Chapter 866: Prophecies
Kaizen felt the atmosphere around him change as Týr spoke, as if the very air was charged with an ancient and powerful energy. He didn't back down, standing firm before the imposing god, determined to clarify his mission.
"Prophecies? What are you talking about?" Kaizen asked, curiosity evident in his voice.
Týr looked deeply into Kaizen's eyes, as if searching for something hidden in his soul. The perplexity on his face slowly gave way to an expression of seriousness and concern.
"The prophecies say that a powerful warrior, known as the Psyker, will come to me to summon me to war," Týr explained, his voice resonating with an ancient weight. "A war to conquer Asgard and bring chaos to the kingdoms, thus initiating Ragnarok. I felt your presence when you defeated Nesferati, a feat that only the Psyker could accomplish. I thought you were that warrior."
Kaizen shook his head, his expression firm and sincere. "I didn't come to summon you to war, Týr. My mission is very different from what you imagine. I need to cross the worlds to reach Muspelheim. I need to save the spirit of a friend's wife, a demon. I can go to Muspelheim, as the natural ties no longer bind me, but my companions can't and I think you're the only one who can help us with that."
Týr was silent for a moment, reflecting on Kaizen's words. He closed his eyes briefly, as if revisiting the prophecies in his mind, trying to reconcile what had been predicted with what he was hearing now.
"Saving a demon's wife..." Týr muttered, still perplexed. "That doesn't make sense. The prophecies say that the Psyker would be a conqueror and destroyer, not someone who saves people. Who is this demon you're trying to help?"
"His name is Og'tharoz," Kaizen replied, his voice firm and clear. "He's a 'roommate' who became a friend. His wife's soul was imprisoned in Muspelheim because he abandoned his post in Hell, and he has no means of rescuing her on his own. That's why I'm here, looking for a way for us all to cross over to that world and fulfill the promise I made to him."
Týr began to walk slowly through the hall, his footsteps echoing off the walls. He seemed lost in thought, pondering the implications of what Kaizen had said. The vastness of the hall seemed to shrink around them, focusing on the intense exchange of words and emotions between the two. Find adventures at m v lem|p-yr
"You really are the Psyker, Kaizen," said Týr at last, stopping and turning to face the young warrior. "However, your mission defies everything that was prophesied. This... this is something different. The prophecies have always spoken of destruction and chaos."
Kaizen stepped forward, feeling the urgency of his mission pressing down on him. "I'm not here to fulfill prophecies or any bullshit. I'm here to do what's right, to help a friend and save an innocent spirit.
If there's an alternative path to Muspelheim other than creating a hole between the worlds that leaves everything in chaos, I need to know it, if there's a teleportation ability so powerful that it can take us all, I'll give my blood for it."
Týr sighed deeply, a sigh that seemed to carry the weight of millennia of knowledge and responsibility. He raised his hand and a soft glow enveloped his fingers, manifesting itself as a floating sphere of light between him and Kaizen.
"Muspelheim is not an easy place to reach," Týr began, his voice laden with gravity. "It is a world of fire and desolation, guarded by forces that do not yield easily. The way there is treacherous and requires a deep knowledge of the ancient arts. I can give you and your friends on the surface of this lake a way to get there, but I need you to understand the risks.
You will be entering a domain where even the gods hesitate to tread. Surtr is not someone with a tolerant or peaceful temperament like me."
"I'm willing to face any risk, Týr. Og'tharoz is my friend, and I cannot abandon him in this time of need. Show me the way, and I'll do the rest."
Týr looked at Kaizen for a long moment, assessing his determination and courage. Finally, he nodded, a gesture of acceptance and recognition.
"Very well," he said, holding out his hand to Kaizen. "I will give you the knowledge you seek, but remember: the journey will be dangerous and you must not die. The Psyker is a unique being who must only die at the right time. If the prophecies are right, you will return."
Kaizen placed his hand over his heart, an expression of sincere gratitude on his face. "Thank you, Týr. Your words and your knowledge are invaluable. I promise that I will do everything in my power to honor this mission."
With a final look of warning and support, Týr sent the light towards Kaizen.
The god took a step back, allowing the majesty and silence of the hall to envelop them once again.
"Go now, Psyker," said Týr, his voice echoing through the vast space. "May the spirits of light guide your steps and protect your soul. The journey will be arduous, but I believe you can reach your goal. Remember: even in the deepest darkness, the light of hope can shine through."
Kaizen bowed respectfully before turning to leave. Every step he took resonated with renewed purpose, the certainty that he was on the right path. He knew that the challenges would be immense, but he also knew that his heart and spirit were prepared to face them.
As he left Týr's hall, Kaizen felt a new wave of determination run through his body. He wasn't just fighting for a friend; he was fighting for something bigger, something that defied prophecy itself and redefined destiny. While his thoughts were still in this storm, he swam across the dark lake to the ice-covered surface.
Was what Týr had said right? Should the Psyker be a conqueror and destroyer?
Kaizen didn't see himself that way, nor a future like this, but if this was the future that the prophecies of the gods foretold, was something going to happen for Kaizen to change his mind completely about it?
