Reincarnated and Regressed Villain - Make heroines beg for forgiveness

Chapter 361- Jenny's Regrets

361  Chapter 361- Jenny's Regrets

"It's unexpected, you're fearing me after seeing all that?" Ryuk, moving all too clearly due to his resistance, noticed Sam had a slight bit of fear, which was unexpected considering he had already seen too much to react like this now, even though not much had happened a few moments ago.

Ryuk made sure not to show him anything gruesome, yet he was now fearing.

"You know, Big Sis is also cruel when beating others?" Sam inquired, giving a side-eye to Ryuk. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"I don't think—" Ryuk, who had not seen any cruelty from Esme until now, was about to mention it until the system reminded him.

[The buttplug warrior—shiver—thinking about her, even my setabytes of memory shiver. (๑•﹏•)]

'....' Ryuk, who was reminded of that day in the lower town, where he saw the facial structure of that woman cultivator whom Esme had beaten up, remembered that he could not truthfully reply about her not being cruel to Sam as he just averted his eyes.

"See? Even if love makes people blind, you cannot turn a blind eye to her cruelty." Sam, holding his hand, just took his head, clearly closing his eyes as he was reminded of why he was terrified.

'Is he really a kid?' Ryuk just casually thought, given that at Sam's age, he was engaged in reading books and experimenting with his newfound strength, not talking about love and all those things.

[You are from an older generation, a conservative thinker. ( ̄ヘ ̄;)]

[ Tch, I should have a host like some modern Gen Z kid. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ]

'....'

"I am just thinking, you are evil and she is cruel; how devilish your children would be." Sam just couldn't imagine being a big brother with dangerous children from these two evil parents.

[....]

[Can I change my previous statement?ಠ_ಠ]

While having those conversations, they had already reached the main peak. Before further discussion, a scream erupted into the air.

"Aaahhh! Please, Ryuk! Please! I beg you, don't kill my mother!"

'...This?' Ryuk, who had halted at a distance, looking in front while standing beside Sam, saw, far away, a woman in a coat, holding the feet of another girl, dressed in a white fairy dress, with silver hair and golden eyes, adorned by a black tiara, standing firmly and looking down on the one kneeling before her.

"Sob...please...I-I beg you—p-please...sniff," Jenny wept with trembling hands as she wrapped around the feet of the illusory figure resembling Ryuk.

Her whole body seemed drenched in sweat, clearly overwhelmed by the pain of repeatedly witnessing her mother die, realizing what might happen to her if she lost her only family now.

"You think your fake tears mean anything to me?" Esme said, looking down while putting Jenny under the delusion of herself appearing like Ryuk.

Her voice lashed out with malice and killing intent as she gazed at Jenny's trembling form.

The whole scene exhibited the visible intensity of pain and regret, leaving Ryuk and Sam, who were standing slightly away, feeling confused as they observed and tried to process it.

[Is she begging for forgiveness? (⊙_◎)]

[Have I lost my sense of sight? (˘・_・˘)]

'....' Ryuk, who had clearly observed how Jenny—after witnessing several events until now—had not shown any regret for her previous actions, was now begging Esme.

Though he understood she must have used an illusion to appear like him, he never thought Jenny would ever plead for forgiveness.

This whole scene was slightly confusing without context as he stood there, observing everything to make sense of it.

"Ugh...p-please...I will do whatever you want; don't harm my mother!" Jenny's desperate cries filled the air, her trembling voice cracking as she clung tightly to the illusory figure's feet.

Her face was soaked with tears, her cheeks flushed with anguish, and her eyes were wide with an all-consuming dread.

The torment of witnessing her mother die repeatedly had etched itself into her very soul; each gruesome moment was a searing scar on her psyche.

Her chest heaved with sobs, and an unbearable ache gnawed at her heart—a deep, twisting pain that seemed to radiate from her core, as if her very existence were rebelling against the possibility of losing the one person she had left.

Her hands clenched tightly, nails biting into her palms as her mind reeled with fear, regret, and desperation.

"Mother... she's all I have..." Jenny's thoughts were scattered, fragmented by the sheer weight of her despair.

Her heart pounded painfully in her chest, and the itch of sorrow clawed at her sanity.

Her body shuddered as she realized the fragility of her own world.

If her mother were gone, nothing would be left—not hope, not love, not even herself.

Esme, still maintaining the illusion of Ryuk, tilted her head slightly, her cold golden eyes glinting with calculated malice.

"Anything, you say?" she whispered, her tone sharp and cutting, carrying the cruel promise of power over the broken girl beneath her. "And what makes you think I can't force you to do without your consent?"

The words pierced Jenny's heart like knives, each word a reminder of her helplessness.

She gasped, her breath hitching as she tried to steady herself. "I-I'll do anything," she stammered again, her voice barely audible now, choked with tears and misery. "Please, please just let her live... I'll... I'll serve you... forever... just don't hurt her anymore..."

All of these scenes were witnessed by both Ryuk and Sam.

"Here, I am not greeting big sis now," Sam felt a chill in his body as he offered the ring back to Ryuk, disinterested in seeing him give the ring to his big sis.

He simply wanted to leave this place due to witnessing his big sis's current mood.

Ryuk, whose eyes were fixed on the coat-clad figure of Jenny, took the ring without batting an eye, still focused on her plea which was centered solely on her mother.

"Bye," Sam said, without hesitation, as he sprinted away, leaving only three people in that place, since Jenny's mother and grandmother had both been sent to prepare for the upcoming battle.

"P-plea...se—thud," Jenny's body, due to mental exhaustion, finally gave up at Esme's feet as she seemed to have lost consciousness, still begging for her mother's forgiveness in her last moments of coherence.

"What a hassle? Tch, I ain't going to carry you, so wake up," Esme narrowed her heart gauge as she observed Jenny losing consciousness.

She kicked Jenny's body, which caused it to fall to the ground, her breathing faint as tears streaked down her face, revealing the pain her body had endured.

Even in that situation, Esme shook her head, realizing that she would have to carry her body herself. She was clearly not in the mood to do so, as she lifted her feet, preparing to kick Jenny's body and roll it like a cylinder to travel the distance, considering she was already unconscious and there was no one around to witness her deed.

[Host, I will, as a smart system, suggest you to never lose consciousness in front of her or else you will be rolling on the ground like that, and I don't want to see my host like this. ಥ╭╮ಥ]

'How did she do it?' Ryuk, on the other hand, ignoring the system's voice, made his way towards Esme, tilting his head.

Due to his ability to conceal his presence, she wasn't able to detect him even though he had arrived near her ear, with both of his hands wrapping around her waist as he placed his chin on her shoulder and whispered, "Caught you red-handed."
