Chapter 7: First World
Chapter 7: First World
An anxious Wen Qinxi lay down in the gaming capsule as Hei Bao hooked up all the necessary things while giving him some last minute advise.
"Don't forget to commit to whatever character the system gives you otherwise you might get kicked out. Oh and time in the game is faster so no need to stress about coming out of the game ten years later. Crap what am l saying, you might not even last a minute haha." said Hei Bao half-jokingly but Wen Qinxi just wanted to shove a dirty sock in his mouth to shut him up.
"Too noisy, I am not fucking stupid," replied Wen Qinxi as he shut his eyes to log into the game.
The next moment he opened his eyes at a game teleportation centre were the story of the first world was brought to light. It was indeed as tragic as they had described.
The first world was historical based with Qie Ranzhe as the blackened protagonist with a terrible fate. The man was dumped in the trash when he was just a newborn. He could have died in the cold dead winter but was lucky enough to be adopted by a poor old lady.
Sadly for him the old lady died just when he turned five leaving him homeless as the only living heir to the deceased seized the house kicking out Qie Ranzhe on to the street. From then on the boy became a street ruffian leading other homeless boys as their boss.
The boys survived stealing from the rich justifying it as payback for all the abuse they endured from the arrogant bastards. One day while hunting in the forest, he found a maiden by the name Zhao Huangzhi caught in one of his traps instantly falling hopelessly in love.
She was the second person who ever showed him unconditional love and for her, he was willing to turn his life around and so joined a guild to make something out of himself so he would become worthy for her hand. This was his motivation as he climbed from rank to rank becoming one of the most skilled members with exceptional talent.
He was soon promoted to the highest rank were he was transferred to work for the emperor as a mercenary only to discover something disturbing. He was an exact replica of the emperor only years younger. It was soon revealed he was the son of his favourite concubine who vanished from the palace years ago.
The thrilled emperor crowned him as his successor which didn't settle well with his brothers especially his younger brother Qie Anzhie. Out of jealous and greed, Qie Anzhie sought to destroy Qie Ranzhe by revealing his dark history and stealing the woman he loved. And so was the birth of a blackened genocidal manic who made rivers run red obliterating anyone who dared speak against him. For a man that evil there could only be a sad ending as he died a painful death from strychnine poisoning. END
"Fuck! What a shitty ending," said Wen Qinxi when he finished reading. It was just too pathetic that he actually felt sorry for Qie Ranzhe who was stuck in an endless loop going through the same thing over and over again.
"Welcome Wen Qinxi to Flaship an innovative gaming experience that will su-," spoke the gaming system before it was interrupted by Wen Qinxi
"System skip the intro and open communication channel," he said while brooding on a strategy to help Qie Ranzhe succeed. He envisioned himself being a old grandmaster guiding a young hero to victory like in Karate Kid.
"Oh, how rude and my name is not system but Jolie as in Angelina Jolie. Please enter passcode," said the system with an attitude.
"Seriously l designed you yet you argue with me about a name. If you ask me system works just fine," replied Wen Qinxi with a smirk on his face.
"Pretty fuckin awesome of you boss. You get a dog and name it dog. Well done such a great naming system," said the Jolie in a sarcastic tone.
"What the fuck! Fine, fine Jolie. Pass code Qieranzheisajerk," he replied deciding not to argue with an AI before the game even started.
"l don't think my CEO will appreciate that but who l am to judge your stupidity. Channel open, good bye,"
Wen Qinxi couldn't believe what he had just heard, someone had tinkered with his creation and it had to be one of those bastards in the gaming room.
"Wen Qinxi how is it going in there?" asked the busybody Hei Bao.
"Why did you mess with my system, its just a prototype but you have already given it a stupid name," he complained wishing he could get back out there and lock some functions so they wouldn't change a thing.
"Whoo hold it right there, it wasn't me. It was Xia Bai," replied Hei Bao pointing at the real culprit.
"You have to admit bro, calling a system, system was pretty lame," said a defensive Xia Bai.
"What about the F bombs its dropping was that you too?" asked Wen Qinxi feeling sorry for future clients who would have to interact with a vulgar sassy system
"That wasn't me l wonder whoelse curses like a sailor all day? Oh right, that's you. It definitely learnt it from you," said Xia Bai taunting him.
Wen Qinxi suddenly couldn't refute that, he had a filthy mouth so it only made sense. Once he was done helping Qie Ranzhe, he vowed to redesign the system. "Fine, fine, what character am l going in as?"
"Let me check," replied Hei Bao looking through the system. Suddenly a pop up screen appeared in front of Wen Qinxi asking him to start the game. He abruptly clicked yes and was instantly teleported into the first world but he didn't wake up on a comfy bad or land nicely on the ground.
Wen Qinxi woke up underwater drowning as the water rushed into his lungs. The guy couldn't swim and so struggle as the roaring waters swept him down river. When they said he should create a realistic game, he truly created an exceptionally realistic game. The feeling of drowning was simply too real.
By sheer luck, he managed to grab hold of a floating log which ultimately saved him from drowning and being kicked out of the game so early. "Guys! Guys!" he called out to Hei Bao and Xia Bai but none of them responded.
Wen Qinxi continued drifting till the river had lost much of its strength allowing him to reach the river bank. He was panting and gasping for air while lying on the ground when he heard a little girl screaming. "Ahhhh its a ghost!!!!!" she screamed while running toward town.
A puzzled Wen Qinxi raised his head in confusion. "Where? What fuckin ghost?"
"Uhm senior Wen," said a nervous Hei Bao who all of a sudden called him senior which none of them ever did. "Your character is Lin Jingxie, a rich young master and tyrants. Apparently you have been a serious cannon fodder, bullying Qie Ranzhe's boys for years."
"Oh snap thats messed up. How am l supposed to help him now?" he said lying back down in defeat.
"Ahem," coughed a nervous Xia Bai, "that's not the worst of it. The whole town heard you drowned but your body has been missing for three days and Qie Ranzhe is that one who killed you though only him and his boys know that secret," explained Xia Bai before cutting off communication using 'out for lunch' as an excuse.
They didn't want to hear Wen Qinxi cursing them out to high heaven. As the saying goes what you can't hear, can't hurt you. Even the system packed it's bags not forgetting to censor him on the way out.
"F@#$##$#$#@@@##k!" cursed a censored Wen Qinxi venting out his anger. Not only did Qie Ranzhe hate his character, he even killed him, well now it was attempted murder. How was he going to help him now?

Some where in the forest a group of boys hunting suddenly got interrupted by a little boy calling out to them. "Big brother Ran! Big brother.....huh...phoo....Li-Lin Jingxie is alive!" said the boy huffing and puffing trying to catch his breath.
"Fuck!" yelled a stunned Qie Ranzhe.
