops to intercept them.
“Raikage-sama, another group has been spotted in the land of stone. They are currently moving towards, Fuguruki village!” Everyone in the room wanted to curse. They were being spread thin with losses mounting up.
“Send squad thirty seven to intercept.” A was stressed, he knew that with each command his forces dwindles. He wanted to go there, be there in person and support the troops, he also knew he shouldn’t.
Ever since the start of the conflict Akatsuki has remained elusive. None of its members have appeared in the battlefield themselves. If any of the Kages were to engage they would be using up their energy and chakra by which point, Akatsuki could attack them in their weakened state.
“No need, I’ve got this.” Suddenly everyone turned to see Tomoka standing there with a group of people dressed in strange armor. It didn’t take long before this group set up a bunch of strange machines that quickly unfolded to show a bunch of screens.
“Ayame, send the angel to deal with that group please.” A woman with short black hair quickly gave a nod before speaking onto a small radio device. It was at this moment that those present finally reacted.
“Tomoka! Where have you been! Didn’t you say that you would help!” A was incensed that had lost so many troops in the last day and only now this girl dares appear.
“Well, I am sorry for being late but yall forgot to invite me for your little sneak attack. I was busy getting my shit in order.” A lie, of course Tomoka was lying. She had known about the attack, her troops had been in place for a long time. She just wanted to make them suffer a little for not inviting her. A was about to continue complaining until the woman Ayame spoke before he could.
“The angel has been deployed, we’ve got a visual commander.” On the massive screen the top down sight of a plain flying above a sea of white zetsu could be seen.
“Good, show them why the AC-130 is known as the angel of death.” That was all Tomoka said as the plane began firing towards the white zetsu. The Kage’s could do nothing but watch in shock as the plane delivered death from above at an incredible rate.
“Heh, that should be enough to deal with at least half of them. Send squad delta for the clean up job please.” Once more hearing Tomoka’s command Ayame began talking into the device. Moments later the plane left, being replaced by what looked like fast moving objects in a collision course with the ground in front of the remainder of the zetsus.
Once the cloud of dust those objects left from impact dissipated the Kages could see individuals in full body armor climbing out of the strange objects. Then the true massacre began as the five soldiers in power armor began mowing down the zetsus using weapons the kages had never seen before.
“Sir! We have a large concentration of troops moving towards the Kumo front line! three thousand of them” A cringed as he understood that things were bad. That front line was barely holding on. Now with a reinforcement of three thousand troops chances were the line would be broken through.
“Ayame, deploy speed-demon to that front line.” Once again those present watched as the woman spoke into the comms unit, a moment later the giant water ball used by the Yamanaka clan to keep track of things rippled violently.
“Kage level chakra signature detected in the Kumo front line!” One the Yamanakas shouted as the screen changed to show the said front line. It quickly zoomed in showing a single person covered in a magenta chakra cloak.
“Tomoka, can I go all out?” Hinata’s voice could be heard by everyone present coming out of the speakers in the communication’s setup.
“First of all, call me commander, second, request granted speed-demon give them hell.” Once the that was said Hinata disappeared from the camera’s sight as white zetsu began exploding by the hundreds. With a quick flick of a few instruments Ayame divided the screen, one showing things in real time while the other reproduced a slowed down version.
In the slowed down version Hinata could be seen moving at normal speed while everyone else looked frozen in time. She still sprinted around punching and kicking white zetsus with efficient movements. Her Ember celica shooting blasts off as quickly as Hinata punches, shredding her enemies. After ten seconds Hinata stopped, steam coming from her back. With practiced languid movements she reloaded her weapons of choice before speaking into her comms.
“The sandy is overheating, I will need a bit to let it cool off.” Having said her part, Hinata moved once more. This time her speed was like that of an elite jounin instead of the ridiculous speed she had displayed before. That didn’t mean she wasn’t dangerous.
Each of her punches resulted in shockwaves of power as her chakra cloak, gorilla arms combo delivered devastating blows. After a while Hinata disappeared once again, re-engaging her sandevistan Hinata moved eliminating her foes with the same is of a farmer reaping wheat.
A and Tsunade watched in horror as Hinata went about her grim work. The girl moved faster than the Raikage while hitting harder than Tsunade. They couldn’t help but wonder what would happen should they fight her.
“How?” Finally Onoki asked in disbelief. He could use his dust release to kill pretty much anything, the problem is hitting the foe. In his old age, Onoki didn’t believe even for a second that he could win against the monster on screen.
“Cybernetics, Hinata is sporting a sandevistan alongside gorilla arms. The former makes her faster, the latter stronger. I told you all my tech is way beyond what any of you could muster.” Tomoka explained with a note of pride in her voice while hiding a few things. Like the demerits of cybernetics, they didn’t need to know about those.
“Sir! A new force has been detected in the land of fire! two thousand strong, we don’t have any squad close enough to intercept! They are going for a pincer attack on the back lines of the land of fire frontline!” At that the Kages turned towards Tomoka wondering if she would deal with this one as well. Seeing their expressions, Tomoka just shrugged before speaking.
“Ayame send the grimm-reaper.” Once more Ayame spoke into her communication piece and a moment later another kage level chakra signature appeared in the detection water ball.
“Grimm-reaper, you have permission to go all out.” At that the screen that had changed to show the new location was illuminated for a moment. As the camera refocused those present saw that the entire zetsu force was trapped within a massive hole multiple kilometers wide. Not only that but quite a few of the monsters had been crushed into pulp against the ground.
“Though I would get them all with that one, oh well, more fun for me.” Nozomi’s voice came from the comm’s speakers as she appeared amongst the still living zetsu. Crescent rose in hand Nozomi began mowing those still alive with relish.
That is until the many zetsu remaining began running and amalgamating into a giant mass of white flesh. A few seconds later a giganting zetsu a hundred meters tall came to being as it tried to crush Nozomi using its giant fist.
“Would you look at that, how fun.” Once again Nozomi’s voice came from the comes as a bright magenta chakra construct in the form of an arm stopped the giant zetsu’s fist. In an instant a Nozomi activated her susanoo as a giant made of magenta chakra appeared holding a scythe like her crescent rose.
The Kages couldn’t help but wince as the giant moved with unnatural speed cutting the giant zetsu into ribbons using her weapon of choice. Each slice left behind magenta flames that consumed what little remained of the white flesh.
A moment later the image on the screen changed back to that of Hinata. This time instead of just punching the zetsus around she began using her own dojutsu. That is when the true carnage began as Zetsus began falling upwards before being slammed against the ground. Some would fall towards each other while some would simply be ripped apart as the force of gravity pulled different parts of their body into different directions.
The zetsus weren’t the only ones being affected as pieces of the ground would also start flying around slamming and killing more of the monsters. The battlefield became a choreography of control chaos with Hinata as the director.
It was then that new players appeared on both battlefields. First on Nozomi’s side appeared none other than Itachi accompanied by Kisame and the artistic duo of Sasori and Deidara. On Hinata’s side Hidan and Kakuzu appear accompanied by Obito and someone that wasn’t on the files.
The stranger wore a mask, white with black birds painted on it alongside yellow lines on top. Seeing it would make one think of caged birds. Seeing the stranger made Tomoka’s calm smile grow into a wicked malevolent grin.
“Speed-demon, Grimm-reaper, you are cleared to engage at your leisure.” The girls didn't need more than that for them to begin the fight.
