Interlude: They start moving (1)
Christina had arrived at her home, an apartment at the top of a hotel.
You would think that since she was a sword saint, she would have a luxurious apartment, but no.
Due to the hatred towards elves by some ministers, Christina's monthly salary was very small, instead of being paid 10 platinum coins, she is stuck with 100 silver coins.
The difference is very abysmal, but she does not care about that miserable salary because next year, in April, she will be officially recognized as a citizen of the empire and she will be able to take revenge on those ministers.
Today was the funeral of the second prince, after arriving she didn't turn on the lights and just walked to the fridge.
"I'm so tired, I'm hungry."
Despite being just a funeral, a sword saint works every day, more than the prime minister even.
Christina and the others just attended the ceremony and then to get on with their work.
Who came to greet her was her cat.
The cat she had was a descendant of an old cat she had, this cat has been her only friend since four generations now.
"Hello, did you feel lonely? What do you think, me too."
"But because it was a very irritable day you know."
"Is that how royalty should behave?"
Christina stopped petting her cat and became alert to the mysterious voice speaking to her.
She grabbed a kitchen knife since her sword was near the door.
As she quickly approached to plunge the knife into the intruder's throat, she paused and then sighed.
"What do you think you're doing in this place?"
"... Father."
A hooded man took off his cloak and revealed his appearance.
It was that of a beautiful man with snow white skin, long golden blond hair with green tips, his eyes were yellowish green and his ears were pointed.
It was Christina's father, Oberon the elven king.
"That's what I should be telling you Tina, what do you think you're doing working under humans?"
Christina was annoyed and moved to turn on the light.
"I can see why this little guy didn't make a sound, we must have the same scent."
As she turned it on, she went to the kitchen to get some juice.
Elves were vegetarians, they hated meat for some reason, it was in their DNA.
"Here."
"I don't want anything that was made by humans."
"Father, these humans are different from those humans that drove us out.
Oberon was annoyed by his daughter's words."
"All humans are the same Tina!"
"It doesn't matter if they are different! They drove us out of our land, they took away what our ancestress charged us to take care of!"
"Tina Christina Rosarina Hohenheim! As a member of the royal family who swore to protect the world tree you should support me in destroying those usurpers!"
Christina was the sword princess not because she was a woman, it was because she was a true princess.
A long time ago, a group of conquerors came to the elven kingdom which was located in the most hidden part of the continent.
The conquerors came from the Unified Kingdoms, a group that came in secret to fight against the Ideal Empire, but they found the elven territory and decided to use the power they had against them.
The reason was because it was in the game.
At the end of the war that lasted for days, the humans captured all the elves and gave them two choices.
Die or leave your home.
At the time Christina was a small child, her mother had died at the hands of the humans and her father bit his tongue as he agreed to leave peacefully.
Over time, a country was created there. Then they broke away from the alliance of small united kingdoms.
And in the end they ended up becoming a military power.
At that time, they became the owners of the world tree, they, the Titania Holy Kingdom, the country that will help Lily to be acclaimed as a saint after her adventure there.
But for the elves who escaped and sought refuge in the Arklight Empire, this was a humiliation.
"Father, I am not like you. I hate those humans, but these humans are different. I live here and next year I will be a citizen in every sense of the word."
Her father became annoyed and opened the window.
"Although I don't like to say it, I found a group of humans who oppose the regime in this country. I will help them since they promised to help me take back our country once they overthrow the human who rules here."
Christina immediately stopped her father with her shout.
"Stop, don't be an idiot!"
"I've been in the palace for a long time and I know what you said is a death sentence!"
"As long as we get our country back I don't care."
"It's not that!... In this country there are five laws that must not be broken, they teach them to children."
"They are forbidden words, if you want to use them in any event, radio program or performance, you must ask permission from the palace and give the reason why you will say them."
"Those words are treason, rebellion, revolution, usurpation and... coup d'tat."
After swallowing saliva she continued, but the sweat on her forehead indicated that she would not be calm.
"The reason for its prohibition is because the current emperor after coming to power, through his uncle's handiwork, was almost assassinated, that blood relative was butchered by my colleague, a monster called the twilight saint."
"After that day that line was declared with some clauses, the emperor doesn't want to be remembered as a tyrant, that's why there are the declarations of using those words."
"But that's not all, over the years there have been idiots who have tried to kill the emperor, but his faithful guardian erased them."
"Have you ever watched it?"
"Never."
"Then it's no big deal."
"Father you don't understand! If the twilight saint ever finds out about this he!"
"Tina... for the sake of our ancestress, the priestess, I must retrieve our legacy."
"..."
"If you really are a high elf like me, then you should move too."
Oberon jumped out the window as Christina bit her lips.
"The twilight saint is not someone you should play with. I saw him fight once in an exhibition fight against a retired saint... the poor guy ended up in the hospital and to this day is still in a coma and his injuries being treated."
"Not for nothing is he considered the strongest knight in the empire and perhaps the only one to be able to kill the demon knight."
On that night, someone moved to perform an event that should not happen yet.
