Rebirth: Over the Horizon

With the previous fights and constant use of [Aura Purification], his MP reduced below 40%.

After recovering his MP with a [Greater MP Potion] he continued to march forward inside the dark cave. 

After a while, Adam was standing before the steps which seemed like it will take him to the upper floors. 

The process of reaching here wasn't that easy, he encountered 13 skeletal gladiator groups as the first one. 

At this point of time, it was more like a grinding than completing the quest.

Adam also lost a quite large amount of HP, it was already down to 58%.

After recovering it with potions, Adam smiled slightly, and with confidence and calmness, he entered the entrance to the third floor of the crypt.

 He closed his eyes, and there was no sound of weapon collision on this floor. 

This means that there will be no more undead units, after assessing the situation for a minute.

Adam opened his eyes and walked inside the third floor.

Different from the darkness of the first and second floors, the third floor does not appear to be so spacious, and at the same time, there was no bottomless darkness. 

The were many dark dark purple lights, which illuminated the floor, but the so-called illumination was also very limited, and many places were still full of shadows.

A transparent pedestal with a white light circle quietly illuminated a bench that was residing a few meters away from him. 

A young girl in a dark purple gorgeous robe was sleeping in the beam of light. She suspended there quietly, but he was able to see her unstable breathing. 

Adam is not a thief, and has no such skills as "reconnaissance". But he still had the memories and experiences from his previous life. 

'This has to be the chamber of the crypt, either that girl should be the final boss or the final boss should be hiding somewhere here.'

Adam cursed in his mind, 'Who wants that damn old man's recognition!' 

"Booom..." 

Suddenly a dark purple beam of light came out extremely fast towards his face from an unknown direction. 

"Earth Hands." 

Adam hastily casted the [Earth Hads], even though the two giant hands successfully formed a shield before him. 

The beam of light was very sharp and extremely fast, it broke the two giants hands which were overlapped each other and came out of it. 

Luckily, due to tot the little bit of time he got from the earth hands, Adam dogged the beam at a breath gap. 

Sure enough, there was a deep scratch on his cheek and blood was trickling out of it. 

'I think...this wound was just caused by the wind it came pulling along...' 

As he thought in his mind, his eyes started to quickly run around the surroundings to find who released this kind of spell. 

A skeletal figure was floating high in the air, almost touching the ceiling of the crypt, a light golden halo shines under the feet of the floating monster. 

After a moment, the air beside it rippled and two more high-level skeletons appeared.

The skeleton mage that earlier attacked him also become a little dazed and didn't react at all.

'So...is it affected by the skill side-effect?' 

"I should use this chance...Flame Erupt." 

The fiery red coloured magic circle formed under the feet of the skeleton which appeared to be still in its dazed state.

"Fushh..." 

Flame erupted and filled the air like water but at that moment..."Ma..gic.. Nul..lify.." 

Both of the newly appeared skeletons spoke at the same time and raised their hands towards his spell. 

With a white puff, the blazing flames were sucked into their bony hands. 

The boss mage recovered, the light golden spirit fire in its head jumped violently, and then it began to swing its staff to release its skills.

"Tox..in..Arr..ow.." 

As the skeleton said with a trembling voice, a magic circle with green glyphs on it formed before it and four green colour arrows came rushing towards Adam. 

"Fluid Barrier" 

Adam casted one of the most basic spells, even though he swirled to the side, two out four arrows still hit him. 

Thankfully, his shield was sturdy enough and there wasn't any change in his HP bar. 

But the offensive of the huge skeleton mage did not stop there. 

It waved its staff, and an unknown skill was released. 

"Poi..sion. Bone..pie...rce"

Then a light golden halo appeared under Adam. One by one, pale golden white bone claws protruded from the aperture. 

Adam attempted to jump out of the golden colour range but, his legs didn't cooperate with him. 

"Bony...hands..." 

Two bony hands were clapping his feet together and making him unable to move. 

'It seems like I am trapped.' 

The sharp bones which came from the golden magic circle pierced his two feet and successively his knees and tighs.

 At this time, Adam's HP value dropped sharply by about 25%.

"Ting...Ting"

Destroying the skeletal hands with his successive attack from Abyss Angel he rolled to the side and kneeled on one leg to catch his breath. 

The spiritual fire of the giant skeleton mage jumped violently, seemingly taken aback. 

'Even if I summoned my golems Or Medusa, it will be no use.' 

Adam first planned to fight the boss alongside his golems but, because he was flying. 

Even if he did summon his Ice golems, they will be of no use. 

The skeletal boss raised its staff to release another skill, but Adam cast a spell before the monster. 

"Cyro-freeze" 

A layer of ice formed throughout the air and quickly took a shape of solid ice and frosted the area from where he was standing to the skeletal mage's body. 

Even though it was in its frosted state, its eyes seemed like they can swallow him up the whole. 

Without wasting time, Adam quickly climbed up on the slippery surface of the ice, the frozen area served him as a bridge to reach the floating skeletons. 

After reaching the top point he first smashed the heads of the two sidekick skeletons while standing on the head of the boss. 

Without wasting a second he quickly changed the trajectory of his attack and smashed the boss monster's skull. 

The timing was perfect, as soon as he smashed its head the frozen area started to melt and disappear. 

With a light puff, he landed on the ground safely, "Ha...Ha..." 

While he was catching his breath a notification popped up before him.
