Rebirth: Over the Horizon

"Wh...why are you doing t-this?"

A woman trembled on the floor clutching her throat which was slit open.

"Because...I have to do so."

The young man's face was painted with blood, "Fire this place."

He said to a woman beside him and walked out of the small hut.

---3 Hours before---

Adam woke up because of the commotion outside the village, "What happened?"

"A group of Orge has invaded the village."

"What?"

Adam was surprised, there is not even a 1% chance of Orge appearing here because he has already travelled through the island's forest when he looked for dryads.

Orge's weren't like normal beasts, they are monsters with intelligence and will move on groups and live in settlements.

If they had appeared out of nowhere, then it means only one, 'This attack is deliberate.'

"Has it finally started?" Adam muttered under his breath.

[You can now move and kill the other chosen.]

[Those who you think can convince, you are free to spare them]

As soon as he received the order from 'Hecate', he started to move.

Adam didn't plan to fight with these monsters, it was obviously Hecate's forces.

As expected, even if he walked upfront before them, Adam was just ignored.

He quickly called Velara and colosson, they are the only one's he can convince and bring them to his side.

Although both of them are meat-head, sometimes having human shields are also not troubling.

"Hey, heard you called me? What's the matter?"

Just as she said, another voice overlapped Valera's words.

"For what reason, you required for this great colosson's presence."

His voice was as haughty as ever, but Adam didn't care, 'He's soon going to become my underlining or a cold corpse.'

"The reason I called you two is because I have something to say."

"What?"

Both the meat shields voices overlapped at each other's words.

"My mission to kill the chosen and: I am going to execute it now."

He is voice was calm and cold, just like he was talking normally but the room froze at his words and Velara squeezed the sword at her hip, unknowingly.

"Why?"

It was one word, but it had a lot of questions in it. "Because it's my mission."

"I know from my experience that, you won't do anything without gain. So, please tell me 'why'."

"Fufu, it's surprising that in this short amount of time you understood my attitude."

Adam smiled brightly, but it delivered, even more, chills for Velara and even Colosson.

"I see. You seem to have no intention of telling me the answer." Velara gulped her saliva and asked, "Then, at least tell me, why you revealed it to us."

"Let's see, because I have taken a liking to both of you, and want you both to become my underlinings."

"Ha...Do you expect me, the great colosson, to become your underlining?"

His voice was as haughty as ever but, now it contains a bit of fear in it.

"If not...You will DIE."

"..."

The room trembled with loud noises from outside, but it was even worse inside the small hut.

"I am not some religious pest." Velara was the first to speak, "I can join you, but how will you go against God's wrath."

Adam snorted, "It will be taken care of by Hecate, we don't have to worry about that."

"What..."

Both of them had nothing to say, they simply nodded and bowed their head to Adam.

"Good."

"Let's kill."

Crackle...Crackle... Fwosssh...

The fire burned down the whole village without leaving behind a single object. 

Tears dropped out of the villager's eyes, the people who once looked at him with admiration, now only looked with fear. 

Adam also felt a little bit of guilt, but it soon disappeared, when he thought of the skills he will receive after this.

After a few minutes, a dark light formed out of the space before the there and a beautiful women walked out of it.

She wore a bright smile on her face, but that's only that, her aura was hideous and evil, her presence gave an ominous feeling to the people around her.

"Fufufu You have really achieved an amazing feat."

"Not as much as you."

Adam was speaking with her casually, but other two couldn't maintain their composure.

"Hahaha...As expected of you, well I don't like to drag things out."

As Hecate said she raised her hand and staff appeared, at the peak of the staff there was a crescent moon and half sun.

"As of now, you are the Apostle of one of the great goddess Hecate."

The next moment, Adam also received the system's notification.

[You have become the apostle of Hecate, goddess of good and evil.]

God 2: Hecate

God 3: ---]

"You have done well, my apostle~"

"I have also prepared a gift for you. Enjoy your time living hehe..."

As Adam watched her hideous smile, he departed from the island with Velara and Colosson.

After getting a thorough check-up in the hospital, he didn't even bother to go outside.

He fully slept for 24 hours, and then once again logged in.

'There are only 38 days left.'

Adam stared at the sunless sky and thought.

Snow was falling from the sky, from the time he started to think of his own, Adam shared a deep relationship with snow.

Most of the people hate the snow, but he likes even though it was cold and unsuitable for a normal human, Adam liked it. 

As he was staring out of the window, someone suddenly appeared before him.

"Ta-da"

"How are you? Mr Partner~"

It was Sariel, the one who leads archangels inside [Horizon]

Even, Adam didn't expect this, they grew at a tremendous level within a short period of time.

"How was my teleportation magic?" She winks at him as she asks.

He knows that no one below LvL:35 can learn teleportation magic and they even had spent a fortune to get the scroll.

Well, money is not a problem for archangels, but truly shocking news was they even started a guild and there were already about 12,000 members on it.

They were way above his guild and Adam truly couldn't understand why the heck these players joined an organization deemed evil by all the world leaders.

He shook up all these useless thoughts and asked her, "Why do come for?"

At this moment wind began to twist in the middle of the room a small portal opened and an inhumane walked out of it.

"Lord, I am truly sorry. I fell ashamed of my skills," he glances at Sariel "I even let a woman reach your room under my watch." he said with a regretful tone.

The inhumane had two short horns and blue hair, his right tooth was also a bit large to the point it extended out his mouth.

It was Roy, the Orge leader, who previously attacked the village. The orge group was the gift that Hecate bestowed upon him.

Adam couldn't help but sigh, there were more NPCs than players in his guild.

"Ha...."
